The entire Dark Side of the Moon album is a concept album about different human experiences like greed, aging, death, mental illness. Each song blends into the next with a continuous segway of sounds, talking, laughing and such.
There are many songs that will withstand time but I like to characterize songs into whether they sound like their time or timeless and this song definitely sounds ahead of it's time but still aged in some aspects with the main "beat" or instrumental sounding very old school..

This whole album is straight fire. Every song is done in a different style and you have no idea where they're gonna go next. It's worth a front-to-back listen.

Wow you reacted to this on my grandpa's birthday we celebrated his life and watched videos that had him in it his favorite band was pink floyd he loved this song one of his favorites thank you for being a reminder.
Best album ever written and it celebrated 50 years old last year and was remastered (even though it didn't have to be). Half a century old and it sounds extremely fresh even today. Listen to Time - Pink Floyd from the same album, it's so beautiful/sad it's unreal
Remastering albums often ruins them when digital tech is used to “improve,” them. Have ever heard a remastered classic rock album with pitch correction?” To many of them today do that.
Dude during the whole video the one eye symbolism is real. A lot of 90 80 70s music talks about what is happening today . You should 90s into early 2000. Man
You can't pick up on the meaning of the song out of context... It's one piece of the Dark Side of the Moon concept... All of the pressures of life that can drive you to insanity.
Great video LayedBak! You were right, the song is about money being the prime motivator for many people in society, and the outlook that imposes upon them. As others have said, the whole album is a concept album (as are several of their others) where every song has a specific theme, but they all tie together into a greater narrative. I'd personally suggest watching a lyric video next time you do Pink Floyd (or Tool), since then you can catch all the bars and not be distracted by the visuals. Again, great video, hope to see more! with Pink Floyd, from Dark Side of the Moon to The Final Cut, every album is based on a theme, and every song is along that theme so listening to just one song on an album will never give you the whole story, the same with Roger Waters solo albums, thanks for the great vid :D
Yo LayedBak, love the videos man!! Been watching since 2019. When you can , you have GOT TO TRY their song “Time”. It’s the ONLY song I know that’s timeless, has been a BANGER reaction EVERY time I see it.Trust me, it makes you think mentally and realize the time we’ve wasted so far

It also had signs of the diamond mines, the exploitation that occurs to get this "glorified" money that they talk about that everyone wants. Getting the levels of wealth talked about rarely comes for free and it's important to think about where it comes from and who you're affecting by living that type of lifestyle.

You should do a full reaction to "Dark Side of the Rainbow" When I was growing up in the 90s it was a huge thing to get twisted out of your gourd and try to time the start of this album (Dark Side of the Moon) and the movie "The Wizard of Oz" so that they were in perfect sync. A few years later a project was released called "The Dark Side of The Rainbow" where it was already perfectly cued.
