and I have finished one of them! I'm so excited to show this cute tiny sketchbook from Stillman and Birn Zeta series (amzn.to/3Pfa7Al). This one has been in my handbag for all the year of 2023 and I filled it on location, with watercolor and pens. It's nice to look inside and remember things that happened.

Lovely little book; I just purchased my first little one, but I haven't started in it yet.
Please don't feel like you need to apologize for your imperfect horse‐‐ I find horses to be the #1 most difficult thing to get right. There are so many muscles, and so many curves along the muscles, and wavy sheen along the curves, and veins--don't forget the veins.... Your horse was good enough; we knew exactly what it was. I call imperfections "artistic license".
plus, it was the first time,I drew a horse!

Hello, Cecile. I loved it. Thank you for sharing. I'm currently drawing in a small notebook that I call sketchbook. I found it in a shop and I thought I could draw in it. My drawings tend to be big so in this sketchbook I'm practicing drawing small.
It's always a good idea to change the scale of our drawings, it helps to have new perspectives.

How long does it take for you to draw one page? Do you litteraly stop your visit and just sit on a bench and draw / paint ? If you are not alone, the people with you has to wait that you have finished?😂
Or, (less nice but more practical) you take a photo and draw later at home? I would love do that for souvenir when i’m travelling, but I fell like i’m too slow and I would take forever (4h) in a bench to draw 😂 and my husband will not be happy 😂.

Hi, I'm mostly alone, so I take all the time I need. When i'm with someone, I draw a lot in cafés and restaurants, so they are busy doing something else and can wait for me. Or i'll just draw on location, take a photo, and add the color at home later. It really depends!
@@CecileYadro thanks for the answer. I may improve my speed to draw (not trying to catch all details) and put the color after. Maybe allow me 10min to draw, so that it’s not too long and you can have some details.
