I saw Nightwish live for the first time on Monday night at Wembley Arena, I don't care how many videos you watch, nothing can prepare you for the experience of actually being there, nothing and I mean nothing can prepare you for hearing Floor sing in person, it's an other worldly experience.
I concur I got to see them about a week after she started in October 2012, even though it was a small venue and had an obstucted view because I'm in a wheelchair security wouldn't let me be upfront it was still was one of the best times of my life. Also had to travel over 3 hours to get there.
I can't tell you what the others in the crowd felt, but I can tell you exactly what happened to me.Shortly before my eleventh birthday, this was my first concert.Until then, I only knew classical music from my parents' house and didn't know what metal or who Nightwish was. When the band started playing and the light show started, I was shocked by all that. But as soon as Floor entered the stage, I thought I was dreaming. In my eyes, this was not a singer from a metal band, but my heroine the warrior princess Xenia from TV.As soon as she started singing, I just thought 'WOW why didn't I know Xenia could sing'.And at that moment I fell in love with this music and with Floor's voice. From the concert I only know that my grandparents had problems to keep me under control. I was just freaking out.But what I remember very well, when they played 'Last Ride of the Day' and then said goodbye, I really cried like a little girl because it was already over...That's my story to this song and about this very special concert for me.
What a wonderful story! You should definitely feature in the upcoming fan documentary "WE WERE THERE!" to mark the 10yr anniversary of NW's Wacken 2013 next year 😁
There was a young girl just a few seats along frome who seemed to have the same reaction. It's good to see young people listening to Nightwish. I have been a classical man for 60 years, with rock overlapping that for the last 50. I know Tuomas considers himself more of a film composer than classical but there are many similarities.
@@NickBR57 Since then in Wacken I have been to some Nightwish concerts and have noticed one thing again and again - there is no generational conflict! Their music is simply timeless and connects the generations. Is there anything more beautiful?Btw,on Sunday I see Nightwish and especially Floor again at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.I am sure that this concert will be something very special.😘

Tuomas, Emppu, Marko, and Jukka came out gut-punched 82,000 people, and slapped them in the face. Then Floor marches on like a boss and clutches their souls, for which she doesn’t let go for the 15-song set. Most of this audience had not seen nor heard Floor as the lead singer of Nightwish. By the way, you still need to do the one and only instrumental from this show, Last of the Wilds. You’ll dig it.
I finally saw them at Wembley Arena this week and it was amazing. Noise was the opener and it was fantastic. My husband, who wasn't a fan, has now been converted. As he said, they are so much better live than recorded. I can't explain how great of an evening we had watching them. 👍💚
Hi Helen - my Brother said exactly the same thing as your Husband - he was very impressed. More of a Beast in Black fan but hopefully he'll take a deeper look into what I personally believe is one of the best bands in the world, not only musically but lyrically too!
Helen, same here took a mate on Monday night who totally new to Nightwish. Noise fantastic opener. End of concert my mate was just overwhelmed and hugged me for bringing him. Now wants to see them again.
I was at this show and it was the first time for me seeing and hearing Floor. She took my heart within seconds. This concert was a once in a lifetime experience. I've seen a lot over the years, but this remains as one of the top 3 concerts of my life. Along side with Queen (back in '86 in Muinich) and TOOL.
They ended the entire 3-day festival, and they took over from Alice Cooper, who had given a quite good rock concert, building up the intensity. This song - the start where Tuomas gives us all kinds of instruments - not really in sync as people can recognize - and then Tuomas garhers all of it with the symphony, adds the metal in sync - and then add Floor..and she does the same, uses all kinds of techniques, in the same sentences - but crystal clear and powerful. Tuomas must be the happiest composer of all times - and Floor likewise because of Tuomas's compositions and lyrics. And that goes for everyone in the band. Great reaction from you 👍 🤘 🤘
Ah the lyrics Eric. . . . . . . Tuomas writes from observation and experiences. You know he has some well used pseudonyms for himself in lyrics with references thereto, so when you have boy, poet, dreamer, writer/song writer or ocean soul in a lyric, it is Tuomas referencing himself. The dark chest did and maybe does still exist, Tuomas found it in his grand parents attic full of toys and story books that carried his imagination off in excitement to all manner of wondrous places. Therefore throughout this song Floor sings "one with a pure heart" in a very high head voice, just as you might expect from an excited small child, that being Tuomas himself. Now look at the lyrics again and it all makes sense, Tuomas never includes notes or lyrics that are "fillers" or embellishment, it is all there for a very good reason, sometimes almost impenetrable or ambiguous. "Of the one with pure heart, once so long ago".
NW: everybody gets 3 weeks off between Latin America and Europe. Floor, what are your plans? Floor: not much. Just a quick surgery for Breast Cancer! Opening night, sold out show, our Queen delivers, Again. Living definition of "Ride it 'till the wheels Fall TF Off. 💖🤘👸🐺
Whee, another. Eric is one of the best reactors for Nightwish in the net (with TankTheTech, Cameron and Charismatic Voice). They all have different aspects they comment and I think I enjoy Erics insights the most.
Dude, this concert is absolute magic. When I first discovered this band, I watched/listened to this over and over and over for weeks. Its basically as perfect as possible. Even if you don't "react" to each and every song, I highly suggest checking it out for your own sake.
The best part for me is how Emppu and Marco time it perfectly to cross exactly in front of where is entering the stage for the first time that night. It's like they're pulling the curtains open for her. she had not been with them for very long at this point, and it was shortly after this masterpiece of a concert that she was invited to join permanently and the world changed for all of us! I don't think any band has ever had more fun on stage than Nightwish! We must also remember that this is the first time most of these people had heard Floor with the band ... and she owns every single friggin' song, and then there's Ghost Love Score ... the one we all dropped our jaws upon first listen. Kudos, Eric! It's always a treat to watch your reactions!! That's why I'm subbed!
Floor was with the band just 10 months at that time, still not a member of the band. that was announced after the show. And THAT, my friend, is how you open a damn SHOW!!!
I could not believe that Canada were incapable of scoring. So many chances!! And yes Nightwish is the best. Imagine going to this concert not knowing what to expect if you didn't know Floor and this is the opening number. Magical.
Good evening äh morning Eric and all you others 😀. Dark Chest Of Wonders.... I heard the song line: "all the burdens gone, open the chest once more!" ! Don't give up, you have a second chance. Be strong to stay yourself, never sell your soul. " the window is open wide... take a step outside" don't be afraid of hights. We all have more than just a second chance. We can mourn the past, but we shall not melt in self-pity! What an opening to a show and to ones mind and soul. All beginnings are dark; just like the rabbithole you stept in by listening to your first NIGHTWISH song 😆. NIGHTWISH and Floor made a step outside into the uncertain, not knowing this magic ride was predetermined. "She is home" TUOMAS said. Dark Chest Of Wonders is full of hope and feelings of unknown adventures. It just makes me smile... Good night from Germany 🤗 and parkinson's sucks ⚘ and EMPPU RULES 🤘😎
The Unveiling of Floor , so to speak ....obviously alot of people knew her from After Forever and Revamp but whole lotta people didnt , they ALL knew her at the END.
I saws Nightwish for the first time with Floor on Tuesday and was blown away, I saw them with Tarja so so long ago. Wacken 2013 has to be one of the all time classic Concert videos, it captured Nightwish at their magnificent best. Floor is simply the best front woman on the planet
i saw them live last night here in birmingham UK and belive me they are brilliant live and i am old enough to have seen zep sabbath and queen live and they are up there with them
You can always tell where they are in a concert by watching how many pieces of clothes tuomas has on, he starts with a hat jacket shirt and undershirt by the end just the undershirt love them they are the best God bless
Eric, at the Wembley gig a few nights ago, I caught Emppu´s guitar pick that he threw out during Dark Chest Of Wonders :D What an amazing night it was!! I just love the energy of this song. Amazing lyrics too.
Nightwish Ladies and Gentlemen!!! They have opened the Valhalla gates, and now the Valkyrie Goddess walks among us 🤘🤩🤘!!! This is one of three great openings from them ("Dark Chest Of Wonders", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and now "Music" intro followed by "Noise" ). At this point Floor had been with Nightwish for 10 months. Most fans had not seen her yet with Nightwish. And Wacken was the biggest concert for Nightwish, they were the headliner, the last performer right after Alice Cooper. Nightwish ended the concert around midnight. NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
And now Nightwish is featuring Simpsons in the last episode showed in US November 20th. Your's is an Empty Hope". They are gradually starting to take the whole world.
Yess finally 😉 I love this song so much, I was so surprised that you didn't do this before. It's the ultimate opener for this fantastic concert. This was Floor's introduction to the European crowd. She had been with NW in the US then went to South America, but most Europeans hadn't seen her live with them. It took about 20 seconds to win over the crowd. This song has it all 🤘🏽
Hello everybody! I see that many of you suggested that Eric react to Shudder Before The Beautiful. He already did a reaction to it 7 months ago. You can check it out in the video section of his channel. You can check out any other reactions by typing the song title in the search bar and hit enter. Go on and explore Eric's "Dark Chest Of Wonders" 😉🤘
Will come back later (am at an Arch Enemy gig that’s about to start) but I just wanna say that when I saw Nightwish live last month this song made me sob like a baby. Caught me by surprise lol.
What I felt in this full concert is that they behave like a classical orchestra, where no one overplays their instrument to trample over the musical piece. The show-off only comes when they are extremely precise in their performance. I just need to get tickets when they come to Spain. They are amazing.
@@kentuckytrucker7218 I've just looked for that episode and I don't hear the song in the episode. I've seen a clip of it in floorworld but I think it was a mashup. I don't think it was originally in the episode.
This is one of the best concert openers from NW. Other was Shudder before the Beautiful and Your's is an Empty Hope. Last ride of the day was this concerts last song.
They're amazing live 😁 The thing from the COVID times that I'd love to see your thoughts on is a double reaction - How's the Heart both studio and live with just Floor, Troy, and an acoustic guitar at Planet Rock 😉 HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🤘😎🎸
Loved the reaction. The 82000 plus audience were mostly expecting Anette with Nightwish, so they decided (very smart) to start the concert at full speed and they did not introduce Floor till they had finished several songs. By then she had already captured their hearts. Best opener ever.
I saw them last sunday in Antwerp on the 1 leg of the European tour. 3 weeks after surgery it's back the Old Floor! Watching her head banging end windmilling!! Dancing on "I Want My Tears Back" getting a little emotional at the end of "Sleeping Sun". I was there and never saw a stronger woman preform on stage. Sorry for Marco, but Floor took a great part (and Troy) of his singing. Fantastic Band! Fantastic concert! It promised for the rest of the tour. Fasten your Seatbelts!
Great reaction to this opener to a legendary concert. Tremendous breakdown of the entire band and Floor. Love it. Keep the Nightwish reactions coming, including their great 2022 concerts. Carol, my wife of 41 years, and I saw them live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and they were amazing... voice and stage presence. Nice to see that she is back doing live performances with Nightwish these last few days. They have 20+ concerts scheduled over the next 29 days. Floor, coming out of all the stress of her cancer surgery, is so beautiful and sounds fantastic. She is also very open with her audiences that she has not had the chance to rehearse with the band before starting this leg of her tour. And even in the couple of instances where she has lost her lines with the lyrics, she has handled it like a total pro. What an amazing woman. A treasure to us all.
saw her perform live on Sunday (20/11), after a difficult period (cancer), she was phenomenal, how she played the audience with her voice, movements, etc. Floor has only gotten better and better in the 10 years of Nightwish.🤟🏻🤟🏻🎶🎶
Update on Floor taking to the stage after her surgery. This is the video I've been looking for these past days. Knew that she got overwhelmed by emotions at the end of "Sleeping Sun". Here it is: "Nightwish - Sleeping Sun (emotional Floor at the end) Antwerp, 20 november 2022" - ua-cam.com/video/GZrSZeBpDKU/v-deo.html 🙏🫂
Eric...again...you are the only one who is able to explain a non-instrument-player or expert why he feels that song is great........Thank you for that.
I believe you nailed it. Many of the songs are about lost childhood innocence. I can't listen to Meadows of Heaven without crying. I understand this feeling too well and that song throws me into every lyric, as good art should. I do digress from the song you are reacting to though, but the theme runs through many of his songs. I saw them in Oklahoma City in 2009 with Annette. She sang this well, but Floor? I'm at a loss of words to describe her talent.
Wow. You are so goooooood at breaking down songs with one listen. So much of what you say, it took me 50 listens to see/hear/find...and still you show me more! Yeah, one hell of an opening number. And Last Ride of the Day is the perfect ending for this concert. This setlist was so well thought out, even after all the times I have listened to this full concert, it NEVER gets old. Thanks Eric. This was great!!
It's fun to see how every member of the band keeps their eye on her throughout this entire show, Marco has said that he loved watching the crowd react to her on stage, they all look happy and content especially Tuomas, it's like they all realize they had finally found the perfect fit! and from that year on they just took off, Tuomas could explore so much more because of Floors range and ability to use whatever style fit the songs, she has said that on E.F.M.B. he challenged her to use everything she had, and I think she delivered and so far, it's my favorite .
Nightwish is a master class in opening a show. Their openings are fantastic ETA: If you haven't done Shudder Before the Beautiful from Wembley, it's another awesome show opener.
I traveled to London this week to see Nightwish at Wembley again and when they suddenly started this song I got shivers all over. It certainly brings its own type of mood for sure.
I’ve always believed that drums are the heartbeat of a band & Jukka is amazing & surely missed. No disrespect to Kai, but when I first saw a Nightwish video, It was Jukka on drums so I kind of favor him over Kai. Also miss Marko like crazy too! 😊
Saw NW in the early 2000 and now, Hopefully, after rescheduling the concert 2 times because of .... you all know what happend in the past 2 years, I will see them in 1 week here in Germany again! Can't wait to see Floor in person sing! really looking forward, BTW love your reaction as allways!
That was the opening! It blew everybody's reality and the whole audience exploded! And, what does Floor drinks to keep her voice immaculate to the whole consert? These musical master pieces are NO joke to anyone's voice. Still the best live performance ever.
Wacken 2013 starring Nightwish and co-starring the 80,000 is..wow!! The energy this band always creates with their crowd connection is incredible!! Get on the Nightwish express. It takes you away. You don’t know where they’ll take you but you know it going to be friggin’ epic every time . Sensory overload….and Floorgasms..NW style!!
That showopener was Floors "baptism by fire" to the big European nightwish fanbase, for shure there were some shows on the continent before Wacken but only for a 3 to 5k audiance.. Nightwish was the end of the whole festival,,,and Floor.... She was superb. She not only took the spectators in the palm of her hand from this first Song on, she closed her hand, held... and she only opened it after the end the show closer " Last ride of the day".
This is one of my favourite Nightwish songs. Floor is fantastic on it. It’s also the opener to The End of An Era Concert, so they’ve had been doing it as an opener for awhile. Now they open with songs unique to Floor, and it’s great, and absolutely just right.
Thanks for reacting to this Gem. Yes, that was the Wacken Opener...also know as the Tutorial "How-to-open-a-show". And yes, Floor was relatively new at that time...at least this was the first BIG show in Europe with her....and imho a perfect way to inaugurate the Valkyrie Queen. If you havent done it already.....what about having a look at "Sleeping Sun" from Nightwish from Tampere ? All Hail the Queen !
the original lyrics from 2005 Once I had a dream And this is it (Once there was a child's dream) One night the clock struck twelve (Side note Floor starts to sing here) The window open wide (Once there was a child's heart) The age I learned to fly And took a step outside (Once I knew all the tales) It's time to turn back time Follow the pale moonlight (Once I wished for this night) Faith brought me here It's time to cut the rope and Fly to a dream Far across the sea All the burdens gone Open the chest once more Dark chest of wonders Seen through the eyes Of the one with pure heart Once so long ago The one in the Big Blue is what the world stole from me This night will bring him back to me Fly to a dream Far across the sea All the burdens gone Open the chest once more Dark chest of wonders Seen through the eyes Of the one with pure heart Once so long ago Fly to a dream Far across the sea All the burdens gone Open the chest once more Dark chest of wonders Seen through the eyes Of the one with pure heart Once so long ago
Happy Thanksgiving Eric. This is how you get a crowd HYPED! The choir staccato reminds me of O Fortuna by Carl Orff on the soundtrack to 1981 movie Excalibur.
Once came out in 2004 and this show was about a year after she started. Tuomas said in a interview can't remember when, he wants the listeners to have there own interpretation of the songs, not what the songs mean to him.
Eric, you bring a lot every time you react, you are the ONLY reactor that brings us NW army/fans a whole lot extra. Everytime i get a mssg you uploaded a reaction i leaf behind what i am doing and go strait to youre reaction, Thnxxxx
Eric, I think in many ways you're as much of a poet as Tuomas is, the way you describe your experience and analysis of the songs you listen to could very well be coming straight out of a audio book about Nightwish. Amazing stuff, incredibly enjoyable to listen to you when you let your feelings out after listening to a new song. Nothing like it on UA-cam! ❤️
You are correct, Eric. The song is on the 2004 Once album. It was also used as the opener at the 2005 Helsinki show(End of an Era) with Tarja. It has been played mid set on the current tour. How do you follow up an opener like that? Wacken Song #2 was Wish I Had An Angel, the song that closed End of an Era.
Superlatives cannot describe this song and performance. The whole Wacken show was like an immense high experienced with addictive shot in the arm. Once more a wonderful and enjoyable reaction Eric ❤
clicked like while the video was still buffering. Gotta love a 28-minute reaction video for a 5 minute song!! 🤘 You need to do My Walden (official live)
This may be the best show opening ever ... the punch build and then floor struts out arms raised taking command of 80,000+ most of them had never heard let alone seen Floor with Nightwish. She was known in the metal fans of Europe, still the anticipation of Floor with Nightwish was huge. The Tarja fans were jaded but hopeful because many knew Floor had range and ability far beyond Annette. With all that said ... challenge for you (yes react but of course edits due to length) ... one day do the whole Wacken show from start to finish, what you will witness is mind blowing. The energy for 15 songs ... Ghost Love Score being the 13th will really change how you look at Ghost and a few others that are crazy high energy 40 - 50 - 60 minutes in. Insanely it seems to get stronger the longer they set goes.
This is currently (and has been quite a while) my favourite NW song. The energy is just so compelling and the song is so balanced while also very versatile. The only flaw is that it's too damn short. 😅 The album version starts with the spoken words "Once I had a dream and this is it" and everytime I hear them I get immediate goosepumps, because first of all I know what is coming next, but also because it's just so amazing how true those words still are - they are really living the dream of so many musicians. And as a show starter this is just perfect, Shutter Before The Beautiful is a close second. I have heard Dark Chest live a few times, but not as a starter and I hope I get to hear it also that way one day.
Thank you, Eric, for another amazing analysis. You point out so many great details on songs I've listened to a hundred times and it makes me appreciate them even more.
Thank you very many! Yes, you are right! I remember when she came to the stage for the "first time officially", not as a member yet, like Troy. It was just mind blowing again. I saw them live first time in 1996 and dozens of times since, mostly in Finland and Europe. Last time this spring, three times on a row in Tampere and Helsinki, just before their Canada & US - tour. Not at Summer, cause I was following "Northern Kings"-come back tour. 😁🤩
Hi Eric myself and my wife saw NIGHTWISH for the first time at the NEC BIRMINGHAM on Tuesday night gone & it was EPIC. I have to give HUGE respect to FLOOR considering how fast she came back and she was lol FLOORLESS.
Last night I went to an Epica concert here in Buenos Aires... last month I saw Nightwish.... And I totally agree with you about that you came different after experience this kind of art... today I woke up tired to work but feeling absolutely fantastic remembering what I lived last night... metal life for ever 🤘🏻🖤
This song is probably one of my favourite live songs from them, especially the End of an Era version with Tarja. I love Floor, but this sung by Tarja is just amazing
Hi Eric, greetings from UK 😊 You caught lots of things on this one which I hadn't noticed, or explained the possible meanings behind things like the 'sexy' sighs Floor did during the performance so thank you for that. It has given me different things to look out for the next time I hear this track

Exactly!!
Yes, that is a perfect stage timing moment, it makes a great impression every time I watch this clip. 😊
Wacken 2013 is pure perfection from start to finish
I also Like the opener of Wembley 2015. "Shudder before the beautiful" very cool.

Lol, I always forget about that, but it’s so true
What better way to walk into work. Thunderous riffs, Flashing lights, Gouts of fire and explosions, and a roaring crowd.
Eric, at the Wembley gig a few nights ago, I caught Emppu´s guitar pick that he threw out during Dark Chest Of Wonders :D What an amazing night it was!! I just love the energy of this song. Amazing lyrics too.
Well you see Dark Chest Of Wonders is the song of the day
@@reeilona It really is dear Ree

Ooooh, that would be my favourite souvenir to get from the concert I'll see in Hamburg 🤩😍
Happy for you and fingers crossed for myself 😉😁
@@Marina-Gee Have a great concert in Hamburg :)
I'm just home after seeing Nightwish for the 1st time in Dublin. They played this song and they were amazing.❤️
This song has it all 🤘🏽
I concur 😁
I concur, Finnish Jaeger battalion reporting to duty.
I'm glad you enjoyed it 🤘
And the best knowing… this is not only a Nightwish crowd … but all metal music lovers!
They featured Yours is an Empty Hope on The Simpsons ..Great banger from Nightwish
I couldn't find that on UA-cam unfortunately

@@kentuckytrucker7218 I've just looked for that episode and I don't hear the song in the episode. I've seen a clip of it in floorworld but I think it was a mashup. I don't think it was originally in the episode.

Opening show, floor 10 months in. I think this is concert 46...your analysis is spot on too.
This is one of the best concert openers from NW. Other was Shudder before the Beautiful and Your's is an Empty Hope. Last ride of the day was this concerts last song.
This is where 80k+ people were told ‘hello my name is Floor and I now own you.’
Another banger. That song was like a hype man for the rest of the concert.
great reaction Eric. love how authentic you are.ROCK ON
They're amazing live 😁
The thing from the COVID times that I'd love to see your thoughts on is a double reaction - How's the Heart both studio and live with just Floor, Troy, and an acoustic guitar at Planet Rock 😉
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🤘😎🎸
Such a great opening. What an introduction to most of the European fans to Floor. Stunning.
Best opener for a live concert.
Ever.
Change my mind.
This whole show is great! There's a part where Emppue is standing next to Tuomas he points at Floor as if to say she's pretty good huh. Awesome.
Well, this is one of the best show openers of the Century! 😎👍
Nightwish is a master class in opening a show. Their openings are fantastic
ETA: If you haven't done Shudder Before the Beautiful from Wembley, it's another awesome show opener.
I traveled to London this week to see Nightwish at Wembley again and when they suddenly started this song I got shivers all over. It certainly brings its own type of mood for sure.
None of the songs from Wacken 2013 where written for Floor and the whole concert is great from start to finish 😍
Can't believe you haven't done this one yet, one of their best.
I was there , that was the opening song . The first three:Dark Chest of Wonders · Wish I Had an Angel · She Is my sin
Greetings from Portugal 🤘🤘
I’ve always believed that drums are the heartbeat of a band & Jukka is amazing & surely missed. No disrespect to Kai, but when I first saw a Nightwish video, It was Jukka on drums so I kind of favor him over Kai. Also miss Marko like crazy too! 😊
I love Jukka too. He’s just so passionate
Not a bad way to start a concert. :)
I bow my head down in aawwh for the lesson I got again!
Thank you Eric!
Much love to you and Ukraine
🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
Thanks for reacting to this Gem. Yes, that was the Wacken Opener...also know as the Tutorial "How-to-open-a-show". And yes, Floor was relatively new at that time...at least this was the first BIG show in Europe with her....and imho a perfect way to inaugurate the Valkyrie Queen.
If you havent done it already.....what about having a look at "Sleeping Sun" from Nightwish from Tampere ?
All Hail the Queen !
the original lyrics from 2005
Once I had a dream
And this is it
(Once there was a child's dream)
One night the clock struck twelve (Side note Floor starts to sing here)
The window open wide
(Once there was a child's heart)
The age I learned to fly
And took a step outside
(Once I knew all the tales)
It's time to turn back time
Follow the pale moonlight
(Once I wished for this night)
Faith brought me here
It's time to cut the rope and
Fly to a dream
Far across the sea
All the burdens gone
Open the chest once more
Dark chest of wonders
Seen through the eyes
Of the one with pure heart
Once so long ago
The one in the Big Blue is what the world stole from me
This night will bring him back to me
Fly to a dream
Far across the sea
All the burdens gone
Open the chest once more
Dark chest of wonders
Seen through the eyes
Of the one with pure heart
Once so long ago
Fly to a dream
Far across the sea
All the burdens gone
Open the chest once more
Dark chest of wonders
Seen through the eyes
Of the one with pure heart
Once so long ago
Yes this the opener. The full concert is on UA-cam. I think after this is Wish I Had An Angel.
I love a nice, low-key ballad as a show-opener
🤣👏👏
Very good, kudos, you're absolutely right
What´s more, right after this opener goes I Wish I Had an Angel, which makes it an overwhelming power combo intro.
Eric, you bring a lot every time you react, you are the ONLY reactor that brings us NW army/fans a whole lot extra. Everytime i get a mssg you uploaded a reaction i leaf behind what i am doing and go strait to youre reaction, Thnxxxx
I concur.
Great start to a great concert; pyro, lightshow, driving music, Jukka and Marko killing it...then the Goddess arrives.
He has already done My Walden Tampere about three months ago :) Check it out, it is WONDERFUL!!
@@reeilona I think I've watched them all. I'll need to go and look that up again.
Insanely it seems to get stronger the longer they set goes.
the best opener ever🤘❤
Just seen them at Wembley, awesome experience especially with a crowd.
The opener!
It was a magical night and they came out of the Gates and kept the energy the whole setlist. And you're right, leaving I thought OMG!!!!
Instant of Time, Then the Short Wait, The Quiet, Its Coming, Then Roar and Bang, The Music, Now In Sync, Then Floored, Enjoy the Time.
Hi Eric myself and my wife saw NIGHTWISH for the first time at the NEC BIRMINGHAM on Tuesday night gone & it was EPIC.
I have to give HUGE respect to FLOOR considering how fast she came back and she was lol FLOORLESS.
Oh... I think you nailed it in your interpretation. I may be wrong, but that's the way I've always seen it.
Eric....as always! Thanks, and greetings from The Netherlands.
I concur. Saw them live May 18, 2022 along with Beast in Black on their USA tour at the Warfield in San Francisco. Was a blast. So good live.
This song is probably one of my favourite live songs from them, especially the End of an Era version with Tarja. I love Floor, but this sung by Tarja is just amazing
Hi Eric, greetings from UK 😊
You caught lots of things on this one which I hadn't noticed, or explained the possible meanings behind things like the 'sexy' sighs Floor did during the performance so thank you for that. It has given me different things to look out for the next time I hear this track
You saw how they opened their 2015 shows at Wembley and Tampere with "Shudder Before The Beautiful". Kick in the F'ing door, baby! Let's Go!
Cannot wait!! Sunday in Amsterdam!🤘❤️
"Fire up all the canons! We take no prisoners! Arrrgh!"😁
