Well, it seems he composes the themes and general melodies for the orchestral parts, records them in instrumental demos, and then consults Pip Williams about how to arrange them for an orchestra and a choir. Pip does enough work regarding this that he could be called a "7th bandmember," for example in this one he created the horror-like soundscape in the start of the 3rd part behind Floor's haunting vocals (the red scene) and there was a lot for him to do in the 4th part too. Really great reaction. Love watching the emotions you went through during this performance. I've watched more than 100 reactions to this song and go through those emotions each and every time, including tears. Tuomas is a once in a lifetime pure musical genius. I often wonder how someone who is blessed, or cursed, with his amazing creativity for music can turn it all off to have a good night's sleep. The classical master composer, Gustav Mahler, once said his creative juices were never at rest and very often it was a burden to bare. Wonder if Tuomas has to deal with that. I consider both men to be legendary titans in the musical composition world. Thanks for doing this performance justice in your reaction. Ron
Hi Ron, thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I can understand why this was an important one to react to. It is really out of this world and it's hard to Fathom how Tuomas is so talented, to say the least. Cheers Ron, see you in the next one. 😃🤘

"It is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We priviledged few who won the lottery of birth against all odds... how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred." --- Professor Richard Dawkins
Hello Thomas I can feel for you. I get tears in my eyes every time during the intro and at the end. The song is a masterpiece, simply epic. It is in no way inferior to great classical works. In my opinion Tuomas Holopainen is the Mozart of rock / metal. Go on with your channel, Greetings from Germany
Danke schoen Der! I agree, it is hard to find the right words to describe. I want more people to hear this song and be inspired by it. Tuomas is a metal Mozart indeed. Thanks and stay safe! :)
This song hit me hard in the feels when I listened it for the first time from cd, and it only got better after seeing this live version. Just lovely saga of The Earth ❤️
Wonderful reaction! Yes, prof. Dawkins recorded especially for nightwish, if you watch the version from Wembley, you can see prof.Dawkins at the end of the greatest show. You probably have to look at this a couple of times to see and hear everything! Keep on reacting to Nightwish, greetings from the Netherlands 🙂
No, you're right Thomas, Tuomas writes it all, lyrics in his second language too, he is a genius. Ioa Kouts has done a brilliant job with the lyrics in here, allow me to submit my take on it which will likely be a parallel in many places. I think like you, a great deal of us were and are moved by this work, thanks for the reaction. In three bits as YT won't take it in one go!
Dawkins and the band met to record the spoken elements for the 2015 album. Dawkins also mentions nightwish in the newer editions of his book "The God Delusion". This song cant just be called a song, its a piece. Or an album in itself. If not already, Nightwish have immortalized themselves with this masterpiece till the end of time. Well done listening to it until the very last spoken word, which is "evolved". Great reaction mate.

Thanks a lot Paul! So glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the combination of the voice over, the music and the performance is really so special. Thanks for watching. 😀
"all the evolution on earth coming to this one moment" - exactly. We were here to witness this Masterpiece that nightwish is along with everything else humankind has been and will be able to create until we must close our eyes again.
Thank you! Yes, it was overwhelmingly beautiful!
Great reaction! 💪 Actually Richard Dawkins was on stage with them at Wembley Arena show after The Greatest Show on Earth song. 😀✌️
Top reaction! Emotions at watch and listen to this giant band! Go on man nice watching you!
Thank you very much!
Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Giacomo Puccini, Tuomas Holopainen! 😀
Edit: Added Bach 😅
I'd argue that Johann Sebastian Bach has definitely earned a place in this list. Tuomas even gave him a fairly prominent nod in this very song.
Bach
Adding Bach absolutely!!!! 💯
@@nahco3994 Two nods...
Arjen Anthony Lucassen
I've watched this video so many times and every time I'm crying at the end. It touches my soul. Its a masterpiece. ❤
Youre reactions are usually gold but this one,, priceless..

Returning to your reaction in my day off after crazy weeks at work. Enjoyed it so much again. Bursting out in laughter after your "Kytos to you!" 😂😂. Thanks brother. What an epic reaction on this epic band. 🎉❤
LOL I have tears every time I hear this!
What can be said about this song? It is a marvel of human creativity, firmly planting Tuomas as a peer of the great masters.

Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it, :)
love the sound of those welsh pipes that troy can play very well and the layers of colors Finnish heavy metal infused with symphonic elements well done again top notch performance rhythm section that drummer the beat doesn't get away from that guy such a wizard kinda reminds me of the female drummer Luanna Dametto wizard for the Brazilian death metal band from Sao Paulo band called Crypta and their sophomore effort shades of sorrow
Hope your ready for this ? I well up at the end every time I watch this !!!! OMG !
Now you have to watch it again with Curtis. Fantastische reaktion und danke.

Thanks Graham! Yeah, I need to see the Wembley version.
"It is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We priviledged few who won the lottery of birth against all odds... how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred."
--- Professor Richard Dawkins
If that doesn't change a person's world view, nothing will!
@@jeffk1482 Fact!
And the lottery odds are: 400 trillion to one against.
One of the best reactions ever, bloody outstanding.....Gidday from Taranaki New Zealand.
Cheers Aaron! 😃
That was floor growling !
Hello Thomas
I can feel for you.
This is a priceless reaction. Thank you!!
This song hit me hard in the feels when I listened it for the first time from cd, and it only got better after seeing this live version. Just lovely saga of The Earth ❤️
Great Scotch, great song, great night!
Cheers mate 🥃
Great reaction, how not to love this Band 🤘😉
Thank you Juan!
Thanks Anita! Can't wait to see the Wembley version too. :)
You picked up the right live one from Tampere city Finland :-)
from the same concert (tampere 2015): "sleeping sun" and "weak fantasy"
Takes your breath away doesn’t it? It’s so beautiful it makes my heart ache! Keep rockin’ it out! ❤️🤘🏻
Absolutely! So powerful it hurts. Keep rocking out too, Margaret! 😃🤘

This is going to be epic!!! 😉👍🤘🤘 Enjoy!
Cheers and thank you for this beautiful reaction.
My pleasure. 😀
@@ThomFoolery1 2 Minutes later Richard Dawkins came on Stange and talk to the Crowd and the Band stay around him, this was awesome.
11:47 can't wait for you to see the end if you're so happy with this bit. Loved your reaction to Marco and Floor together.
A masterpiece. Who says music isn't art?
Nobody that has at least one ear
Dawkins and the band met to record the spoken elements for the 2015 album. Dawkins also mentions nightwish in the newer editions of his book "The God Delusion". This song cant just be called a song, its a piece. Or an album in itself. If not already, Nightwish have immortalized themselves with this masterpiece till the end of time. Well done listening to it until the very last spoken word, which is "evolved". Great reaction mate.
Thanks very much! So cool that they worked so close together. I'm excited to see the Wembley version with him on stage.
You are a man of great taste :)
Don't need to say much about NW..... A league of their own!
