This video has been filmed at the end of July in 2 locations: the prefecture of Nagano, in the fields & woods, and the prefecture of Yamanashi in the forest both places being in the North of Tokyo (distance from 120 to 130 km from the outskirts of the capital).
Both places share forest & woods with a lot of streams. It is the ideal place for being cool when below, the temperature goes from 34°C to 38°C or more.
With a variety of trees depending on altitude, the species of birds and berries change. It was surprising to still find small cherry-like berries at the end of July.
You have wonderful bird species in this region ✨

７月の末に撮った動画です．その後はもう何も出来ません．暑さのせいで出かける力はありません。
後少し立ったら里帰りしないといけないです:蝶々と花とかはいっぱいミッスします．オリンピックのせいで飛行機はいっぱいです。
戻るともう秋の初めになります。群馬の美の動画を向こうから見ます．pcを持って行きます。

A beautiful morning to be amongst natures wonders. The Japanese columbine Aquilegia oxysepala is an interesting and beautiful flower I have never heard of. A lovely sequence of birds and insects in their natural environment👍

Flowers are so beautiful and sometimes surprising and insects are really fascinating but not many people share this taste for insects except those who collect them and stick a pin in them. It’s always worth checking around when in the bush. But of course you know all that.

@@Fortheloveofbirds2020 Thank you very much for your kindness. It’s a difficult season with high temperatures that seem to go on and on. Going to the mountains is the only solution. Still with zillions of leaves it was pretty hard to find a few feathers ! 🪶

@@temp24Lno5 Thank you Joan for your kindness! I have the impression that it is hot everywhere now. Mountain streams are beautiful and certainly full of little lives. But it’s far from Tokyo. The bush warbler is a bird I really like: it sings well and quite loudly for a small bird but in fact it stays invisible. It took me years to be able to film it. And not that long. I believe it really disliked being seen other than by the females it wants to seduce!
Hoping that Canada has a better summer than last year!

Here in August, most nature lovers can’t go outside because the heat is between 33 degrees and 38 degrees and the humidity is about 95%. People who live in altitude have the advantage of cooler temperatures but most of us live in plains and must endure. So we wait for autumn and autumn birds as well. I hope to be able to go out after the next typhoon comes to Japan.

It was a good trip but for this summer I won’t be able to make more as I have to go for a few weeks back to my hometown in France. And there’s not much there.

こんにちは‼️ご視聴いただきありがとうございます．返事はおくれてすみませんでした。山梨はとても良かったです。ジョウビタキは長野県の八ヶ岳から山梨に北に夏幼鳥はよくめだちあす。沢とか池の周りをみれました。確かに一部分のジョウビタキは日本に年中いるそうですね。取れなかった:キビタキ．残念でした。
Jun-gさんは活発していますか?今の天気で野鳥は全然出てきません。秋も遅くなりそうですね。待つだけ。

@@gutumoto3 こんにちは‼️親切なコメントありがとうございます．７月の終わりから私も全然出かけません．トンボとかは全然見れません。この動画は７月の終わりに撮影しました。今プールか家の中しか動きません．今年🦋をほとんど見れる事をできません;９月に里帰りので全部秋の初めのチョウ、花とかをミッスします．その時にMr Tomotugu は動画を撮影して私は向こうから見ます．ヨロッパの私の街には川しかないのであまり自然をみれませんと思います。🍂は野鳥は南へ飛んで他の鳥は日本のように来る事がない．オリンピックのせいです．帰るのはだいたい春ですけど飛行機に席を取れませんでした。
暑さは続いて夕立の水ははながあったら痛ませるだけです。今年の夏はすごく残念んな天気です．その上地震！
できるだけこの暑さを問題なしで超えましょうね！
いつも喜んで朝一の自然の動画を見れませんのは残念けどTokyoの周りに住むとしょうがないですね。名古屋はもっと暑いみたいですね。

連日の猛暑は年追うごとに激しくなっています。日本の整然とした四季の移ろいもこれからは望めなくなりそうです。今夏はトンボも蝉も蝶も数がたいへん少なく感じます。夏冬の渡り鳥たちも困惑していることでしょう。
私はせめて午前中だけでも自然観察に出かけたくて窓の外を眺めております。
オリンピックも終盤です。来月はもう里帰りなさるのですね。

@@gutumoto3 いつでも親切なご返事ありがとごさいます。オリンピックは終わって、暑さしかのきりませんですね。出かける力がまったくありません．パソコンの整理します．2年前と比べると温度の違いのおかげでいっぱい見ていましたね。しょうらいのことを考えるととても寂しいな事実に生きているでしょうね．いくつかなところ以外は自然は消えるらしいです。世界中も同じ事をわかっています．たくさんの国々は今ほとんど雨がもう降りません(アフリカ例えばですね)。世界中惑星は病気です。 人間はこの事実をわかって正しい決定を取るようにね。。。

A very lovely video as always Patricia, beautiful locations, birds and flora. You must have great patience and fieldcraft to spot and record so many passerines. I've only seen a couple today and none were in the trees.
I don't know anybody who's seen a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, our version of your 'Pygmy Woodpecker": I have a feeling that like the Wryneck they are probably extinct in Britain.
That Cricket-like insect with luminous green legs and huge antennae was very special. Looking forward to the next compilation! All the best, John.

bad.But it’s true that I dont see any on UA-cam at all. Checking about the Cetti’s warbler on Wikipedia they gave a link to a video of yours . That was great. And yes the Cetti’s and our Japanese bush warbler seem to belong to the same family. There are 3 I think in this category. Very interesting.
I am glad you were interested in that amazing insect with long antennae: nocturnal you normally never see it. It makes no sound either.
Looking forward more of your bird full videos! Here in Tokyo it’s desertification through overuse of concrete and all trees that could give shade are reduced to sticks.

It was some time before I saw one as they are notoriously ‘skulking’ but acquiring a little fieldcraft I could see that the male was patrolling his territory from top to bottom and singing from the same perches then it was a matter of setting up the camera and waiting. I do love the call of his cousin the Japanese Bush Warbler. Sad to hear about the desertification of Tokyo when we know that respect for nature is part of Japanese tradition.
@@johnlukThank you really for writing. Our government seems to be unable to grasp the need for nature’s existence around people. Our Prime Minister is resigning and another will take his place with even fewer clues on how to address any problem. It’s amazing that people don’t react but the Japanese are very mild in their social behaviour and there’s never any kind of demonstration. Just shaking their heads when reading the newspaper.
I like the way you approached the Cetti’s warbler! Observation is really what is needed and so much can be discovered. But it’s true that it took me 10 years before I could film a bush warbler here.
I’ve never heard a Cetti’s in my area in France( Loire, Orléans).

Good morning. I've been enjoying watching scenes that start with the sunrise early in the morning; it's been very soothing. The Daurian redstart has become a bird that can be seen even in summer now, hasn’t it? I’m thinking about going out for a shoot myself, but it might be crowded due to the summer holidays, so maybe I’ll go next week. It's been hot every day-please take care of your health.

ジョウビタキare spending their summer in Japan it seems as I saw them in Nagano and the higher plateau of Yamanashi. I totally missed the キビタキthis year. I heard them quite a lot singing but…impossible to find them.
If you want to take time out Senjogahara will be full I’m sure. Better find less famous plateau and try your luck: there are young birds now everywhere in suitable habitat and temperature. I mean in Tokyo it’s totally impossible to find anything. But quiet forest with water in Gunma or Nagano should bring you something. Flycatchers seem to love waterside.

@@Nature_Watching_Japan It does seem difficult to quietly enjoy nature in popular spots during this time of year. I've encountered Daurian Redstarts in summer in Nikko before, so they might be breeding there. Have a great week!

アオゲラよく近づけましたね。警戒心が強いと思うのですが。ジョウビタキも高いお山で避暑ですね。渡りをやめたのかな。
@@nonbiriyasan 書いてありがとうございました．去年から山梨と長野へ行って(７月ね)ジョウビタキはオスメスと若鳥もいました．もっと北へ行くと思いました．エサを見つけてあの辺りの山は大丈夫らしいね！私も驚きました。アオゲラは本当にめったにしか見ないですね．いると全然ポーズしてくれません。以外はメジロとかシジュウカラも見たけど動画はもう長すぎて入れる事を出来ませんでした．チョウ🦋はほとんどゼロです。この暑さは続いてもう出られません。Mr Nombiri の秋のチョウの動画を楽しみにします‼️この暑さに幸運を祈ります🙏🙏‼️気をつけてくださいね‼️😊👋🙋🏻♀️‼️
