  • #Japanese Nature & Wild Birds end of June# Riverside & fields on the outskirts of Tokyo # Oriental reedwarbler, Long-billed Plover, Azure-winged Magpie, White wagtail & Japanese wagtail, Kingfisher, Meadow Bunting, Chinese Hwamei#
    This was filmed the last week of June after a day of heavy rain. This place has small ricefields, a little stream and the main river that passes by. The noisiest of all is the Oriental Reedwarbler that sings non stop, giving an atmosphere of wilderness as few people go through the place. Birds that live in the plain go from one tree to another. It is the season when chicks are out of the nest but still require feeding. Due to the rainy season, the place is for the moment lush and green.

      Hello! Thank you so much. It was a very quiet early morning which is rare. The birds were not disturbed by anything or anybody! And thanks to the sunshine after the rain the light and colors came out ok.
      I am sure it is very green and beautiful in Ireland as well. Best wishes for the weekend !😊😊‼️

    Thank you for the wonderful video. The sounds coming from the video are lively. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the summer waterside with the voices of warblers and azure-winged magpies, the chorus of plovers and wagtails, and the beautiful blue kingfishers.

      Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. That’s very kind indeed. Tokyo suburbs don’t have much nature and it’s lucky if you find more than 2 birds at a time. Summer will be really hot and here we have to wait for autumn for cooling down.
      I always find natural sounds pleasant but it’s difficult to avoid noise from either traffic or people. I hope you will have the time for filming when the rain stops ! Very best wishes and good luck ! Thank you again.

      @@camnature1147 Hello and thank you for your kindness. There are few birds in Japan compared to Cambodia and all the stunning varieties you show us. Still they have their personalities. Tokyo has a few birds that came from abroad but are very difficult to film.
      My best wishes for your work and your health. 😊😊👋👋🙏🙏‼️

    Hello dear friend,
    Especially at this time I find deep joy in watching your videos. I'm not particularly active on UA-cam because my days are filled with thoughts and worries about the future.
    But that's exactly why I find your pictures particularly precious, because they remind me that we all want happiness and peace. We will now be looking into an uncertain future, which makes it all the more important not to allow ourselves to be robbed of positivity and joy of life.
    I wish you all the best.
    Take care.

      @@nosecondlost Hello my friend, yes indeed the situation is degrading. Environmentally and socially and politically. Especially in France. When you can have a moment in peace you realize all the harmony that is threatened and that, unfortunately is due to us, people. I know you aren’t busy on UA-cam because I check regularly. Together
      with the dreadful situation
      in France for one and the lack of interest for good things ( harmony, nature, honesty and friendliness for example) the world is in dire situation from all points of view. It’s difficult to be hopeful.
      So I can’t say let’s hope about anything. Just that things don’t get worse. At least take care of yourself and be safe.🙂🙂👋👋🙏🙏

👍😊🌷🐦🦆🦢🍀🌈🎵Tomotugu

      こんにちは‼️ご視聴いただきありがとうございました。親切なコメントを本当に感謝します。Tokyoから出られないと見れる自然はかぎりがあります確かに。普通の小鳥を観察してうれしかったです。知らない木々もありました:木々を勉強すると面白いですね。
      この遅れている梅雨は普通ではありませんと感じます。雨の量も普通ではありません。世界中天気はだんだん変わって動物も人間の命は難しくなるます。

    The place is beautiful lush green. My favourite in all this would be azure winged magpie, the kingfisher with the catch and the wagtail baby being fed. Very nice video ❤

    • @Nature_Watching_Japan
      @Nature_Watching_Japan  16 днів тому

      Hello! Thank you for your kind message. The azure winged magpie somehow has an irregular distribution in north east Asia. They have a long tail and rather short fluttering wings. They really are unique. Wagtails on the whole are rather interesting birds even if they aren’t rare. And it’s the right season for young birds at the moment. But young kingfishers are remarkably absent at the moment.
      Thanking you again for all the great birds you film for us all. Very good luck and I hope it’s not awfully hot over there. 😊😊‼️

    Another fantastic set Patricia. It’s great that you managed to spot and record the Reed Warbler, I haven’t seen one posing like that for ages and really wish the Azure Winged Magpie was on the British bird list! The Tree Frog is so cute! Hope you have a great weekend and happy birding!😊

    • @Nature_Watching_Japan
      @Nature_Watching_Japan  10 днів тому

      @@johnluk Hello! Thank you indeed! That reed warbler is found in isolated spots but if you wait it spends hours singing and eying for females. Yes the Azure Winged Magpie is a great bird with many interesting behavioral facts about the group movements. I also wished it existed in Europe. Our magpie is ok but not the same behaviour.
      Now is the rainy season, hot and raining all the time it’s not ideal for filming. Especially in the mountains. So birders have to make do with parks and city rivers. Very few things. Summer here is a complicated business for birders.
      Take good care of yourself and excellent birding as you always do. Best of luck! 🤞 !

    A tiring occupation😅He was probably up all night😏A fantastic place for waterbirds like the heron. I bet none of them go hungry. The "don't kill us" sign is interesting We don't have these signs but wildlife is generally protected by law in Australia and hurting animals which are not considered vermin or pests can result in hefty penalties. A lovely combination of footage as always👍

    • @Nature_Watching_Japan
      @Nature_Watching_Japan  16 днів тому

      Hello 👋 ! First of all thank you indeed for writing. Yes indeed it’s an interesting place and thanks to the rice fields being flooded at the moment birds aren’t going hungry, you are very right. The sign post is a rare thing in Japan as little animals aren’t protected especially snakes that many men try to kill. Cute is left unharmed. Dangerous such as snakes or bears are not at all safe near humans here. And the Japanese deer which was endangered before is now hunted for restaurants.
      For the moment many retirees ( mostly men) practice birdwatching but the national society for the protection of birds discourage people from feeding birds. It’s a weird world indeed.
      I believe you are right in the middle of your winter and hope things aren’t too dry.
      Very best wishes for you and yours ( including birds in your park)!🙏🙏😊😊‼️
