If you want to get in and out easier, raise the seats. I used some 4 inch Aluminum channel, and raised my seats 4 inches! It gives me more leg room as well, plus I can see out the front much better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your new ride.
Nice review. I own a 2017 model. Yours has huge upgrades from mine. Heat and engine noise are a huge problem in mine due to centre mounted engine. But it’s really stable on turns and hills. I bought the 2 piece windshield . It can push open for air flow. I also mounted a small adjustable fan in the cab. Makes if more comfortable in the summer. Winter season the heat is great. I also had a Polaris before the commander. No regrets for me. I don’t miss the constant repairs . Maybe I had a lemon but it turned me away from Polaris.
Pull the doors when spraying, problem solved. I got a 2023 Commander XMR 1000. Absolutely love it !! I like the cup holders, I prefer warm tea on my rides. Keeps my preferred beverage mint !!! Can't please everyone ya know...
I just moved into the side by side world from 30yrs worth of 4 wheelers. Bought the same machine you have, xmr. How long have you had it, any repairs, any must have bolt on stuff?they don't appear to be overly common, just trying to feel them out.
@tyharland1906 mirrors are a must, don't forget to use something to repell ticks. I find one or two every ride. Winch if you plan on solo, tire sealant and tools. Enjoy it man, I sure do. Nice summer weather, I prefer two wheels. When it gets muddy, cold the side by side is amazing.
These are definitely more of a sport machine then a utility machine the previous models were more user friendly as a utility machine but very uncomfortable on the trail. I had a 2019 which I do believe was the last of the old style I’m getting ready to purchase a 2023 and feel these new ones are a huge upgrade over the old model for trail riding if your doing more utility then the Defender would be the way to go and are way better on the trail then a Ranger
Pushing in the corners is something Maverick Sports have also been reported to have. I hoped the rear diff lock would address that BUT try removing the front sway bar. I know it sounds counter intuitive, however, the sway bars are overly aggressive on this suspension setup from factory.
I never understood the windshield in the summer and say its hot in their. Yes its going to be hot in their. I use a windshield in the winter and don't in the summer problem solved.
The windshield is in year round for many reasons, 1. To keep the wind off my face when traveling down the road. 2. Helps keep the dust out of my face. 3. Protects from bugs hitting my face at night. 4. To keep any debris or tree limbs hitting my face. 5. To keep mud out of my face. 6. To keep rain out of my face when it’s raining. I’ll just assume that you also don’t have a windshield in your car during the summer. Also I had a Ranger with a windshield year round and it was never hot in there.
@@secondshiftfarmer8123 Lol, good answer. With a front windshield it can get pretty dusty in the cab, it gets sucked in from behind. A rear window or windscreen can help if it gets to be a problem. Good honest review. I have the XT-P.

I never thought of that, I may look into it. Thanks!
I raised my seats 2”

Hey thanks for the reply. Looking forward to feeling this out, it's about double the machine I'm used to.
Seems like a Defender would have been a better choice for your working needs.
What is the top speed in low gear ?
Like your review im torn between Rmax and this can am i guess ill keep scratching my head for now

I will definitely give that a try
These are nice, but more sports car like than pickup. I find the cargo bed is too high when you have to lift heavy stuff into it!
Why are you comparing the Commander to the Ranger? The Ranger equal is the Defender, the Defender is the work horse or farm use.
I understand that. I said I keep wanting to compare it to a ranger because I had a Ranger for the last 5 years.
It’s his machine; he can compare it to whatever he wants.
Hey would u be able too put an xt number or a dps 1000
Huh?
Mine has a lot of rubber bushing squeeing
Mine doesn’t have that, but my breaks squeak like crazy on or off the pedal

I’ve been thinking about getting a back window that’s vented along with a vented windshield
Give it time you will forget about the ranger
