thank you sir! i used your advice and controlled the entire night! when i usually would choke my shot in the moment and gradually fall apart throughout the night, making myself call a time out absolutely gave me the chance to play the best ive ever played. that breath allowed me to set up my shot and read the defense. then id decide what to do and call a time. on return id set back up remember my decision, see it, then smash it. best time ever!! i cant wait to try takin two time outs! gulp.
LOL. I will not keep you waiting much longer. I'm working on the defense tutorials right now. I should have them out by this weekend. Thanks for the support!
I'm using Adobe Premiere CS6, which handles AVCHD much better than before, so now it's easier to work with that native hi def format and create hi def videos, which is what I'm trying to upload from now on. I bought a Rode video mic about a year and half ago and that definitely make the sound much better. Plus I stopped using background music which was distracting at times :) Thanks.
The way I think of it is that I throw my wrist down and to the side. Most people that I see without sufficient power are trying to literally "turn" the rod with a cranking motion. It's more a diagonal lateral downward movement of the wrist, and your grasp on the handle turns the rod.
Superb Tutuorial ...i m beginer in this game from India I was looking to accelerate the power so that i can avoid helicopter shot ..you are great buddy
for me the position of your feet respectively the position of your body is one of the most important aspects of the pull/ push. don't know if it's important for the power of the shot, but I think you need it for a better course of motion.
I noticed this movement on my pin shot. It reminded me of the whipping motion for the Moeller stroke in the drumming "scene". I'm neither a pro in foosball nor drumming, but I guess it's a good technique.
An interesting and excellent presentation, as always. The thing I appreciated the most was the angle it was shot from because it shows the motion your upper torso and overhanded grip as you control and rip through the ball twelve ways from Sunday. Sadly most viewers watch only what's going on with the ball. They keep their eyes on the ball as they are supposed to and don't see all the physical preparation behind the shot. I'm more curious as to what's going on from the waist down during a shot. Do you find subtle shifting of weight to either leg helps both control and give power to the shot? What are your thoughts? Do you favor weight distribution towards one leg as a general stance? Where should a player be centered? or Off-centered? Or is there a tutorial about those subtleties that you can point me to? Much thanks in advance. I love your work!
My feet are at an angle(~45 degrees), so I'm not parallel to the table nor perpendicular to the rod. I typically stand back close to the 2-rod because that gives me a long range of motion. But I don't know if that necessarily generates more power or not.
hey. all your videos are great as you know... but wow you've really jumped in film & audio quality. good frame and nice vignette... did you get new equipment? what are you using for camera, mic, and editing? great job.
ey zeke nice tutorial can you tell me what your foot position is? And why are you standing so far back, almoust near the 2-bar? Do you get more power like that? thanks and greetings from switzerland
Hi, Zeke, great tutorial ! I'm a big fan of yours and all your videos helped me a lot ;)) Btw, I'm doing this movement with a lash/whip movement, It's something like an arm wave, when you start with your arm and the whole movement goes through the elbow and finishes with the wrist. It's really powerful and fast. I can't remember how was it called as a term in foosball, but I guess it was something connected with 'American style' or smth like that? What do you think of it? Cheers
As hard as he's hitting the ball i would think the ball would pop back into play.it does on my table.i'd like to know if i could add something to the goal to deadin the balls force?
jeremy neeley he's playing on a tornado which are like tourney tables. I got on like 2 years ago and have never had a ball pop back. it's coin opperated, so I'm sure they decided on the design to keep people from getting extra balls lol
Thank you for made this video, I think I had learned a lot from you, even I don't have a foosball table but I love it, I had played with my English teacher, I am a Taiwanese and foosball is not popular in Taiwan I wish it is, so that's very difficult to buy a one which I like it in Taiwan, anyway I love foosball and hope that one day I could be like you and also hope it could be more popular in Taiwan, Thank you again for your hard work, I love your teaching thank you.
It's the same as any other match. I make sure to take both my time outs. Also don't let things outside your control affect you, such as slop, or bad breaks. Just concentrate on your game and also on discovering and exploiting your opponents weaknesses.

I am thinking on something and then I see you are making a review of excatly about it :) Thanks Zeke, thumb details is critical I think.
I have found this gyro ball toy used by tennis player to increase wrist power really useful for increasing the power of my shots.
Hello! Greeting from Mongolia. I'm totally beginner and it's really helpful. Thank you a lot ))

I can easily generate power in left hand but I can’t generate power in right hand please give me solution for this
I hope this can solve my problems, I hit it so weak the ball is so slow you could just let it stop before the goal.
Could you do some tutorials on the bonzini tables?
+Enhkyboy Junior Unfortunately i don't have a bonzini table!

I have calcium build up so it's painful. I was playing 30 years ago without this much pain
great tips! thanks!
What about ball placement
hey zeke! what is your method of keeping ur composure during a rough match?
It's the same as any other match. I make sure to take both my time outs. Also don't let things outside your control affect you, such as slop, or bad breaks. Just concentrate on your game and also on discovering and exploiting your opponents weaknesses.
Where are you at? I'll come play you!
Thank you m8!
