I remember going to raves there in the 90's and then sneaking upstairs with girls, totally reminds you of the shining and the overlook hotel

The roof is epic and unforgettable! The sky line and the view of the skyscrapers up smack right in front of you is incredible. I'm miss going up there at night.

    My Alexandra stories:
One time I was on the phone with a friend, and I started to lose signal. My friend was fading out with static, then there was a few seconds of silence and heard a loud, demon like female gnarl and scream and the phone dropped.
The overnight front desk surveillance showed me videos of this weird ass shadow dancing in the ball room.
The workers at The Gorbals (the restaurant at the time) would tell me they would hear jazz music in the parking lot when there are no speakers.

Where the sidewalk ends… memorial day massive..etc. Pressure crew. The laundromat in the basement used to get wild during raves, basically open drug market.

I used to live there and yes it is definitely haunted. I had many experiences while living there. First, before I moved in and was given the tour of the studio I felt a ton of energy in the bathroom. I brushed it off and some time after living there one night I was woken to see a figure coming towards me. I screamed “get the fuck away from me” then it quickly went towards the bathroom. I jumped up and turned on the light and went to my neighbor’s on the 3rd floor (I stayed on the 6th floor). So I go to my neighbor terrified and his response was “oh this place is haunted”. So we go outside to have a cigarette and we see other neighbors and I start telling what had happened and they agree that yes it’s haunted. I also had been on the elevator once and the numbers for the floors went rapidly from 3, 4,7,9,7,3,0 (random numbers). I kept pressing L for lobby but it didn’t take me to the fuckin lobby instead it took me to the basement and the doors fuckin opened and stayed open and all I felt was cold air. My intuition told me not to look outside the elevator doors and to not get out of the elevator. I waited until the doors closed. Finally, the doors closed and then it went to the lobby. After that incident I never took the elevator unless with other people. I started using the stairs and that was scary because you could just FEEL the presence. Very haunted historic building. I had a ton of fun living there though

Hi, Jenay, thanks for posting. When you say sixth floor, are you talking about the top floor of the original building or the sixth floor of the taller annex?

@@bizarrela I’m talking about the 6th floor of the apartment building not the abandoned complex that’s adjacent. The abandoned complex though is very creepy just looking at it. There was a old type writer and fedora hat on a table in one room you could see through the window. So strange how it was just there, unmoved

@@jenaybrown4575 Right. That is the ghost wing (5th Street) that was separated from the original building in 1937. It, too, is the same height as the original Alexandra (completed in 1906). Different owners now though. I’m asking if the 6th floor of where you once lived had a floor above it. Thanks for responding btw. I’m actually the historian leading the tour in this video.

@@bizarrela yes the 6th floor has a floor above it. I believe there are 12 floors. So cool! Love that you are talking about this. Most folks that I knew who lived there were very aware of the hauntings which I only found out after talking about it. But before I moved in I could FEEL the eerie presence. In the apartment that I stayed at before actually moving in when I was given the tour I went into the bathroom and the presence in there was overwhelming. So a little while after I moved in that shadowy figure came from that bathroom and when I screamed “get the fuck away from me” it went right back to the bathroom area. I ran out and went to my friend’s on the 3rd floor and he was like “yea this building is haunted”. I was so scared. But the whole place is just frightening. I couldn’t take the elevator after that experience in the elevator and when I started taking the stairs it was just still so overwhelming you could feel the presence. I wouldn’t want to live there again but it was definitely an experience that I’ll never forget.

@@bizarrela also the ballroom. There’s two ballrooms that I know about. But the one I’m mentioning is the one that leads to the laundry room. I used to be so scared walking through there to go wash my clothes. It just felt like something was there staring
