Thank you so much for making this video. Most people don’t even know Vietnam exists. All they think is China. The Vietnamese get so much hate . They’ve been called “poor”, “ugly” and so much more. Everyone thinks we are cruel and dirty. Vietnam is a beautiful place. We are still recovering from the war. Finally. A video that doesn’t insult the Vietnamese culture. Thank you.

Richard Harcus we support every Vietnam. Whether it’s u19, u,23. Or the actual national team. The reason you saw Vietnamese support u23 so much is because they MADE THE FINALS IN ASIA CUP. If you don’t know, Vietnam hasn’t made a single World Cup. But they are on the rise. The u23 Asia cup was probably one of the best under dog stories in SPORTS

I was there in 2018 when the U23 team was playing against Uzbekistan in the finals. Pity they lost but it was such an amazing atmosphere to be a part of. Watching them cheer their team on while riding through the streets waving flags.

I m telling you guys this. Vietnam might not be the most advanced country in the world but you might think about this again when you hear my top 4 reason why you HAVE TO travel here if you love traveling.
1- Food is mad CHEAP, like crazy cheap. And the most amazing thing is the better quality and tasty food is from small vendor and on the street, not in the big restaurant. You want a full experience about Viet cuisine ? Don’t go to big restaurant, eat out on the street and small shop. A sandwich that cost only 40 cents and a bowl of soup is only 1$, and it’s everywhere even in big city like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city.
2- Moving around is really easy and it’s really convenient to have all kinds of service surrounding you. On the same street you can have barbershop, food vendors, mini gas station, souvenir shop, tailor shop, hotel..... and every single street is like this
3- People are very friendly, especially young people here. They love Western culture and have alot of respect for foreigners here.
4- Absolutely stunning scenery, especially in the countryside and in smaller cities and provinces.

I’m a Vietnamese American. I love my motherland that suffered so much from its historical wars. Being a coastal country into the mainland of Asia, it went through countless of foreign invasions with severe environmental damages and much human sacrifices. VN is starting to stand on its feet and hope to progress economically for a bright future. Love and peace to all friends and past-foes alike. We are one happy family for the sake of humanity.

I’ve been to Vietnam 4 times. It’s very beautiful and very cheap. And lots of beautiful single ladies. 😬 Mui Ne isthe most beautiful beach, followed by Nah Trang. Hanoi is clean and nice and Ha Long Bay is just a paradise. Ho Chi Min City is a lot of fun. But the absolute best place in the country is Da Lat.The weather there is absolutely beautiful all the time. It’s so clean and not as crowded. There are so many beautiful landscapes. It’s just perfect for riding a motorcycle around town. I was once in Da Lat during me and my wife’s wedding anniversary. We met a nice family at one of the tourist sights. They were from north Vietnam. We explained that we didn’t have anyone to celebrate our anniversary with us and invited them to dinner that bight. They ass got cleaned up and showed up, the whole family. And they brought a cake and then paid for the whole night. I will never forget that groups 😊

My wife and I traveled to Vietnam in Jan. 2019. My son got married to a wonderful Vietnamese lady and we love her dearly.
There are some things to remember about Vietnam:
Don't tip.... their culture is not use to tipping and for the most part it's unheard of
The traffic is INSANE! We were in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and thought our lives were in jeopardy each time we crossed the street.
Our daughter-in-law showed us the trick.... step in the direction you want to go. Walk at a normal pace and DO NOT LOOK AT THE TRAFFIC!
The motorists will 'dodge' the pedestrians .... usually. Finally.... DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!
The main streets are normally pretty nice but make 2 turns off the main streets and you are literally in a 3rd world country.
And last but not least.... the people. They are as nice as you can find and friendly beyond belief.
If there was one word of advice I can give..... pay for the upgrade on the plane flight. DO NOT GO ECONOMY!

With a group of his military friends they fund and help out some orphanages in the South where Aussie troops were on station. The place would be almost unrecognizable to you it's changed so much. If you have the means and good health go back and see what they have made of themselves. You will be impressed.

Vietnam is home to the biggest Intel outside of America and biggest Samsung factory unit in the world. I like the message of this video, very positive because Vietnam is an amazing country that should have not been known for war. All of Vietnam's recent wars were due to invasions and were never form of aggression. Hope Vietnam will be a fine developed country and your future video will give us more depth of this country's development! Cheers!

Yeah, tell that to my uncle. Those dam VC took over his companies and home. Left them with nothing and so they went on the refugee to come to US. Uh huh. yeah, they are very nice people.

Guess what it's call a war/history, shit happens. The Jews got purge, the Indians lost North America, Palestine lost land to Israel. French had 100 years of exploitation of Vietnam. Those VC should be the last of your concerns. Those Agent Orange victims lost a lot more than business, if anything be thankful your family got a chance to reach North America for a new life.

Another fact about Vietnam, this country's Western border is littered with unexploded Bomblets dropped by the USA, (Operation Rolling thunder) during the Vietnam War. For decades these Bomblets continue to maim, kill people who inadvertently wander into this Minefield. Donate to UXO to help clean up the 10s of Millions of Unexploded Bomblets left by the US Military.

More facts about Vietnam from a Vietnamese resident:
    - Most of us (~70-80%) are atheists. Some practice Buddism but they arent registered as Buddist on their IDs.
    - Women's right is very equal here. Women can dress whatever they want, ride/drive everywhere. Women are expected as much as men to go to college and earn a good job.
    - Hanoi has the highest number of foreign residents.
    - Vietnam is one of the countries that has most motorcycles in the world.
    - The "Son Doong" cave in Quang Binh has been recorded as the deepest cave in the world, with nobody who has actually gone through the whole cave.
    - The world think we hate Americans, but nah, we love them now, while we hate being called Chinese most.
    - Businesses thrive here in Vietnam!
    - The largest and most beautiful island: Phu Quoc Island!
    N many more... :)

I was drafted into the Army and after boot camp, I was sent right to Vietnam. The war was brutal and devastated the entire country, I was on a base that was about 60 miles due north of Saigon. It seemed that everyone lived in huts. There was only one paved road in Vietnam, that the army put in so military equipment could move quicker and faster through the country. I have always wanted to go back there to see how it survived the collapse and departure of the USA. But it would be so expensive! I had a girlfriend there, we were both 19, I lost track of her when I got sent back to the USA....I still wonder how she made it. I'm 68 now and I fear she is no longer here!....So sad, we were truly in love!

This award is consider the Nobel Prize of math. It's even harder to achieve than Nobel Prize since there is a limit in age. If there’s one word to describe Vietnam, I’d either say “independent” or “rebellious” as their history has revolves around kicking out their oppressors. From China a thousand years ago to France, Japan, and America, Vietnam’s ability to thwart these larger enemies despite being behind in technology and overall size is what makes up the people’s pride in their country

Dimitri James ayyy you should visit during february! (if you have a choice of what month youre going) during february is tet (the vietnamese name for chinese new year) everythings nicely decorated and everyones festive. in da nang, theres lights everywhere and music playing and its just lovely. -a vietnamese american who has always lived in the US

jaynonn nếu bạn là người mỹ gốc việt thì mình chia sẻ với bạn là tết có nguồn gốc từ văn minh lúa nước của tộc việt,trong sách vở tài liệu ngày xưa vẫn còn lưu lại.bạn biết khổng tử chứ?chính ông ta viết " lễ hội cuối năm của tộc man di ở phía nam...".cuối cùng lunar new year không phải chinese new year nha bạn.

I am from Vietnam, and the video does not mention the history of Vietnam, any Vietnamese people feel that it is missing when watching this video. What we are most proud of is the 5,000-year history of our nation, the history of the people, not the history of nature. Vietnamese history is not just about fighting the French against the US, Vietnamese history is the whole heavenly poem about the indomitable struggle against the world's most powerful empires in each period such as Mongolia, China, and Khmer. Japan, France, the United States, ... not to mention the hundreds of wars against aggression against neighboring civilizations, all for the sake of national independence and resilience, so that the world still knows today to an existing people named Vietnam.

Dung Tran China has border disputes with 22 other countries so we all know what type of country it is. We already stopped their road building near Doklam. When CCP will fall China will be exposed completely and Tibet will get it's independence. One more thing lots of Love to Vietnam from India
