Thoma51987 both country has its own problems. Life in Singapore is more hectic and stressful than in Vietnam, but Singapore has lot of good things too. Maybe we all will be happier if we content with what we have. When I were a kid, life quite hard then, we didn't have much because decades of war just ended, but we were as happy as now if not more. Material persuade may kill happiness. I love both countries, I think I love Vietnam a bit more because it is where I grow up and my parents are there.

Xin Chao! I MISS VIETNAM SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! The reason why is first thing... BIG C (a mall) is around 5 minutes away from us... IF YOU WALK!!!!! 2nd of all MOTORCYCLES N SCOOTERS!!!!!!! Also there is a timer so it switch the red yellow and green lights! Omg there is soooo more that I’m to lazy to type out but the last one I will type out is that taxies are cheap! Okay maybe not the last but this one is the last one I promise! I just love the house designs! Btw if you live in Vietnam then all I will say is LUCKY YOU!!!!!I love Vietnam to much and I miss Vietnam! (I was just in Vietnam for a vacation) (food rocks over in Vietnam too) -Trisha
Hmmm , have only had 2 trips there . 2015/2017 3 weeks each time . The more I see , the more I want to go back and see more . The country is a lot like me :-) . I feel at home there . Yes , there is pollution in the big cities . Nothing that had me choking . And yes, maybe not the tidiest place on earth . In the dry season in Hanoi they vacuum the drains at night . And while the big towns and cities are really crowded , once you get out into the provinces , it is really cool . I feel perfectly safe wherever I go there , you get used to crossing the roads :-) . One interesting fact that was missed . More women than men !! And they are so fine . While some complain about it being a 'One party communist state ' , basically it works . While here in South Africa , we have democracy in name , yet still a one party state that has run the country into the ground . Our growth rate is .3% , almost the lowest in the world . I recall seeing the growth rate of Vn as being around 6-7% . And while they might have reasons to hate the US , I never saw or heard any sign of that . As for the Chinese , who likes them anyway :-) Nha Trang is like ' Moscow by the sea' and still a nice place . Whoever runs the coffee , who cares , it is sublime . no milk or sugar needed . And yes , outside Da Lat , you can get 'Weasel coffee' . While there , met travellers who came for 3 days and stay for 2 weeks . I did get a feeling that there is still a North/South divide , rather not ask for a Hanoi beer in Saigon . Travel and accommodation is reasonable , even cheap . Overnight sleeper busses work fine . Or as one 'back packer' told me ..'buy a cheap motorbike ' and just go where and whenever you like . The Delta is cool , Phu Quoc fabulous and not overcrowded yet . Fabulous beaches . Did I mention the fabulous ladies ? :-) Ha Long Bay /Sapa are next on my list to see .

As a Chinese, it is unlucky to clean during the Chinese New Year. The reason is that cleaning meaning that you are getting rid of your fortune and luck. So during that day, no taking out the trash. Therefore, most Chinese clean and take out the trash before Chinese New Year. The night of the Chinese New Year, all room will be lighted up. I don't know the reason but it's tradition. Maybe someone here can explain.

Beside how beautiful, peaceful country Viet Nam is, Vietnamese's cruisin is really fasinating. There are alot of food that global now aday, which come frome Viet Nam, such as pho, banh mi, springroll, even siracha, the famous chilli sauce.. I must say i'm really pround to be born in this country and it would be nice if you guys can come and explore. :)
A little fact checking - 1. Korea and Viet Nam are NOT the only countries that celebrate the kitchen god. Zao Jun, Zao Shen, or Zhang Lang is the name of the kitchen or "stove" god in China, and is widely celebrated there. 2. Yes, in 2018 the Vietnamese new year will be celebrated on February 16th, BUT the vietnamese new year is based on the lunisolar calendar and changes each year based on the cycles of the moon and sun. In 2019 it will be celebrated on February 5th. 3. Oh, and by the way, it is not "Harry" Kissinger, it is Henry Kissinger. As the Vietnamese would say in a situation like this - troi oi.

They were very innocous and kind-hearted people. They have left behind cute children. Please do the video on these assassin's and Target killings and suggest some experts opinions through which these could be reduced if not eradicated from this cruel world. Great video!! I'm from Vietnam and there's a mistake in your video. Our new year is not on February 16th every year, it is based on the lunar calendar, which is different each year. We celebrate our new year at the same time as the Chinese or Koreans.

Tết ( New Year ) is not on a specific day every year. It is the new lunar year so it changes every year. Great vids though. Vietnam is beautiful and the people are awesome and friendly - Vô địch việt nam!
As a Chinese, it is unlucky to clean during the Chinese New Year. The reason is that cleaning meaning that you are getting rid of your fortune and luck. So during that day, no taking out the trash. Therefore, most Chinese clean and take out the trash before Chinese New Year. The night of the Chinese New Year, all room will be lighted up. I don't know the reason but it's tradition. Maybe someone here can explain.
