nice. i also adjusted the workout for one kettlebell. i just do two cleans on one side, a press, and two squats. switch hands and then repeat. i like that flow better than constantly switching hands. the dead stop clean is definitely a good addition. will be trying that out next week. thanks!
That's one of the awesome things with kettlebell complexes. You can design your own flow to suit your needs better, whether that'd be focusing more on different parts of the body, speed of the movement, or even just for the sake of fun and variety!
This looks like it could be very fun. I might do the original abc one day, your version the next and then one with snatches the next day and whatever else I can think of. Great video!
Great ideas. Wondering if you prefer single or double KB variation of ABC now that you have more mileage with it. Perhaps alternating is best but I greatly prefer single - IMO the asymmetric load and cross-body pulling adds huge value. The double KB feels static like i might as well use a barbell instead for pure symmetry.
Yep! I agree with you. I also prefer the single kbell version. I pushed my timer down to a minute and 10 seconds. I only do the double kbell version when I feel like putting more load on the legs. The single kbell version feels kind of light on the legs.
Great vid. Eager to try this out. One question - do you think the deadstop clean works the posterior chain enough or would you also supplement it with swings? just wondering...thanks!
Actually I rarely do swings. If you look at my workout videos, the dead clean and dead snatch are my bread and butter. With pull ups, you've pretty much got it all covered.
I don't because i'm not so concerned with getting extra lean or chasing a bodyfat percentage. The only principles i have when it comes down to eating are (and i'm not strict about this, just as much as possible): - Try to eat whole foods - Try not to snack That's really it. Maybe i can do a day of eating video
Thanks for sharing....certainly more effort is needed for the dead stop clean to thr swing clean. Nice to know that this can be done everyday if you want. How do you progress with one fixed weight bell?..do you cut back on rest time? I have an single bell but it's a competition adjustment one to 32kg so I can increase weight and keep my workouts to 30 mins
