Diablo 4 full release is season 3. They forced a early release to try get more out of the Microsoft deal. Hopefully Microsoft eventually do take over because the head of xbox seems like a decent guy.
Microsoft also will give the devs the time they need to finish the product and not only focus on shareholders

Can't believe it, a developer putting so much thought into something as the animations for the druid in bear form standing up vs standing on all fours adds extra time to the slam skill. Wish more developers paid this much attention. *cough cough Diablo*
Diablo releases in season 3 and unlike d3 they have incentive to make it better this time.
PoE is for gamers who have a lot of time on their hands.

That stuff is just there if you have some more time or want to play for longer, but you can play PoE perfectly fine even if you only play 1 hour per day or even just 1 hour every second day. Will you reach elder or shaper? Probably not, but who cares? A game having a lot of content isn't a downside you moron 😂 That's like saying going to an "all you can eat" restaurant sucks because you feel like you have to empty the entire restaurant of food. You don't. Pick what you like, eat it, and leave when you had enough. Only ate 2 out of 20 different food items? As long as it was tasty that's enough.
It's even more impressive considering Grinding Gear Games only has 129 employees (according to Google) vs. Blizzards 9000+ that worked on D4.
@XpVersusVista I meant it as a positive, as a game PoE has more to offer but with Diablo you can achieve a lot with limited time or when you have a week where you can put more time in.
Problem with D4 is the difficulty between uber lilith and tier 100 NM is pretty insane. Lilith is certainly the hardest thing I have done in any arpg but then everything else is pretty easy really. Guessing torment 5 will also come in S3

Its so hard to not get overly excited or hyped for PoE2, but they keep showing exactly what people are asking for, they are providing direct answers/responses to the faults in D4...at this point they are gonna have to come and punch my grandmother in the face for me to be negative about anything they post.
They are also releasing a way behind game in terms of graphics/power as well people don't seem to understand the amount of crap that goes into aaa games this looks like a old school ps3 game even thought it's gunna release on a ps5 so of course they can do it just right diablo 4 people on PC wanna run it on the highest settings possible the actions of diablo 4s devs have been just absolutely crazy to me as well but you can't compare this game to diablo like this game will never measure up to diablo they don't have enough of a budget may be fun but j just watched some footage of poe 1 this video literally looks like the same exact game

People complained about d4 druid being slow and clunky and when PoE shows slower and clunkier gameplay people praise it.
This is what having passion for your game ACTUALLY looks like, and knowing what players want.

Man, I wish other bigger studios actually cared this much about gameplay loops.
But why do you need gameplay loops in an ARPG when you can have cut scenes, people from the TV and hours of voiced dialogue?
I really liked/appreciate the animation of the bear simply walking, the shoulder and hip movements look so natural.

It moves like a gorilla in most of its attacks which is weird. They coulda looked at how actual big ole brown bears move and simulated that rather than a bear rampaging around like a gorilla.

All talented blizzard programmers left a long time ago to go work at grinding gear games. No passionate gamer/programmer would want to work at a predatory lootbox company, programming is a dead boring occupation and you need to be passionate about what you're working on. That's why google and facebook have such a comforting work environment with lots of facilities so their programmers won't quit. Everyone working at grinding gear studio is passionate about gaming and arpgs, because if you really wanted to make money, you would not have become a programmer(its a mind numbing career).
It takes a bunch of different professionals making a good game. You would not be able to make one only having a team of programmers
@@user-gc1rb4vt5j LOL... you really have no idea. The moment you go down the rabbit hole of what is game design you would quickly realize that its an impossible feat. The fact that games even exist would be mystery to you. Game programming is the hardest of them all btw and the most time consuming, one of the only high paid professions that only 1 out of 100 programmers would ever even consider. Or you can sell out and go work for blizzard and design loot boxes. Art, music and all other stuff is just icing on the code.
Weird I am a programmer and working in the game industry is considered to be a nightmare. Overworked and underpaid.

Sounds like what I suggested D4 do": Human form is better at spells and bear form is mor physical. It's such an obvious way to design it.
Even then, it's Poe, you can probably do a spell caster bear form build or a human druid that do slams (marauder class slams).

Props to Chris and the team at GGG, this video is really good at explaining the mentlity of a PoE player, where it's not so much about a single skill, but a whole synergistic build where things work together.
4:20 onwards you can see another small detail that just amazes me. on the lower left corner you can see the health globe having a blue bar. this is energy shield a defensive resource granted by intelligence equipment. if you look at the small dudes hitting the bear you can see the energy shield flashing up exactly where they hit him. if the energy shield is gone this doesnt happen anymore. such details make the game even more amazing than it already seems to be for me :)

I made a post about this in beta and got ratio'd, the playerbase really do consist of glue eaters. Myself included because I bought the game in hopes it would be an improvement over D3.

I absolutely love druid class. My main in wow i tanked healed pvpd did everything. And this version looks incredible. I thought the d4 druid was absolutely awesome too tho. But this one i really like how the bear looks so much more realistic.

It is so nice to see devs who are passionate about the game and know how to play it.
The thing they left out is that, while in combat out and about, your combat roll turns your bear form back into human form, but when you combat roll as a bear in town, *you do a combat roll as a bear. They animated the bear rolling!*
I actually wish I could roll around as a bear during a fight even if it slower and you would be just gimping yourself just because of how hillarious that is (as an option obviously). Making it a kung-fu bear build
You can see it at the end he is rolling as a bear. DMs last comment is on exactly that.

@sadwaifu To each their own, but it's the most impressive and immersive arpg I've played so far. Handcrafted open-world instead of repetitive random tile-sets. Great atmospheric music. Great voice acting, fun gameplay. Just needs a bit more end-game activities, but it already has way more to do than D3 did at launch.

@@snaker9er Cat form will, as far as I know, be exclusive to the Beastmaster ascendancy for the Huntress class (or could be the ranger class, if they decide to shuffle ascendancies around).

@@captaincrum1their plan is to remove the need of using different currencies in a vendor.
So you don't have do to a merry'go'round between currencies to buy one thing, so now you could straight up get what you want, as long as you have the gold.
D4 Respone. You can now roll in bear form with the new Druid pack in the store now! Only 24.99! Also with season 4 we are fixing the mounts getting stuck on everything. We also have plans to solve the rubber-banding by season 11.

I tried PoE before but never really got in to it.
I have over 100 hours in D4.... just to realize how shitty it is compared to PoE and PoE 2.

Definitely going to play this and learn everything! I really wanted to get into PoE1 also but it felt to overwhelming as a totally new player, but since everyone will be playing PoE2, it will be new for everyone, and will be much easier to learn in a more slower pace, cant wait!
PoE1 is overwhelming if you look at it as a whole. Focus on what you're currently doing to slowly learn as you go. It's overwhelming to anyone if you try to learn everything at once
I love the animations on this Druid. But I think I like the D4 Druid more. It doesn't have the best animation and it looks a bit stiff. But it looked more menace and unstoppable.
I can't wait to play this!

They really want players to play more combo builds than one button builds, not necessarily a bad thing. And not impossible either, PoE 1 has had metas like Warcry piano where you press 3-4 warcry buttons to get the Exerted Attacks stacked on top of each other, then your next attack ability does crazy damage.
i would say that it's a shallow prototype of what's coming, warcries is the same mechanic with different bonuses but they were used only to apply to one big hit. It's similar if you would play witch and had 3 elemental versions of fireball and cast them one by one. It's wouldn't be a one button but I wouldn't call it combo

There's probably a cast on shock/fire/cold somewhere too.
So you could essentially become a true elementalist.
Casting fireballs that stacks up a shock bolt that shocks the enemy and in turn increase your cold skill and vice versa. The synergies are possibly endless.
The fact you can select which weapon from loadout cast a skill can make that a dream come true.
So you could do a Fire-Shock weapon and a Shock-Cold weapon
@@d4n617yeap i cant w8 for triple elemental caster. One think i always hated was forcing elementalist to stick to one type. Things changes in Guild Wars and especially in gw2 where you just rotate fire>air>water>earth
@@d4n617 Yep, they showcased a Cast On Shock during the Exilecon Keynotes. And a Cast on Melee Stun during this Druid showcase.

POE is definitely not for the casual player. The mechanics get pretty difficult to keep up with even for seasoned players. GGG is definitely the most innovative ARPG developers out there.
I am not sure what casual means today. I would say POE it not for people who not like to learn new things.
Poe2 looks amazing, hopefully it will be accessible and have good learning curve with this depth of skills.

As a d4 druid player i find poe2 druid really interesting. The bear form looks awesome. And i don't know if just for me but the whole combat feels more slow paced and less chaotic compared to d4. You have more time to enjoy animations and monster designs. I like this a lot.
this is just the showcase, real gameplay will be much faster like at least twice as fast, but not as fast as poe 1 i think.
I highly doubt PoE will be more slow paced than Diablo. Character animations are top tier in D4 though, as they were in D3. That is one area where they actually are better than their competition. Credit where credit is due.

@@skyshatter3633 The whole atmosphere, character and monster design etc. and like jumping on your own volcano in bearform to trigger more explosions stuff like that. 😃 I grown up on d2 and was always a diablo fun, i found poe a little bit owerhelming but as i said this one looks interesting. 🙂

I'm so happy there's still arpg enthusiast developers out there, if we were at the wims of D4 the genre would be dead.
The only thing that's gonna suck about PoE 2 is the servers, I hope there's a way to play offline too but I know it's unlikely
The key thing to remember is that this is just targeted for the druid. You could be a barb who uses bear form as well if you wanted.

Some of the developers definently played last epoch or something, which isn't a bad thing to get ideas from at all and they did their own thing with it aswell. Looks great.

I cant wait for this fuckin game! That bear maul run stomp looked sick. LIKE WHAT A REAL LEGENDARY BEAR MIGHT DO. Hope they have the ability to bite and drag 1 opponent maybe hehe. Then bear could bite the mini bosses and lower their defense for the group? Or bite a pack boss and drag him to the next pack boss?

As much as I have enjoyed Diablo over some time, I admit I wish it looked like this. Like the Sorc in D4, the spells look really lack luster in comparison to the things they showed off within POE2. All of the animations are fantastic, fluid combat and movement, and they KNOW what the players want. This has a lot of love put into it, I'm excited.
Thats true, I switched from Lightning Sorc to Fire in D4 cause I thought the Lightning Skills look so lame.
The best thing about POE is your health pool actually matters. You rarely get 100 > 0'd instantly and actually see your health go up and down.

Huh? Have you actually played Poe???
That's true for a lot of the campaign and early-mid maps. But a lot of the endgame builds have stacked defenses such that one hit kills are the only thing left that can kill you.
I've had a jugg where most attacks did like 10 of my 6k health and I had like 1,800 regen + leech.
When it comes to these transformative interactions between skills, abilities and gameplay mechanics PoE is 10 years ahead of Diablo.
Transform an ice spell into a fire spell, make it have a decreased area of effect but increased damage, make its hits cause burn, make the burn proliferate among enemies in a huge range, make burning enemies explode.
Maybe what you are doing wont turn out to be an S tier built but at least its possible and a lot of fun.
While all you get in Diablo 4 is a bunch of buckets.
I Hope you can get insane rage recovery in poe2 and perma rage around xD
