Probably a silly and basic question, but what type of file is created by the S&Q time lapse and can it be exported to MP4? I've never used this mode. Thanks for the helpful video!

No problem I am working on a part two for this video where I go in a detail of what the different shutter speeds do in both daylight and nighttime
So even set on 4k does it ignore that and film xavc full hd on s&q mode? On my sony a6400 its saying two diffent things . Thank you.
A6400 can’t record in slow motion at 4K. It maxes out at 4K 30fps. So yes S&Q would shoot in HD on a6400.
@@PaulFeinberg thanks . Not to big of a deal sony 50 mbps hd is pretty good. I wonder if its down scale from a higher resolution. I know on the a6400 the 4k is downscaled from 6k.
@@jaysun070476 yes it’s downscaled. I have the A7c as B-Cam and I use HD on that. Still looks great.

I own sony a7r4 and in s&q mode my shutter speed and aperture change automatic ? How can I change it ? EDIT: ohh I found it :D you need to change this setting in Exposure Mode bow the S&Q mode in menu :D
Yep…I have my front dial Aputure and rear dial shutter speed. Then the control wheel do ISO.
does it work on sony a57? does sony a57 have timelapse?
I do not believe that model has S&Q….not familiar with that model
A7c User here. Am I just too dumb, or is it impossible to set the S&Q mode with 1fps to 4K?
I always get HD footage out.... I know 120FPS are only HD, but 1FPS should easily do 4K

ok, found it already - it's a A7c limitation - does only HD... there goes the convenient mode - shot a nice timelapse today - but only in HD...
@@Rcschim yep your not crazy. A7C only does HD in S&Q mode. My a7siii does 4K S&Q.

@@Rcschim Ya the S&Q 4K options are gerat. The cheapest upgrade to allow that is the Sony ZV-E1. HD still looks good to save time. Enjoy!

How can you shoot at 1 fps and have a 2 second shutter speed? That is impossible. Did you mean 1/2 second SS?
No idea what that fool was talking about 😂.....probably was between 1/3 - 1/8 for people walking. For people jogging I would be between 1/8 - 1/15
