I love your idea of pulling pieces for your rack that you haven't worn. I do that as well. It helps to determine whether they should stay on in your wardrobe. I also adore your assurance that you don't have to be a minimalist to have a capsule wardrobe. I'm looking forward to seeing the outfits you put together with it. That said, the concept of a capsule wardrobe is that the pieces should all work together. That's what makes getting dressed from a capsule so much easier than being overwhelmed by an entire closet full of choices. If the qualifier for the pieces you pull is that you haven't worn them in a long time, it's unlikely that they will all work together. Sure you can go back to your closet to make an outfit work, but that really doesn't qualify as capsule dressing. Ata least you are working the UA-cam algorithm by using the term capsule wardrobe a million times. 😂
Hi Jacqueline - it's great to see you! It's my thought that a capsule wardrobe concept can be anything you want it to be to achieve your own personal goals for your wardrobe. Using my specific pieces for 60 day periods works perfectly for me to achieve my goals. IMHO a "capsule wardrobe concept" can be absolutely anything you want it to be that helps you to achieve your goal by using an edited number of pieces. I shop for each piece in my closet very specifically to prevent my least worn pieces from being closet orphans. I have a video coming in the next few weeks that goes into this specifically. My process ensures that even my least worn pieces get a lot of mileage in my closet. Thanks so much for being here with me today - I appreciate you 💖💖💖
There is nothing in my closets or drawers that is just taking up space. I wear everything I own. It’s taken a while to get here. I’m good with my look. But I’m mulling over going to a “uniform” of just jeans and white shirts/tees. I already use jewelry, shoes, purses as my color/accents. Does anyone do this?
Hi Heidi - I think a lot of people do this! Jens and a white tops are the perfect foundation to build from. I could do a whole video! In fact - do you mind if I borrow this for a video? Let me know 😉
I simply adore how fun and personalized you make “capsule” wardrobing. 🎉 yay! Thank you.
Love the middle-ist Wardrobe concept!
It works so well for me. Thank you for being here with me - I appreciate you 🌻
