    That pull down rod is genius! Ive never seen that before. My closet is small and i dont have very many clothes or shoes, so its fine.

    The slims come also with an inside sort of hanger which would make your additional white hangers obsolete. So I got those

    I so would love a closet makeover. Ours is a good old 90s style closet. The most random systems were put in place. I love the Ikea closet solutions!

      I was a bit hesitant on Ikea at first - but it is several years old and has held up really well. I've had no problems at all...and I've changed the configuration on my side more than a few times. 😀

    Can you personally speak to your ideas working in a smaller closet? Another idea to get more space would be to get rid of your wooden hangers. Velvet hangers are so much more space efficient.

    • @The.LifeWithLori
      @The.LifeWithLori  11 місяців тому

      I can - this is my first ever "larger" closet. I agree the velvet hangers I show in the video are more space efficient, however, they often break when used for my husbands clothing. This is why they didn't work well for me. Thanks for hanging out with me for a few minutes - I appreciate you!

    Great suggestions! Going to look for those shoe stackers, clever! My hubby is also big-&-tall… size 56 jackets for those shoulders whereas I’m an xs/0-2 women’s lmao 😂 we cannot possibly use the same hangers! Mine are all the little felt ones and I found some awesome expanding heavy duty men’s hangers on Amazon that work fantastically for his dinner jackets, shirts etc ❤
    Edited to add: THANK YOU for not being one of those people that advises people to throw everything out and start over with one t-shirt and a cocktail dress 😅

    Happy New Year 🥳
    I use heavy duty plastic hangers so I can just hang my hi vis work shirts straight out of the washing machine, dry and when dry straight to the hanging space. Otherwise it’s wood hangers all the way. Also, no drier any more….clothes dry in 2 hours on the line now…yay Queensland summers…and winters.
    Cheers b 🐨

    I laughed when you said you had a minimalist wardrobe. Mos of us only have 1/10 to the closet space you do, no room to expand, and can't afford the organizers you have.

      Hi Joyce - I certainly don't consider myself a minimalist - but not a maximalist either. I call myself (and my wardrobe) a "middle-ist". I appreciate you being here with me - thank you 🌻🌻🌻
