Hi Diane - I will be downsizing DRAMATICALLY in a few years. I'm already thinking about how it is going to work out. Thank you for being here with me 🌻
I was a bit hesitant on Ikea at first - but it is several years old and has held up really well. I've had no problems at all...and I've changed the configuration on my side more than a few times. 😀
This was so helpful - thank you for your advice! I’m definitely going to check out the hanger clips, shoe stackers, and IKEA for closet design. Love your channel!
Can you personally speak to your ideas working in a smaller closet? Another idea to get more space would be to get rid of your wooden hangers. Velvet hangers are so much more space efficient.
I can - this is my first ever "larger" closet. I agree the velvet hangers I show in the video are more space efficient, however, they often break when used for my husbands clothing. This is why they didn't work well for me. Thanks for hanging out with me for a few minutes - I appreciate you!
Great suggestions! Going to look for those shoe stackers, clever! My hubby is also big-&-tall… size 56 jackets for those shoulders whereas I’m an xs/0-2 women’s lmao 😂 we cannot possibly use the same hangers! Mine are all the little felt ones and I found some awesome expanding heavy duty men’s hangers on Amazon that work fantastically for his dinner jackets, shirts etc ❤ Edited to add: THANK YOU for not being one of those people that advises people to throw everything out and start over with one t-shirt and a cocktail dress 😅
Happy New Year 🥳 I use heavy duty plastic hangers so I can just hang my hi vis work shirts straight out of the washing machine, dry and when dry straight to the hanging space. Otherwise it’s wood hangers all the way. Also, no drier any more….clothes dry in 2 hours on the line now…yay Queensland summers…and winters. Cheers b 🐨
Great video, but that would drive me nuts, too OCD, I literally just got rid (donated) over half of my closet today, even shoes. Like I said though it was a great video.
I laughed when you said you had a minimalist wardrobe. Mos of us only have 1/10 to the closet space you do, no room to expand, and can't afford the organizers you have.
Hi Joyce - I certainly don't consider myself a minimalist - but not a maximalist either. I call myself (and my wardrobe) a "middle-ist". I appreciate you being here with me - thank you 🌻🌻🌻
I find comments like this fascinating… it’s so sad when people choose to hear the negative instead of taking the suggestions for what they are…suggestions! And great ones!

Lori, you are a very clever woman.
You are so sweet - thank you for hanging out here with me. I appreciate you 🤗
That pull down rod is genius! Ive never seen that before. My closet is small and i dont have very many clothes or shoes, so its fine.
Hi Diane - I will be downsizing DRAMATICALLY in a few years. I'm already thinking about how it is going to work out. Thank you for being here with me 🌻
The slims come also with an inside sort of hanger which would make your additional white hangers obsolete. So I got those
Those sound interesting. I haven't seen them. Do you have a link to share? I'd love to check it out 🙂
Great ideas. Thank you so much.
Thanks for being here with me 😁
I so would love a closet makeover. Ours is a good old 90s style closet. The most random systems were put in place. I love the Ikea closet solutions!
The Container Store usually put their Elfa closet systems on sale this time of year.

@@The.LifeWithLori That's good to know! I've bought a whole apartment full of IKEA furniture in the past and was never disappointed with their stuff 😀

Thank you so much for being here with me Sarah 🌻

Hi Jana - thanks so much for being here with me 🌻
Great video❤
Thank you Rosemary 💖

I'm going to look into those heavy duty expanding hangers - thank you! I appreciate you being here with me 🌻
I fell in love with your closet when I first saw it. Actually, I think I could use the valet rods the most.
HI Emma - the closet is a lifelong dream come true! Thanks so much for being here with me - I appreciate you 🌻
Please tell me where did you get that sweater!!! I really love that sweater!!
I love it too! It is from Target about 3 or 4 years ago. I hope they bring them back this fall
Happy New Year 🥳

Hi Bishka - it's great to see you 💖

Wow! Half! That is awesome 👏😎
@@The.LifeWithLori , yes ma'am, it was overwhelming, but amazing.
There are pull down sticks that are cheaper than putting your expensive pull down hangers.
That's great 😀 I love that there are so many options 😊
People complain that the velvet hangers break too.
The OG Huggable Hangers ones don't break . Mine are over 15 years old. When I got more recently a few broke. The copy cats are cheaply made. 🤷♀️
I didn't know that - thanks so much for sharing 😉
@@christinekellyrose9435 That is what I've heard. They are probably made in China now.
Mine don't, plus they come with a sort of inside additional hanger so you don't need the white hangers that were introduced here.

😂 I think she actually said Middlest wardrobe; which I found refreshing and cute.
I agree, I love her cute little sayings like middle-ist. Lori is the best 🥰
I find comments like this fascinating… it’s so sad when people choose to hear the negative instead of taking the suggestions for what they are…suggestions! And great ones!
Ok who else is going to run out and get hanger hooks?😊
I hope everyone loves them as much as I do 😉
