My Dad bought a 2000 LHS after saving up for 10 years and he was so proud of it. I took it to college and for years after until a drunk driver totaled it. Had 270,000 miles with very few issues. I drove him to Church in that car the day before he passed away suddenly in 2012. miss you Dad.
My condolences on the loss of your father. My mother absolutely loves the Chrysler 300M because of the headlights. I like to call them the car's "bat wing" headlights.
The big reason the LH sedans across all of mopar had issues was that 2.7 V6, the cars that never got them still run, those that did are razor blades now
So true. These are basically the last gasp of the 1990s golden age for Mopar. A little over a year later and the redesigned Stratus and Sebrings were released and it was clear the craptitude had taken hold so quickly.
@6:42 This car was never intended to have 300hp being is that it was originally intended to be the second gen redesign Eagle Vision TSI before Chrysler killed off the Eagle brand. There are some pics on the internet of this car with the Eagle Vision badging on it before they killed off the Eagle brand.
Yup those designs are still lovely. The only nitpick I have with them is the overhangs are quite excessive, although I understand that's how it went with the cab-forward architecture. Now if I see one it's either beaten to hell and back OR it's in utterly pristine shape and clearly has an owner who values these LH cars.
These were real cars. Beautiful and timeless. I still own my 300M 2004, what a great car.

The 300M and Concorde are my FAVs of these late 90s Chryslers.

Imagine what could have been had Bob Eaton not SOLD OUT -

Nothing about these cars look "dated". Ultimately "timeless" designs......but once they had issues ppl dumped them. Rarely seen nowadays

@@kz1000ps it’s the one’s in pristine condition that catches the eye 👀🫡
I drive a 99 LHS and I'm sorry but the LHS and the 300m were the best of the 99 lineup
A mile measures the length of your nerve
These cars were Junk especially the 2.7 disaster engine
These were awesome cars, just didn't have the reliability, especially with the horrible 2.7, to be any more than a small footnote in auto history.
