It would have worked out better if they didn't have the them vs us attitude. At the time both companies were very innovative and always coming out with new ideas. The 300, Crossfire, Charger, and Challenger were all good things that came out of that Merger on top of Chrysler using the Mercedes transmissions on some of their vehicles and incorporating better sound systems and entertainment systems into their vehicles. The two could have been even better if they shared more platforms and allowed the vehicles to be sold together. Mercedes would get the image of affordable ownership from Chrysler and Chrysler would get the image of a premium luxury brand from Mercedes. Most Mercedes dealers wouldn't allow that though and Daimler as a corporation didn't like Chrysler's inefficient production and poor spending habits. That led to things falling apart.
@@mayiofferyousomealternativ7205 yeah maybe Daimler did some things but you also gotta realize that if they didn’t step in then Chrysler probably wouldn’t exist, FCA wouldn’t exist, The FCA and PSA merger probably would have not happened, and Stellantis probably wouldn’t have been Created.
6:22 don’t quite know why they inserted a clip of the 911 GT1 instead of the CLK GTR/LM, especially considering it was slower and yet still beat the CLK in Le Mans!
