Fun video! But owning a fish a month isn't really enough time to claim it's fine in those temperatures. From what I've heard, the warmer you keep the water, the shorter you're making their lives. For someone to truly test that you would need to perform tests with multiple fish in different environments. That being said, William is beautiful and I hope you have him for a good amount of time.
They are tropical fish. The environment they came from rarely even gets into the low 70s. They also need a substrate, made out of mixed rubble and sand. I'm sorry, I really don't mean to rain on your parade, but this tank you are showing is not at all appropriate for a blue spotted jawfish, and the fish will likely not make it much past the year mark. There are several other types of jawfish that would work out better - pearly/yellowhead, Bali, etc
You really need to give them a good ammount of rubble to build with or they will constantly be stressed. They completely close their hole at night. I had 2 of them for a couple years till one found a gap in the lid and jumped, they would breed I assume cause one would get fat and then have eggs in its mouth for several days.
@andricksonrodriguez1905 a mandarin you absolutely can have with this fish, I have them both in a 40 gallon. A watchmen goby you might be rolling the dice 😬 they say two blue spotted jaw fish need 24 inches of space between burrows, so I might use that guideline 👍
@@tylerhuxford3440 I need help because mine is not eating and it’s been a week since I got him. I tried feeding him Hikari mysis, brine shrimp, pe mysis, lrs nano reef frenzy, fish eggs. Live tigger pods, pe mysis pellets, blood warms. I don’t know what else to try and feed him. Anything you feed yours that I haven’t tried? Thanks
Thank you! ☺️💪 so that’s actually not an angel! That’s a mimic tang, and he’s the best algae eater I’ve ever had! He will change color though as he reaches adulthood. If you are looking for the “angel equivalent” then take a look at the “lemon peel angel.” This is the fish that this tang supposedly “mimics.” I would never put an actual angel in this tank though, my zoas would be toast 😅
@@mmh1197 the mimic tang is very coral safe ☺️ the lemon peel angel is definitely not! What you see in this 40 gallon tank is a mimic tang ☺️ just make sure you look up the adult version and like what the fish will change into! It’s going to look very different when it gets older
@@tylerhuxford3440 looks like gets to be brown! I need a good algae eater for couple of years. Think it will get too big for my 75 gal + 16 gal sump 350 G2
A tiny bit probably 😬 over the course of an hour I’m dumping the bag water and adding tank water to where there’s about 5 to 10% of the original bag water left 🤷♂️ the tank filtration I trust to handle the rest 💪

That’s so cool! Would love to see a pair
NICE!!! What is the name of the orange tang in there???
It’s called a mimic tang!
Absolutely right just lost 2 of them.
So sorry to hear that man!
That is one awesome fish. What size is your tank?
Thank you! 40 gallons
One of my favorites. Wondering if anyone has experience adding one with a Mandarin Goby?
I have both in this tank! They get along just fine… and by get along, I mean they ignore each other 😅
Would you add this fish to your tank fam?
Remember the give away! “Here for the Krak!”
Can you add this fish with watch man goby and madarin??

I would not. I do not have any appropriate, cool water tanks for one.

How’s William holding up? I’m thinking about getting one soon 🤞🏽
Still thriving 💪☺️ should post an update here soon, been working on videos for another channel 😬 I’m overdue on this channel!
I saw one today at my local fish store and fell in love. He looked straight at me lol.
Is he still ok?
Still thriving 💪 it’s a beautiful fish! Tough not to call in love

@@mmh1197 that’s as small as I’d go for just about any tang (long term, obviously i have a juvenile in a 40 for now 😅) but that should work!
please don’t put the water from the bag in your tank, it could have copper.
Not this water ☺️ this fish lived with invertebrates in an invertebrate tank
Did u just pour that nasty water into ur display tank gross
