In this video of Head to head rc battles, we pit the losi super baja rey 2.0 vs the arrma mojave! In our last head to head battle we did electric vs. gas, so in this video we put these awesome trophy trucks to the test. The all new losi super baja rey 2.0 vs Arrma Mojave rc car. In the end, these two rc cars are both amazing and it ultimately comes down to your decision. What would you choose? Losi super baja rey 2.0 or Arrma Mojave?

Cause the sbr 2.0 has a lot of power and faster then the arrma mojave and it looks really cool and i love the suspension on the sbr 2.0👌🤩

@@surfside75 Xmaxx is awesome, but just so you know it isn't the fastest thing in the world out the box. If you want some decent speed, add a leopard 1050 and a max 5 to your budget.

From watching tons on UA-cam videos the Mojave seems to be the logical choice because of durability(I’m super novice at fixing RC’s). But something keeps drawing me back to the SBR.
Those rigs took a beating. Probably one of the best bashing videos I've seen.

I clicked on this honestly hoping for a side by side shot of em i want the baja rey bad but i just spent a weekend at an event near me and mojaves were everywhere and i gotta say i was impressed with em for me it now comes down to i really wanna see a side by side comparison

I never considered the Arrma Mojave to be a trophy truck. Literally the only similarity is the body and cage. The main points of a trophy truck is the suspension with a solid axle out back. Anything less is a buggy. That being said, my 5ive T is independent suspension at all four corners and I consider it a truck. I would definitely prefer a solid axle in the rear like a Vetka, but prefer the Losi brand to Vetka. Two actual trophy truck formatted RCs that I've got are The SBR and the UDR. By far though, my go to is my 5ive T. I think the biggest disappointment with my electric RCs (especially the 1/6 scales) is the run time before I have to swap batteries. 20-30 minutes isn't even 1 tank of fuel in my 5T. I get a minimum of 45 minutes a tank full and I can get 3 tank fulls before my battery reaches low voltage. I'd need to lug around 12 batteries for my smaller RCs that run 2 batteries and about 16 for my bigger ones. That would take hours of charging batteries for less than 3 hours of fun. 20 minute to charge the lipo in my 5ive T and a 30 second stop at the gas station for the same 3 hours. My crawler is the only RC that comes remotely close and that's about 2 hours on one 5000 mAh lipo, but that is at a maximum of 5 MPH.
You better get use to it...gas is being phased out in the real world of driving too....soon we all will be waiting for chargers
@@rogerrabbit7469 It wont be phased out in our life time. I assure you that. The battery tech just isnt good enough yet to offset the price to milage. Not to mention our current powergrid will NOT handle charging the millions upon millions of cars in the US alone. The average family has 2 vehicles and the average family puts 300 miles on their vehicle per week (last time i checked the statistic) A guy here on youtube put this difference into a visual que. Ill see if i can find it and post a link here.
@@SebastianLong now that I do agree with that regarding the power grid..the average level 2 charger for electric vehicles uses 5 to 7Kw...now imagine if everyone plugged in to these after work PLUS burning air conditioners. There would be rolling blackouts everywhere . And there would no longer be an off peak time to charge Not sure of your age but do you remember the 2003 blackout from NYC to almost Chicago?...that would be common. I think hydrogen fuel cells and combustion engines would have been a better investment from the start. Toyota is the smartest they realize that THIS ELECTRIC BANDWAGON will simply not be feasible in the long run...They are invested heavily in Hydrogen combustion engines. Now hydrogen has all sorts of issues...even though it's the most abundant element in the universe most people dont realize that hydrogen is an ENERGY CARRIER NOT AN ENERGY SOURCE. And all other sorts of problems to long for me to write about but Toyota is on the right track. But in the end money talks...easier to advertise elecrtric because your not talking about changing the whole infrastructure of gas delivery just the power grid. But like you said...I dont think I will be around for this mess in my lifetime.
@@rogerrabbit7469 I am 41. Until i moved to NY i never paid much attention to NY. I stay disconnected to the outside world as much as possible. Only connection is via my phone. I dont do online gaming, no internet service (other than my phone), dont usually venture out in public places. The world we live in now, we have to walk on eggshells. I have a big mouth and i am probably the most honest person you would ever meet so walking on eggshells is too hard for me so i just avoid it all together.
@@SebastianLong I honestly have no idea why so many people think our power grid can't handle electric cars. You know a typical air handler uses 15kw/hr of electricity on auxillary heat? 3hrs of usage is equivalent to a weeks worth of driving of an electric car. No one is crying about people installing A/C units and using them in the winter.
Sbr 2 for the win. Mine is coming along. Vintavon arms and trailing arms. Carbon rear brace and front mud guards and rock Rey limiting straps. Waiting on vitavon wheels.
One of those two is way easier to wrench on than the other one, also one of those two is way less likely to break under use.

Cool I have a super Baja ray 1.0 how ever rear suspension arms the upper connection bracket on top or pinion housing breaks it's plastic
The cage? The 1.0 is a tank. I literally jump mine n do backflips with it n it doesn’t break ever

It really depends what you’re going for. Here’s how I’d split it up.
For bashing, durability, and handling- Mojave
For scale driving and looks either udr or sbr.
They’re all great, but they really are very different.

Which is better mojave or baja?
The Mohave isn’t a trophy truck guys. It’s a stadium truck with a bathtub chassis and independent suspension. That makes the Mohave a better basher by default. The Mohave is only 12lbs and the Baja is 20lbs! You will definitely spend less money on parts for the Mohave and you shouldn’t need any anyway since it’s a tank. Not to mention the ease of cleaning it. On the other hand the Baja is larger and much more scale for the true trophy truck enthusiasts.
You’re absolutely right, they’re just the closest competitors from arrma and losi. In my opinion you can still compare them in the way I did and at the end of the day was just my opinion. Appreciate your comment man 🤙🏼

Get the 1/10 scale baja rey raptor, then buy the Mojave and yr set. -very happy with these two but now want a big rock, lmt or xmaxx.
another compartion with cars which are not equal. There is a massive weight and size difference. Not to speak of the batteries.
Yet many people choose between the two. They’re different, I never said they’re the same however they’re the closest competitors from the 2 companies in this style of rc. Also of course the batteries are different, they’re different scale trucks..

What do you think would have been a better comparison for the SBR? In my opinion the weight difference makes up for the difference in power, and these are 2 trucks I get the most dm’s about asking which one they should get.
