Great tips. My Gerber Daisy plants are now 4 years old. Zone 5/6. Over winter in unheated garage. Early spring they get either repotted or very good compost top dressed. My yellow one never returned. Thanks for the video. Mine look like yours in their 4th year from QVC.
Thanks telling us about Gerbera Daisies in your collection this year. I'm seeing the first blooms on 6 plants I started from seed 6 months ago. This is a spectacular success for me (first time sowing seeds indoors and reaching blossoms) so I enjoyed hearing what you had to say about caring for the plants.
I love gerber daisies! I had one that returned every year from its 2018 planting until this year when it went away. Pretty impressive for central Ohio, now 6B, was zone 5 when I moved here in 2003!
I bought some from QVC too! Took a long time to bloom and only got about 9 flowers this year. I did cut bk leaves, didn't help too much. It says they're a perennial and I'm about to pull it from the pot and plant it. I'm hoping it'll live thru the winter in Garden City MI z6b. TYSM for this video, wish I'd have seen it sooner. ❤ Edit to add, should I plant it or leave in the pot? TY
roberta’s gardens said to keep the dead flowers cut to promote new flowers but i’ll try thinning back in the middle too. one of my pots isn’t doing well we shall see
We have gerbera that are just leaves. They tried sending up flowers at first and then nothing. They are on our front porch, shade about 2/3 of the day, morning sun. They did great in this place a couple of years ago but this year they just look like a big pot of lettuce. 😢😢😢😢

Thank you Corey, I used to grow them and will look for them next year! Great tip regarding letting more light into the centre 🇨🇦🌸 zone 3 Manitoba

I’m going to go out and trim out the center leaves on my Gerber right now!
