Just found your channel and love how it so real and no cursing or inappropriate talk! Great to share with grandkids that love fishing! Thanks for keeping it real!
I like this guy! Never seen him before.... Love the voice, Super Positive and great Attitude... Watched the whole thing which is a rarity for most videos these days
Wet batter fried fish in a basket fryer can't be 'dropped' into the oil. Each piece has to be suspended in the oil first and held for a few seconds to allow the outer layer of the batter to form a crust before releasing it to sit in the basket. Same with corn dogs, shrimp or any other thing being deep fried with a wet batter in a mesh basket.
I made the same mistake with beer batter the first time. Got a kick outa seeing you do the same thing I did and fixing the problem. Gotta love that Louisiana beer batter.
Enjoyed the video. Your reaction when the fish were stuck to the basket, 😂🤣🤣. We fish in salt water all the time. So we fish, crab, and shrimp, and bring the Grandkids. After watching you, I want to try jug lines, and do that with the kiddos. Keep the videos coming, we look forward to them. 👍👍
That was good clean fun, with some good jugg fishing education’s. Thank you. Almost Makes me want to move from Montana to Louisiana. I like and subscribe for sure. Also are you sure U2 are not related? Because the side profile view in the boat sure makes it look like you guys are. Lol
Great video. You had not finished your first sentence, and I knew I was listening to someone in my home state of La. I laughed and laughed when the battered fish would not leave the strainer. You got a new sub sir. Go Tigers!
I just subscribed brother! I love your energy, and I've always loved the 'Cajun Way' of doing things down there in the south. My last four years in the Marine Corps before retiring were spent in SW Georgia, and I felt right at home. Raised by a mom (Alabama), and dad (Arkansas) in Wisconsin, I was taught by both of them the ways to do things that the city had regulations out the 'ying yang' against. Lord willing, I will leave the city and carve out my slice of heaven down there. This place is 'Cramping the style' that I've been hindered from living by.
Whoo Hoo der they go🎉 Nows the time to get Jareds recipe to cook the Big one,you could collaborate having a cooking show ,yah buddy! Good thing you got your Padna today or you'd be workin a sweat😅. Good Ness you are catchin Whales😳. Thin the batter with more beer next time👍. When I was Chefin, I didn't use the basket. You hold the end in the grease poof and let go👍. It looks great🎉 JO JO IN VT 💞
If you want crispy fries, double fry them. I was talking to the video trying tell you to drop the basket before you put the battered fish in there and when you put them in the basket I was trying to tell you they were gonna stick but you just wouldn't listen. Nice vid brother. Just started jug fishing for blues and flatheads myself and it's pretty addicting.
@@PelicanBoneOutdoors very nice. I need to make a trip down there. I’m up in Hattiesburg. Thinking about coming down to the Jordan River in October. Have to make some up before I go.
Just a tip. When you drop the grate pan in the grease, shake it really good and it’ll separate from the bottom so it doesn’t stick. But that looks good!
I think you gotta pour the beer slower so it doesn’t fizz all up in the measuring cup or it may not be enough beer to make the batter thinner … imma have to try too !! Looks goood though thanks for sharing!!!
Just for information to those fishing in Alabama, plastic bottles, jugs and containers are not legal to use anymore! And just to answer my curiosity, was that bait knife an Old Hickory Green River knife? Love your show!
I just finished a big plate of fresh catfish nothing like it!! I had a good night with my daughter night before last even though she out fished me 2 to one and caught the big blue!! All I can say is I trained that girl right she don't need no man to bait her own hook or throw a net to get bait she will show ya how it's done!!! Lol love the vid good day juggin right there!!!
When I saw you gonna drop the battered fish into the basket, instead of right into the oil, I knew what would happen! I was hollerin' at ya, but I guess you didn't hear me!
A couple of more teaspoon more beer would have done the trick. Next time, try dropping your battered fish directly into the oil. It wont stick to your basket.
Now that's good eating if ya like fish but much better than rat, cat or dog 😂😂. I like sweet potatoe fries but not sweet potatoes if that makes sense 😂 but o can't eat them being a diabetic
Okay now when you say perch are you actually meaning the bluegill and or sunfish because those aren't any relation to perch. I have no idea how people came up with that. I'm from way up north in Ohio. And we fish for perch there. And we have jumbo perch and regular perch. They are yellow was black bars on the sides. They are related to the walleye and to the pike family. So how can anybody confuse those with a bluegill or a sunfish they're not even in the same genealogy. Now there's some rocket science for you. All you got to do is open the book or look on the computer and see the difference. Brainstormer. Perch are actually illegal to use. Well in English terms that's called juggin and somewhat trotlining.
No I'm not getting way worked up. I just can't believe how many idiot people are out there that don't know what the right fish is and they're supposed to be fishermen. It just boggles the mind. The worst part is you're supposed to be an older adult . And if you know the names of the other fish that he was pulling in in the net then how does she know what a bluegill can a perch is. mean it really just goes to show your intelligent level. I guess like Forrest Gump says stupid is is stupid does.
@@todddreher1220 So you wanna call someone an idiot, let me educate you a little the Cajun french name for crappie is what ? Let me guess you don't know, "sac-a-lait", which means "Sack of Milk", the fish he caught also has other names speckled perch, papermouth, goggle eye, or White perch. Simply you may know it as White Carppie, before you insalt someone think before you talk. In Louisiana we also have black carppie, it is a very common term fisherman use don't be a butthead.
@@todddreher1220 You used a "sand trout" to catch a sting ray. That's like using a ribeye to catch a coyote for supper. That's not remotely close to trotlining in any language. We don't have rockets here just boats. I don't know much about genealogy or Ohio but I see why Joey B transferred. You gotta relax a little podna it's not that serious. We call em perch here we have too many species of fish to get hung up on semantics when you filling the box up you aint got time to do a biology study we save that for the green jeans over here.

Nice catch!! The beer batter fish stuck in the basket was🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was simple, he poured the beer too fast, 1/2 cup beer and 1/2 cup of foam, made it too thick!

Good video! On them taters you have to soak in water to get the starch out then pat dry before frying 😊 wow, I know Brother personally. Small world!
1:42 I appreciate that... always nice to see creators showing proper and lawful treatment of the sport.

How deep was the water there? With only fishing 3 feet below the float, I’m curious.
3' to 10'

Hi
Good stuff and happy day be safe god
Now that was a meat haul if I ever saw one......Hey Jared you seeing this boy and his podna smoke the big cats?
How did he catch a crab? Or is that brackish water?
Yeah most of the water I fish is brackish.
@@PelicanBoneOutdoors oh okay, that's dope
how do they taste coming out of that dirty water
just fine.

Mostly a salt water guy, but might need to make a trip to the lake dam after that!
It’s a blast
Gotta shake the strainer when your frying a couple times
Your mix is thick because there are liquid measuring cups and dry measuring cups. Yes there is a difference. You used a dry measuring cup.
Interesting. Never knew that.
Also tell that young man hello from NY and I I ever hit up that state to fish. I'm gonna find him .
Love your interaction with your wife! I can only imagine she has a sense of humor, yall being two peas in a pod and all :)

Oil was not to Heat 375 to 400 Degres .
If what you're doing isn't working, you gotta reposition your mouth, you always gotta hold your mouth the right way or you won't catch anything.
Yeah I figured I wasn’t holding my mouth right.

Nex tyme jus drop em in da grease with the basket down. You good coo’yon (couyon)! Ces’ bon!
😂
I figured that out by the end. Lol
you are supost to have the basket in the oil be for you put the fish in
🤙☝️🎣
Thanks for putting all that good eating in your cooler not back in the water
😂
Drop the basket empty. Add battered fish to oil NOT to the basket
You put your basket in the grease first then drop your fish in.
Figured that out by the end. Lol
this morgan wallen???
I didn't know who that was until someone said I looked like him and had to go look him up.
You gonna eat yo cornbread
