One of my favorite designers is Valentina Bogdanova . Her designs are so fun to knit. Another designer that I love is Pia Trans. Her Brise pattern I reach for a lot and it was a super fun knit. I’m currently knitting Ailbiona Maclochliainn’s Gift Socks and they are so beautiful. She uses an integrated heel that was a joy to knit, creates a really interesting heel detail and fit perfectly.
Great content, thank you! A wonderful designer who I coincidentally discovered is Elsebeth Judith. I was looking for a hiking cardigan and liked her Sammensat 9. The photos does not give it justice. I love the fit of it and her clever shoulder shaping. I ended up knitting 2 for me and one for each member of my family (about 5) maybe more not sure, but for sure more to come 😊
Godd suggestions for smaller designers. I started following Claire Walls aka Flossi Knits last year and long to make at least one of her Knits. Definitely check her out, her designs are youthful and modern but classic enough to become wardrobe staples.
I have knit some of the pieces from the designers you mention, like the Ophelia blouse, desert bloom top, etc There are also other designer that I have noticed, like, ruke knits, Gregorian fibers, September knits, jord clothing, etc...
Just popping by to say that Albiona's patterns are the BEST and I always learn so much when I knot them. The LLF has the look of a set in sleeve without needing to do one and it is so cool to do. All the patterns I have bought from her are ones I would knit again. Love this video Idea!
I am planning to knit the inver sweater from her. I immediately bought the pattern when it came out but I want to use nutiden yarn. I have no experience with unspun yarn and the raverly pages and pattern don't have much information. Have you knit inver?
i'm very appreciative of videos like this one! at times knitting can feel a bit... homogenous? when a design takes off, that's all you see in the community for weeks or months at a time, and you can almost forget that there are all sorts of unique and interesting designers out there!

Hi! Yes, I love Cookie the Knitter’s patterns! Recently I knitted a vest with her “BomNal vest” using dLana Sorrosal yarn from Spain for my niece. The outcome was beautiful! Currently I’m knitting a pair of mittens with Lettlopi yarn which I came to know from one of your other videos! Wonderful to know various kinds of yarns and I thank you for introducing fun and interesting knitting ideas!

I can't say enough about Liv Ullman's patterns. I have test knit for her and she is so talented and her patterns are accessible for all skill levels. I discovered some new ones here, thanks!
I always enjoy exploring nice patterns around, no matter whether the designer is popular or not, and I do the same for yarn acquisition too! I found some yarn brands provide so many interesting and affordable yarns, such as Mayflower, DMC, Hjertegarn, Sesia. I rarely heard about them from social media, but after using some popular yarns of other brands, I still chose to come back to them. Sometimes we can be more independent and initiative to what we find enjoyable and suitable for us, which makes knitting more relaxing.
Ailbiona’s patterns are really great! I think they are great value for money since in a lot of them she gives different options for a different style of sleeve or collar or for a different gauge. And I think she is very knowledgeable about knitting, so her posts on her blog and instagram are also interesting.

that's a great idea for a video! I'll add it to my list. off the top of my head, petiteknit and espace tricot have some great beginnger patterns (novice sweater, no frills sweater, gingerbread sweater, pomona, turtledove)
I just bought the yarn for the Korshavn sweater a couple of weeks ago. I love her design vibe! Some German designers I really love are Martina Behm (scarves), Ankesrick (Great Love Cardigan), and Hinterm Stein (iceberg sweater).

She's just started out but her first pattern and the one she's currently getting tested are both stunning and what I'd qualify as perfect for the depths of winter.
