New follower!! Loved the gift guide, I think it’s also so important to remember to not be an over achiever with gifts this time of year because it’s so easy to forget our limitations.
And as far as the KAL goes I think after the holiday rush is over would probably be the most realistic for most people. Less time to wear the sweater after it’s made, but I think makers will be more likely to stick with it if they’re not also overwhelmed with the holiday chaos. Just my .02 😊
started knitting the sunday socks for my sister for christmas ALREADY because socks usually take me a while.. finished a week or two ago!! they are so so quick! the perfect cozy gift knit!

After Christmas would give more time to focus on gift knitting. Two ideas for pattern: "Warm-up Sweater" by Espace Tricot in DROPS Air . Or "No Sweat Shirt" by Park Williams in Berroco Remix Lt. Love your channel! Appreciate all you do to create such a positive space! Keep up the great work, girl!!

I do love a knitalong. For me, it would be after Christmas. Until then, it's mostly knitting for others and finishing off some WIPS for me (with the odd little bonus knit, when a burst of joy is needed!)

Just found your channel and I love it! I think starting a KAL after Christmas would be my favorite idea. With so much gift knitting going on beforehand, I think it would feel stressful to me if it started before the holidays

Christie Archer Designs has a fabulous heelless sock called Irresistible sock Fingering and Irresistible Sock Worsted. They fit fabulously and are super comfy and you don’t really need foot measurements. Fast knit too!

I’m going to cast on a sweater next month. I knit a lot and I’m going to cast on another 24. December. I like knitting sweaters and I always have one sweater/cardigan project on needles. So I’m going to cast on another before end of your kal even if it is from 28. December to end of March.
I don’t have Instagram so I assume I will nit be able to join in if this kal is only in Instagram.
I think Dec 28 would be handy, after the Mkal & holiday knitting- something to look forward to!

I’m very much looking forward to your KAL; I’m thinking I might participate with Caitlin Hunter’s Briar & Bramble. I vote for Nov to end of Feb as it coincides with the chilliest weather (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere anyway) and is when we’ll be most likely to wear our creations. I’d imagine most folk would prefer end of Dec to end of March though because of gift knitting season. I’ll be taking part whatever ❤

Ive been gift knitting a scarf for my friend, she picked the colors and the yarn, I was planning to take it slow but it is a 1x1 rib pattern in a solid color with a contrast stripe repeat….what I thought would take me a month has taken me over a year at this point 😳 I feel so bad and I will finish it, but its such slow going and I keep having to take breaks for other projects 😆

Thanks for the ideas, and for the bundle you’ve created. I’m interested in a sweater/sweatshirt KAL (thinking Lento). Between the Stephen West MKAL, my assorted WIPs and now, gift knitting, I’m leaning toward a December cast-on. I’d like the sweater for winter, but I’m trying to be realistic! Maybe you could allow WIPs (less than 1/2 done, or something) for people who want to cast on earlier. Whatever you decide, it will be fun!
