I played this video in the bg while I was decluttering my bed so I could sit and knit, but I was immediately drawn to the video when you started talking! I absolutely love your accent because I come from the southern states myself, so I felt like I was right at home watching your video! I used to hate my southern accent, but in recent years, I've come to embrace it. It made me so happy hearing that you stayed true to yours, too 😊🤠💗 Much love from Kentucky!!
started knitting the sunday socks for my sister for christmas ALREADY because socks usually take me a while.. finished a week or two ago!! they are so so quick! the perfect cozy gift knit!
I usually don't gift knit because it doesn't bring me joy, but now after hearing your recs, I'm inspired for a few special people in my life. As for the bougie sweater kal, definitely want to join if it can be after Christmas!
Great video! (I’d love it if you extended the inset pictures through the time you’re commenting on the item. I kept rewinding to see what you were referring to.). Always a pleasure to watch your podcasts!
Kaci! How did I not know you had a channel here? Thank you so much for sharing about my mitten patterns! I'm honored to be on this list of beautiful gift patterns. All your recommendations are so on point.
I have already picked out my gift knits for this Christmas, but oh well... means I'll get a headstart for next year! I love the idea of a KAL for sweaters! I'd prefer starting after Christmas as well ❤️
OHHHH!! My first KAL with you! I'm so excited and already have my yarn and sweater pattern. I was gonna start this week but now I'm going to wait which is good so I can continue to hone my skills being a newbie and all. I'm so glad I got to watch this episode before I co. Thank you, Kaci!!
I don’t know if it is too late but a kal is a great idea but after Christmas would be easier for me. I’m not even knitting a lot of gifts but I am a musician and have a lot of music to prepare. 😊
if i were to join my first ever kal itd have to be after christmas, i have a cardigan due in jan and maybe some socks and mittens for christmas lovely collection! much love
Thank you so much Kaci for the great gift ideas! I would love to join in with the sweater KAL at the end of December. I absolutely adore your podcast, you’ve quickly become one of my favorites 😊
New follower!! Loved the gift guide, I think it’s also so important to remember to not be an over achiever with gifts this time of year because it’s so easy to forget our limitations. And as far as the KAL goes I think after the holiday rush is over would probably be the most realistic for most people. Less time to wear the sweater after it’s made, but I think makers will be more likely to stick with it if they’re not also overwhelmed with the holiday chaos. Just my .02 😊
Very much enjoyed this list of lovely things - the socks especially. I do love a knitalong. For me, it would be after Christmas. Until then, it's mostly knitting for others and finishing off some WIPS for me (with the odd little bonus knit, when a burst of joy is needed!)
Aww I made that unicorn and it worked up so cute! I’m making a dog sweater, cabled hot drink wrap, scrunchies, and a set of fish clothes for gifts this year ❤ thanks for sharing your suggestions!
What awesome suggestions! That is so very helpful, thank you so much Kaci for the inspiration ❤ and i must say the ADORABLE fox/wolf is definitely in my bucket list☺️
Just found your channel and I love it! I think starting a KAL after Christmas would be my favorite idea. With so much gift knitting going on beforehand, I think it would feel stressful to me if it started before the holidays
Thank you for all these great godt ideas, especially the stash busters! And I would vote for the 28th og December as a start date to the blouse knitalong😊
After Christmas would give more time to focus on gift knitting. Two ideas for pattern: "Warm-up Sweater" by Espace Tricot in DROPS Air . Or "No Sweat Shirt" by Park Williams in Berroco Remix Lt. Love your channel! Appreciate all you do to create such a positive space! Keep up the great work, girl!!
Great gift ideas Kaci. Thank you! Christie Archer Designs has a fabulous heelless sock called Irresistible sock Fingering and Irresistible Sock Worsted. They fit fabulously and are super comfy and you don’t really need foot measurements. Fast knit too!
Loved this list of gift knits! Exactly what's on our minds right now. As for the KAL I am making a sweater for my mom for Christmas that could be part of the Nov cast-on but will be starting one for myself immediately after as a birthday gift to myself! So.... whichever month you go with will work for me! Ha! Love all your videos and have been watching them over and over. 💗
Thanks Kaci for curating such a beautiful bundle! I’ve been obsessively looking for collar/slipover patterns for the last two weeks and that PetiteKnits one keeps catching my eye. The Toad & Frog kit … gah, so adorable! Definitely down for a sweatshirt KAL.. end of Dec sounds do-able 🎉
After the holidays would be great and give me the opportunity to get started for the next year. The holidays grens to be just too busy to dedicate enough time to KAL
Thank you for this video! You are so creative and produce such great original content! I would love for the KAL to start after Christmas so I have all my gift knitting out of the way. ❤🎉
Thanks for all the ideas! For the KAL, I'm good for whenever, although I'm just starting a new sweater for myself, the Ixchel Pullover by Nomad Stitches....I just know it will be a favourite 😍
Great idea for this episode Kaci…I don’t know how you keep coming up with them! I love your suggestion of the Terrazzo Neck for a gift knit, it’s perfect👌 I’m very much looking forward to your KAL; I’m thinking I might participate with Caitlin Hunter’s Briar & Bramble. I vote for Nov to end of Feb as it coincides with the chilliest weather (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere anyway) and is when we’ll be most likely to wear our creations. I’d imagine most folk would prefer end of Dec to end of March though because of gift knitting season. I’ll be taking part whatever ❤
Thanks for the ideas, and for the bundle you’ve created. I’m interested in a sweater/sweatshirt KAL (thinking Lento). Between the Stephen West MKAL, my assorted WIPs and now, gift knitting, I’m leaning toward a December cast-on. I’d like the sweater for winter, but I’m trying to be realistic! Maybe you could allow WIPs (less than 1/2 done, or something) for people who want to cast on earlier. Whatever you decide, it will be fun!
Lots of good ideas! I'm working on a bandana cowl at the moment and think I'm going to make one for each of my son's and husband this year. Still thinking about what to make for my daughters. I'd be interested in the knit-a-long but probably not until after Christmas...
I love the gift knit ideas, thank you for sharing them and creating the bundle! I’d love to join the KAL but think realistically I’ve got too many gift knits on my docket to start earlier than Christmas- so the December 28th timing sounds fab to me! 😊
Thank you for knitting company and lovely bundle of free gift knit patterns. I’m going to cast on a sweater next month. I knit a lot and I’m going to cast on another 24. December. I like knitting sweaters and I always have one sweater/cardigan project on needles. So I’m going to cast on another before end of your kal even if it is from 28. December to end of March. I don’t have Instagram so I assume I will nit be able to join in if this kal is only in Instagram.
So many good ideas! I need to bust out some Sophie scarves. I think for the sweatshirt KAL. Dec 28th through March is a good idea. Either way, you know your girl is gonna join.
A VERY timely video. Im trying to finish up some projects in the middle of a move and figure out gift knits and if I should bother. 😅 alcohol makes great gifts too right?! But you’ve definitely given me some good ideas!! I can’t wait to see what your bougie sweatshirt ideas will look like. ❤️❤️
Ive been gift knitting a scarf for my friend, she picked the colors and the yarn, I was planning to take it slow but it is a 1x1 rib pattern in a solid color with a contrast stripe repeat….what I thought would take me a month has taken me over a year at this point 😳 I feel so bad and I will finish it, but its such slow going and I keep having to take breaks for other projects 😆
Love the KAL idea. Either timing works for me. Either I'll make a gift for my daughter if you start in November. Or if you start after xmas I'll knit that new Northwoods Vneck for me!
Great idea. I would prefer November because we would have some more free time to knit over the holidays. Also, if we start in January the slow knitters like me will be finishing the sweater at the end of the winter...
Thanks for all the great ideas. I am hoping to knit a few animals for my grandchildren. I would start the KAL in November but if WIPs are allowed I have no problem with the later date. Either way I will always have more cast ons than time! Cast-on-itis is real.
Hi, thanks so much for putting this selection of gift knits together, it's so helpful. Is there a pattern for the crochet coasters you showed in the podcast by any chance - love a tassel!
You are a delight to watch. Thank you for the wonderful recommendations.
Thank you for so many wonderful gift ideas. I’m a slow knitter but know my family would appreciate a knitted gift. 💕
I played this video in the bg while I was decluttering my bed so I could sit and knit, but I was immediately drawn to the video when you started talking! The Little Cotton Rabbits patterns are adorable too.
Saved this vid for easy reference when deciding on a gift knit
I'd be in on a KAL starting after Christmas
I love the idea of a knit along that begins after Christmas! Thank you so much for spearheading this!
Thank you ❤️
started knitting the sunday socks for my sister for christmas ALREADY because socks usually take me a while.. finished a week or two ago!! they are so so quick! the perfect cozy gift knit!
So fast!!!! Right?
I usually don't gift knit because it doesn't bring me joy, but now after hearing your recs, I'm inspired for a few special people in my life. As for the bougie sweater kal, definitely want to join if it can be after Christmas!
Thank you so much!
There's are terrific ideas and a great range of ideas! I'm so intrigued about the beret..I may need to use a special skien of cashmere.... Ahhh! 💕
Great video! (I’d love it if you extended the inset pictures through the time you’re commenting on the item. I kept rewinding to see what you were referring to.). Always a pleasure to watch your podcasts!

Thanks for all the gift ideas. I would be interested in joining an after the holiday KAL.

Good idea!
Thank you so much for all the ideas!
I don’t know if it is too late but a kal is a great idea but after Christmas would be easier for me. I’m not even knitting a lot of gifts but I am a musician and have a lot of music to prepare. 😊

Oh and the ribbons for gift wrapping are so pretty! What kind of ribbons are they?
I can’t wait to do another knit along with you! I would prefer the Dec cast on date, but I am in no matter when you want to start!
That seems to be a popular vote!
What a fun list! I’ll definitely be making some Tilda mittens for my partners mom!

Yes! They are the modern mug rugs by Sheila Houle
@@YoungfolkKnits Thank you! Love your podcast, one of my absolute favourites to watch.
I just discovered your channel and I’m so glad I did! The black and white coasters….can you share which pattern that is? Loved them!
Thank you! They are called the “modern mug rugs”
