@@JBonTECH My problem with the gopro macro lens is that it's not compatible with the older gopros :/ I have the 9 and 11, so i'd have to buy the 13 too, and it's basically the same thing as the 11. But yeah it offers more control over the neewer macro, that's for sure :)
The GoPro Macro Lens Mod works with HyperSmooth stabilization and maintains sharpness out to the corners. The third-party closeup filters degrade the stabilization and aren’t sharp at all in the corners. For what they are, they do a reasonable job, but there’s only so much you can do with one lens element versus the four in the GoPro Macro Lens Mod. Of course, the third party ones don’t have adjustable focus either so can’t be used for things like vlogging. Full disclosure: I work for GoPro
Is there any retired GoPro employees that worked in firmware? I have 2 hero 4 black 2 hero 5 session and 2 hero 7 black...karma drone I know these cameras can be improved through firmware...
@@JBonTECH I was wondering if it could be left on all the time and still get the clarity of the standard lens and look the the same on the distance part. Hard to tell in a few videos I’ve seen.
i actually like the blurred background from the Neewer lens more in your example :)i also have that lens, you can fix the distortion while editing 👍🏻
Good stuff! It looks a little too obvious on that lens IMHO

@@madeiraislander makes sense. I think the Neewer definitely gets the job done and produces some great shots
I had a GoPro6 and I picked up a GoPro 9 from your web store. Definitely need to learn more because I’m not utilizing it to its full potential
A great camera for sure...the Neewer macro lens mentioned here will work with that camera and opens up so new possibilities

Thanks Jon! I agree the Macro Mod is a lot better and has features that make it a winner for sure

Hello
Please Can you tell me which Neewer lens did you used for Gopro 12 ? Thank you
Hi, link in the description directly to it.
can u put the leens from 13 on 12
?
No. They don’t fit
There is also the macromate mini
👍🏻
i'm here for the GoPro content, but subscribing because I saw the GoRuck bags.
Nice! I might have a few 😜
Can you use Macro lens for vlogging and sitting a few feet away from camera with a blurred background? Like a camera…
The answer is yes! The new lens allows you to focus in a wider range from a few inches to just over 2 feet. Perfect hand-held Vlog mode.
Can the macro lens replace the normal lens? I know it can focus to 11cm. But can it focus like 30cm to infinity?
Specs are 11-75cm using the focus ring

Can I just carry just the macro lens alone and leave the standard lens at home?
You'll want the standard lens for most situations
@@JBonTECH okay. Thank you for your input!
