"You've always got an answer, haven't you?"
"No."
😅
😂😂😂
I like that Jesus would still give him a reference.
He is Jesus, after all.
Well he's a pretty nice guy.
Well, they are brothers
@@marianadesilva9174 ...?
no
He's known for his forgiving nature ;p
So much for forgiving seventy times seven, eh Jesus?
One of the funniest sketches ever. I love Big Train.
Geez you are HOT!!💥
I love how he says I'm sacked
very brent like..
Don't worry, Old Beelzebub will always have a job in Politics.
I heard he'd quit politics because it had gotten too dirty. "I have some standards you know!" says Devil.
Why have I never seen this show before it’s great
0:57 I like the visit Israel poster in the background.
They would kill jesus if he visited israel today.
And then call him a terrorist.
@@alikool0001 isnt Jesus the messiah israel was looking for? just questioning
@@lancetheking7524 he was one of many, whenever times are troubled and a leader emerges. that leader somehow becomes the generation's messiah. Cyrus the Great was the messiah, as was Sabbatai Zevi, as was the Lubavitcher Rebbe (despite his claims to the contrary). The qualifications for the messiah label are very loose (despite the strict specifications laid out in the law), I live in Jerusalem and my own personal messiah is the bartender who gives out free chasers.
@@nicolasababa895 ok that last sentence was funny gotta say
Dec 2019 What I love about all the 9 & 10 year old comments is that people think they are replying to each other, but they are actually making new comments. So we have no idea what they were responding to. YT was a baby, Nigahiga was the best of the best, people mostly navigated themselves rather than being sent in herds by the algorithm.
Hello to the late 2019 herd
People were replying to each other by making another comment, there was no reply system, so they just mark them down.
@SuperKratosgamer You're right. I remember that UA-cam from a decade ago.
Gervais I think (effectively) got his inspiration for his tv series office from this clip. Some words, phrases and lay out seem so similar
1:40 I always thought that was very Brent
yeah wow this is David and his bosses' entire relationship in a nutshell
The concept and layout were all Stephen Merchants creation, Gervais just created the actual character of David Brent, kind of annoys me when Gervais gets all the credit for what was actually Stephen Merchants creation
I think some inspiration may've also come from the sketch in The Day Today also named "The Office".
@@drexlspivey5828 Actually it's just a copy of the Larry Sander's Show. A lot of 90s and early 2000s English comedians made out like bandits copying cult American TV shows that were not well known in the UK.
This show was gold
"there's a danger of electrocution"
5 out of 5.
😂
Ha ha! Big Train was always great. This sketch was a lot "The Office" like wasn't it? I know it was pre-Office though.
Yep Ricky and said there isn't one original idea in the office lol, this must be where they got it from
This was before the office, but back in the 80s/90s there were a lot of documentaries that were set out in that way, Gervais is just using them as a basis.
Gervais is not using a thing, he did not even thought about it.
That's what struck me, too. I'm a bit surprised, having thought that Gervais' idea was original. Take away the costumes and it would be the Office, completely.
no gervais nicked it like he nicks everything, overrated arseall
@@ThomasCorfield Merchant and Pilkington were his supply for years, there's more creativity in a sack of potatoes
When I first saw the Office those kind of documentaries were so common I thought I was watching a real one, until I thought "this guy can't be for real" it was brilliant. Same with The Day To Day, there was a moment when I thought I was watching a genuine news programme. I think it was the explosive dogs news item I tuned in on and it was just on the edge of credible. I suppose now we have streaming channels those magic moments when we land on a channel mid-programme and take a moment to orientate to what it is you are watching will never happen again.
Thank you UA-cam big time for this recommendation.
Not give him another chance, give him other 490 chances😆, dig the hole by yourself🤣
“Do not use God’s name in vain”
Pre The Office - think about that
Ok……………….
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 Yeah but for clarity the English version with Ricky Gervais
Hell is other people! 🤣🤣
My favourite line is 'it won't be a glowing report', when talking about giving a reference, unlike the glow from the fires in hell it would seem.
Does Jesus have a Human Resource to go to?
God 😘🕊🌳
Ohhhh that's pushing the boundaries
A one minute sketch dragged over three
His English is pretty good . Thank you uk for teaching the almighty.
Jesus got nailed to a cross; didn't even put up a fight. He's hardly mighty.
I’m sacked 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure that the guy speaking to Jesus off-camera is Graham Linehan.
waldron76 You are correct
Chris Morris narrates the "Artist Formerly Known As Prince" sketch
waldron76 graham linehan was the guy who was the focus for hbomberguy’s livestream right
Graham Linehan! It's Graham Linehan's voice! *bows*
Friggin genius.
When Jesus was stil nkjust bruhmm. His crown XD this is so funny
Hey, is that Graham Lineham as the interviewer?
It s just a banter jesus !
the devil looks cute
And gentlemen, we present to you, congress. :)
Good luck to him, I think he can find another posistion
Neat!! Good job, awesome! Know one died! brilliant
I think we all know where Satan went to work next.
I think it was Milton that described Satan in those terms, not the Bible. People confuse them all the time.
FUNNIER WITHOUT LAUGH TRACK!!
lolx how can they keep a straight face :D
Satan found a job with a rival company
But that's Brian from Spaced! I need to watch this show :D
Haha spaced was the best
But in reality it is always the other way around .. Jesus getting sacked .. you got it wrong!
Jesus has a Visit Israel poster in his cubicle.
God, Mark Heap!
I never knew Jim was Jesus 😮
The dryness is giving me anxiety!
"The office" was orignally on Chris Morris's the day to to, check it out its jokes, Steve coogan as a butcher
Jesus didn't give thanks before eating.
@Zend Avesta Jesus always gave thanks to his father.
@@cuqiie1 "Thank you me, for this sandwich."
@@ComicGladiator hmmm,so Jesus never prayed nor did he ever give thanks? Let's see,so the last supper whwn he broke the bread and lifted up the cup to give thanks that never happened neither did he pray when he was on the cross, right!
I was immediately aware that this was not the real "Lord Jesus Christ", when he did not pray before taking a bite of his sandwich, nor did he pray over the plastic spider to bring the breath of life into its lifeless body...then command it to go in peace, and wash in the river Jordan to recieve its sight, but to tell no one how he recieved his new life and restored sight.
God bless all the comedians who give us joy and laughter, with a bit of witty delight.

@@cuqiie1 "Great wine, thanks me."
"Forgive them, me, for they know not what they do."
Thanks Glinner
Go on , humour me !
That also explains how people live their life nowadays and just dont care
91 people don't understand comedy unless it has a punchline.
Not sure that's why people are disliking it. We get it, you think you have a superior sense of humour.
So under ‘strengths’ you’ve put ‘accounts’.
From a book written (and rewritten) by humans , a long time ago
Just noticed that's Graham Linehan doing the interviewing.
Before his breakdown
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 He's not had a breakdown. He's campaigning for what's right against this trans-waffle.
Why because evil always loses
this isn't Big Train, it's Horrible Histories.
No, it isn't.
Rob Fraser *sarcasm
Don't worry - you won't go to hell as it doesn't exist.
It's probably based on the Devil, there.
I was hoping to see him get a job in the government as that would have been a great end to the sketch.
can anybody give me the Engsub?
thanks so much.
I dont remember reading this on the bible
It was 'in' the Bible, that's why you missed it.
It's all in there. Read it again.
A vit like some of the sketches in Fist of fun.
I like Jesus
dude i thought the same thing!!!! so feel better about your comment.
Jesus could do well with beige knickers not dark 😮💨
I think it is, actually. Well spotted.
The Eyes of this Jesus are amazing but the real conversation between Jesus and Satan are more Epic and no Comedy!!!
Jesus
Ah, source material for RG unearthed!!
Bit of an exorcism.
hahaha ah ah this video is a good time video
Is that mr bean laugh
I thought this was very clever because it presented Jesus as a decent, dignified guy.
Sarah Sherwood we all know a satan.
@@Delta-ei7im you can say that again
Haha sorry. Bad day I guess hahaha.
I like jesus more than anyone else😍
Who is who?
was it "Big train" that had christ in the desert being tempted by the devil- by popping bubble wrap and the air seal on coffee jars?
mrspivvy that was the Mary Whitehouse Experience, I think.
Very mild. Can't help but think this could have been a lot better.
They seem to have done it first, and inspired other people worked out how to do it better over time.
Jesus is British
Merci Jésus
Jesus make angry
The whole point of this sketch is the reveal of the devil, i wish you'd just titled it as "jesus office boss" or something
I’m gonna go God
10/10 comedy.
lol
yellow subscribe button at hte end
(😊🙏🏻I Love Papa jesus 💚😇)
Why not share it mad?..
haha yeah I wonder which came first
I showed him
I bet all those saying this is boring must like Little Britai, Catherines Tate (especially the "am I bovvered though") Lee Evans and the like
This is subtle situalionalism and is welcome when most comedy (See aforementioned comparison) is obvious, gimmicky catchphrase led lowest common denominator driven tat.The fact that Tramadol Nights or Kevin Bishopwas ever given a slot is testament to the tragedy I lament.
HOwever, when I hear guys like Doug Stanhope I know that there is a chance for us!
Super Jesus my only one master
why not?
Już wiem czym się inspirowali GF Darwin.
mark heap.
Funny
Was romesh ranganathan playing the devil ?

Pozdrawiam darwinistów
That is a nasty looking sandwich, a pretty typical british sandwich.
