"I deal with death far too much in the ER." Every friend and family member I have ever met that worked in the ER it was not their first complaint... it was the insane amount of stuff people jam in their butt.
The constant death is what made me switch career paths from Trauma Medicine to Trauma Psych. As my professor's, most of them, have said, the ER is a battlefield, and like any battlefield, no one leaves without a few scars. Trauma doctors and Nurses have the highest rate of PTSD of all career paths, higher than military and police. The speculation is that this is because by default, most who work in this profession do so, to save lives, and the weight of those they could not save, puts a larger toll on their minds. Dr. Wagner, myself, and many others, all tend to have stories that would break people with a less resolve. Of my graduating class of 1,372 who all became nurses in 2012, only around 400 of us are still practicing. This is on the higher end of things, however the average is, if i recall correctly, that only around 50% of those go into medicine, will stay in that line of work until retirement, and around 30% will seek alternate careers within 20 years.
With dogs trained to find survivors in a disaster, if the dogs keep finding corpses, rescuers will often stage fake survivor discoveries to keep the dogs' morale up. Hugs and best wishes to everyone trying to help us.
@@thevashfan12392 Less thats he truly fit, and more that hes become callous enough the death doesnt affect his ability to do his job. Theres a reason doctors and nurses have one of the highest suicide rates of any profession.
If you liked Anatomy Park, then you'd love Cells at Work. It's basically the same concept, just with cuter details. It's very educational and entertaining. :)
He should definitely do cells at work but there are actually two types so I a, guessing you mean the one with the red blood cell as a girl and white blood cell as a boy.
I love how the germs and viruses in this episode are like the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. Hepatitis A: Carnotaurus Hepatitis C: Tyrannosaurus Rex Tuberculosis: Compsognathus Gonorrhoea: Spinosaurus Bubonic Plague: Baby Velociraptor E.Coli: Velociraptor

@@joedufour8188 wym man i watch rick and morty sober and its the best show ive ever watched. i’ve watched alot of shows, and what do u mean by the squares
You should review Osmosis Jones, it's a classic animated kid's movie from the early 2000s about a white blood cell who is a policeman and a cold pill that helps him stop a deadly virus in a man's body.
Once again I will try - maybe a reaction to "Saw" movies series? Could be cool with all it's grotesque violence, kinda like mortal kombat fatalities :p
Love your videos, keep up the awesome content! Also I think some other people mentioned it but there's a show called "Cells at work" which is kinda similar to this episode but more anatomical accurate
I'm honestly surprised you haven't reacted to Total Drama yet, it's right up your alley! I know there's a lot of episodes, but trust me, it's an awesome show worth watching, and there's plenty of medical material for you to work with!
This episode has a lot in common with the movie "Innerspace" which was kind of like an update of "Fantastic Voyage," with an extra wrinkle and a lot more absurdity. Both, like this, deal with miniaturization, and adventures inside the human body. Of them, "Innerspace" is a LOT funnier, and contains rather more Martin Short than the other one, which is sadly lacking in that department. It's been a while since I've seen that one, so I'm not sure how much there is to comment on that strays much from the "That's definitely NOT how that works" category of reaction, but, it's still a fun evening of frivolity if nothing else. But, if you're more after something from the perspective of an ambitious neutrophil, you definitely can't go wrong with "Osmosis Jones," which contains a significant amount of Bill Murray, and a surprising amount of material that borders almost "dangerously" on the scientifically defensible, in terms of depiction of stuff.
2:57 recovering heroin addict here... (clean for 15 years now) I *had* hepatitis C myself, but I used the HARVONI [oral caplets] treatment, and am now cured. No viral load.
I would like to suggest the very emotional Jurassic Bark from Futurama. A sad ending but, has a scene where the Professor sticks a probe into Fry's dog [from 1999] which had been flash 'rockised' into dolomite (I think) as he was was to extract DNA from it, in an effort to clone the dog, and found out that the dog 'Seymour' was fifteen. Beware after that a sad emotional scene and music which really pulls at the heart stings. I bring it up, if age can be found out from DNA extraction.
My sister had hepatitis C and within about a year it was clear her body rectified it somehow. Japanese doctors flew over specifically to get samples of her blood it was so weird she wasn't even notified of it until she had a follow up appointment some months later
One thing I’m sure you probably noticed but didn’t talk about was how when morty enters anatomy park, the red blood cells are rafts to the bloodstream. I thought that was really neat for some reason

I wanted to ask how being around that much death hampers your mental health or social interactions? I’m also looking into being a paramedic so another reason to ask.
If you'll notice, Rick doesn't wear a seatbelt. He has no survival instinct, only an instinct for alcohol. He's a textbook shining example of alcoholism.
I think it would be cool to see what you have to say about Dr. Strange. Yes, it's a superhero film, but the main character IS a licensed medical professional, and quite a few scenes take places in a hospital and deal with surgeries. I'm especially curious about what insights you could give about the car accident and hand injuries.
I remember an episode of Rugrats where Chucky swallowed a watermelon seed & the kids shrink down & go inside him to get it before it grows into a watermelon in his stomach.
Given the success of Jungle Cruise and what could be seen of the start of a Disney theme park film universe I would love to see a Body Wars movie get made
Can you react to the medical scenes from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure? Specifically the very end of part 3 called “Dio’s World”.
