If you felt mislead, I truly apologize. Believe it or not, these are the extent of my thoughts on the leaks without seeing the entirety of the episode.
Well I like the books and show I decided a while ago just to enjoy them separately I don’t mind them giving Damon the heads up I mean something had to happen cause he did say one that that was correct without damon greens could have ended the war already but I really need to see how it ends up cause it’s seems to me they just tried to spead the season out to much but maybe there’s a good reason that we don’t know yet they are doing this they did need a reason for Damon and seems like now he’s going to have to do some convincing and the family as a whole should he realizing by. Now like hey we kill to many more there won’t be any dragons so forth I think their mistake thus far is they are for shadowing the storming of the pit I really liked the first season for most part and I like this one too but they are definitely taking a lot on trying to fix GOT at the same time if they just keep to this story and maybe add a little in but they have enough to deal with so them trying to basically fix that they did wrong with GOt has been a tad weird and I hope they have something up their sleeve to fix this ( much has been over thought they are just trying to strech things out a bit to much personally I like Jaces show character allot And think they do as well allot of this is caused by them wanting to keep Damon Jace and queen as long as they can looks like they are going to make Aeagon one of the good characters in a way dude never wanted it even when he was on they way to pit and had they not done what they did maybe the queen doesn’t go so crazy , I thought a huge mistake in GOT was not showing Dany in the right light we didn’t get to see much of her losing and thinking crazy stuff again real Simple That last season shoulda been split into two seasons one dealing with knight king and the last season dealing with the rest they seem like they trying to fix to much if they aren’t careful same could happen here but wish book fans would give a. Daemon’s is worse. At least, Alicent made a choice. Daemon is completely stripped of any agency and was practically left no choice but to accept what Alys showed him.
This franchise is officially died. Daemon is all of a sudden into prophecy when his whole character was about was rejecting destiny etc and doing it yourself of free will but now saw a vision and he doesn’t want the throne himself? Daenerys being the princess that was promised but didn’t do anything against the white walkers yet Arya did? The white walkers are useless now because we all know how it ends and instead of redoing got they have linked hot to the got show with that laughable ending 😂😂😂😂

Daemons motivation to rejoin rhaen are really weird . And the alicent shit is so bad that I had a Suspicion that the scene was AI generated how do these fucking people keep sneaking into each other’s strongholds ?!
Only half of it got leaked, also it ends on a cliffe hanger which is very intriguing also a lot of scenes in the finale are very intriguing, there are problems but overall it’s a pretty good finale.
I'm actually happy they're not showing it yet (if leaks are true). It's a huge event in the Dance, and I'm happy to have it coming in the future, as long as we get a great final episode this season. From the leaks, I don't even know how they're going to fit all of them into one episode. The battle of the Gullet wouldn't have enough attention if they did it in episode 8.
Uh oh… that’s the kind of question that makes book fans reflect inwardly a bit too much. Which I think I am guilty of getting caught up in being irritated by something inherently built into an adaptation.
@@DCharles i say a 1/4 or a third of show only fan will be put off particularly by Alicent, some of Daemon stuff (like he only pledge after seeing the vision). I agree show only fan won't be put off by the rest of the reveal leak.
I loved the leak and thought since Fire and Blood released that Daemon would connect to the prophecy. His body is never found, his marks on the tree bleed every year, and the spot of his death is where the children of the forest made a pact with the first men. The only thing i didnt like was Helaena spoiling Aemonds death. Otherwise, i was clapping during the episode and thought the season was saved. The prophecy stuff was always there in the text, it just wasnt spelled out as much. Fire and Blood is a history book and there is no way they would know about these moments.
To be fair, I'm not sure this show could have been it's own thing since a lot of things that happen in this show directly affect the Game of Thrones show. Plus, they have the Dunk and Egg show is coming out. They'll have to weave that in as well.
@5.43, PLEASE, not those words! 😱. "Subverting expectations". Not a book reader. I have to say, as a show only fan, I did think this season could have been better but I still adored the scenes with Paddy and Matt. Thank you for your not really spoiling the finale episode. I know roughly/ seen short clips of the finale, not the whole thing. As a show watcher, Daemon's character, took some literal and figurative twists and turns- like him stomping off in a mood and his restlessness that we have already seen. The scenes with young Rhaenyra, Viserys and the crown...I think was overall a look into his shadow self and exploring the question Rhaenyra asked about whether he is willing to obey her, rather than, just being reckless, and fumbling the son for a son thing. We saw him being both ruthless at Harrenhal, (initiating the slaughter of House Blackwood), with "I didn't really think they would be so willing to die", whilst casually cleaning his sword which made me chuckle but some of the "river", scenes, I recognized from briefly staying there! Bit cold of him to then execute the guy who helped him. We see him dismiss the new Lord Tully...to his own detriment as he turned out to be a bit of a badass! But I do think that if it's revealed that he is on Rhaenyra's side, because he believes in her, then they could have condensed the dream scenes, because it made the pacing of the show seem soooo much slower. He's missing all of the excitement too- I hope they show that FOMO, just because I feel he would have been amused and entertained by the Ser Sparklyn and the busturds, with Vermithor. But I doubt they will. I still think, part of why most of the lowborn, became the Bronze Fury's dinner, is because the dragons felt the trainer's absence and knew they didn't feel it was right AND, when the one stepped on a dragon egg, not only could it have become a hatchling, but although Vermithor came up behind Rhaenyra, there was a lack of protocol and respect because nobody SANG THE SACRED SONG! Surely, Rhaenyra would have known it- especially as Daemon sung it when retrieving Syrax's eggs, (for the babies), and we know again from season 1 that she and Daemon spoke fluent Old Valerian between each other. And why did she leave them- she didn't with Sparklyn?
I only seen the Aegon/Orwhyle/Larys scene and then Aemond/Helena and was very pleased with the links. It was fantastic seeing Helena stand up to Aemond and reveal him for the little boy he still is and Aegon and Larys continue to be the best pairing of this season. Seeing Aegon at his absolute lowest and full of despair but yet you can see that Targaryen fire burn inside him still when he demands Larys take him to his throne right now because he is dispensing justice and arresting Aemond for treason against his king and mainly for torching the town of small folk with Vhagar.
From what I’ve seen, I don’t like it. This season has been mostly down but after episode 7, I had high hopes it’d end on a high note. I don’t think I’ll be watching it episode to episode next season. I’ll just wait until it all drops.
I remember GoT season 8 leaking and I was like wow, that looks awful. Watching it was somehow worse. HotD feels different to me. It is maddeningly frustrating because there are really good parts that are often undercut by really odd choices or bad writing.
If I had complaints about the ASOIAF prophecy stuff, it was because I didn’t think it would go anywhere. Now that it is going somewhere, I’m very unsure how I feel about it. I’m trying to be reserved for the full episode on Sunday
The problem comes in with Daemon being the conduit for it while making that the reason why he stays loyal to Rhaenyra. Like what was the point of giving us all those scenes of potential character development if you’re gonna just throw it all out for the sake of “prophecy”. It removes Daemons free will and completely destroys the essence of his character.
Rhaenyra's KL visit to Alicent (at Rhaenys insistence) in ep 3, was to prevent an all-out war between kin and fought using their ultimate weapon, dragons... from breaking out. Alicent's visit to Rhaenyra is to propose a "King Solomon would give me half" type of compromise, to end the war. Big difference. I look forward to seeing that scene in its full context.
