It's funny how people always think that Rhaenyra was always intent on killing alicent children but it was the opposite the war started when alicent son aemond killed Luke a peaceful envoy. If Rhaenyra amd daemon thought alicent would usurp the throne then the blood and cheese act would have happened to alicent and her children a long time ago but it only happens in retaliation after her son is murdered by aemond hse would never have left kingslanding but she did ask yourself would you leave someone you don't trust in a position of power

I think the issue with the later seasons is they cut out too much important things. Like Aegon coming to take over, and a lot of the magic/lore. Plus the night king was a mistake. Giving us a specific villain meant only one person could end it not letting other characters share in the victory more.

This scene was essentially meant to be the Red Wedding of F&B and HOTD, but it just didn’t have quite the same emotional, or dramatic, impact.

Just having a show depiction of winterfell during dance with all the scheming factions and secrets and murders would be better than all 8 seasons combined.

The lack of meaning to the conclusion of pretty much every characters arc at the end of the show was such a big problem, it just leaves you feeling empty.

Let's be honest, no one knows Lyanna Stark. Her description and character are so vague. Since she claimed Robert would cheat on her, however she had no problem with running with the married man. So Robert might be right: Lyanna could've kidnapped and raped by Rhaegar. There was no evidence of her feelings towards the prince. He was handsome and charming but his affection towards her is uncomfortable: he already had a family and heirs and she was promised to Baratheon. Who would risk everything to run away with lover? She was 15-16 and Rheagar was around 27. I think Robert as a fiance has right to be wrathful against Rhaegar and Targaryens in general because the king didn't give a damn about the powerful houses and even more punished cruelly Starks for asking for returning of Lyanna.

One of the major themes of Game of Thrones the books is transformation. Characters are sometimes transformed into the opposite of what they started out as. I think Lady Brianne could be transformed into someone with impeccable on her into someone who must choose to be less honorable in order to live. In a sense, she and Jamie may end up trading places in terms of their honor.

personally, i liked jaime from the very start. i liked him because i knew right away that there was something more to him. and the only reason i thought that was tyrion. because tyrion was being ridiculed by people outside and inside his family, when i saw jaime treating him like a brother or an equal, i was taken aback. i thought if this guy is really as bad as it's shown, how come he's not picking on the easiest target for him, his dwarf little brother. it's a small thing, but i knew right away that there should be something more to this guy. and there was.

I take issue with all of the 'blame' for Rhaenyra's children being bastards and not true heirs for Driftmark. Laenor 'tries' to have an heir with Rhaenyra and finds himself unable to do so. If she had deceived her husband, and he had not agreed to maintain appearances with her and raise her children, that'd be different. While it's also easy to blame Aegon for not learning how to be a king, and therefore being terrible.... Aegon took his father seriously that Rhaenyra was to be his heir, had no interest in ruling, and was used as a pawn. He ought to have been permitted to abdicate when he'd made it clear that he did not want to rule.

Sansa just wanted to do the right thing; she believed in happy ever after; but she was surrounded by people who had authority over her who had no interest in right or wrong or happy ever after; she was surrounded by Machivelians. Her predicament gets steadily worse until she eventually learns that she must become as wise as a serpent as well as gentle as a dove. The former she had down since birth the latter she had to master through trials of fire. Sansa's story teaches us that no prince charming is coming to save us; we must become our own hero if we ever hope to escape such a nightmare.

Ah, it's a series about Arya, someone with no sailing or navigating experience(Great job, D & D). It takes us to a part of the world of Song and Ice and Fire that nothing has been written about. I'm only interested in either a sequel season to try and fix seasons 7 and 8 or a total remake. I don't see myself enjoying a different sequel. My mouth is still sour from GOT.

HBO hasn't been able to adapt anything from George properly since GOT S4 and most of their own ideas are shit, so no, all they'll do is further ruin a once great character

Ehh Ayra's character show arc just felt like bland fanfic to bother investing into a new show as her being the main protagonist/antagonist. I think a event (Maybe something to do with the last dragon) that triggers a conflict between King Bran Stark and the newly legitimized Gendry Baratheon would be far more interesting. Maybe Gendry could allude to the Prince that was promised plot point that was connected to Stanis

Nay, these characters have a stink on them that wont wash off for at least a generation, finishing the books although thats never going to happen is the only event that make a return to any of these characters possible and thats only if the ending is satisfactory. Thank you for the video! It's interesting that man understands the mentality of the little girl better than most women... I always liked Sansa the most. She is relatable. She was manipulated, groomed, bullied, beaten just because she was a pretty noble girl. But she didn't become awful person and I believe she never will. She is smater than people think, that even she thinks. If she survives she will become the best lady-ruler for her people. Not Arya who is too traumatized and wild. Not Dany who is a conquror but not much as a ruler (with Tyrion on her side who hates his family and Westeros Dany will eventually becomes a tyrant). Not Margery who is amazing queen in the show, but in the books she is quite avarage young girl doomed by Cersei's jealous and hatred.

I haven't read the book so I enjoyed HOTD alot. But the worst thing about how GOT ended is how Martin will probably never finish the books now (unless he's been secretly working on the final book alongside Winds to release it sooner after)

I want to write epic story like set in medieval with kings and queens but it about something else and do you think it is possible to someone else to write unique story about another sets of kingdom in different world with another task or it just impossible to write as everyone going to compare it to game of thrones, different houses and everything? I miss peak Game of Thrones. House of the Dragon appeared to approach it at times, but always found a way to just fall short. I'm worried that season 2 has torpedoed it, but I keep trying to find hope that Season 3 will start to brush the issues of season 2 away somehow.

I don't understand how the concept of actually reading the books is absolutely not an option for you. Try it. The show cut out so much. A lot of the cuts actually start in season 2. It was supposed to have Reek and Mira & Jojen. The Blackwater battle is made way more simplistic.

I love and hate it was really a big think for me when it was around. I still haven't gotten over it. Yet now I feeling anxtity with HOD. I hope one day that feeling of what could have been goes away.
