I saw this performance - with this cast & this magnificent Jesus in Hamburg in 2018. It was one of the most profound, riveting and pleasurable works of any kind I attended in my 70 years. I am not religious and when it was initially announced in the media that Neumeier was choreographing the St Matthew it was hard to believe. But he is a creative genius. I cannot think of any ballet I have ever seen that compares to this one.
