10 Orchids in bloom this April!

- What orchids are in bloom this April? Well...quite a few actually Plant Lovers! I even managed to forget a few but Heigh Ho....it will give us something to talk about later on! So in this video we'll look at the plants that have burst forth with flowers for me this April; two are new and one a complete surprise! The plants we look at are:

Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann Buckleberry

Thank you for your videos. They gave me confidence to grow other orchids as phanelopsis and I am very successful. Cologeny Cristata gave me 13 flower spikes in the first year. It was thank to your videos and I learned how to grow them

I have aPahely (white) under PYREX. I inheritied a PYREX Bell Jar (real onne!) and the MINI Phaely is under that. It has notbloomed in (2) yrs you should see it now! GORGEOUS! (12) little blooms).

Some very nice plants there, Matthew! I especially like the more exotic, though doubtful I can find them here or even online, but I shall persevere. Thank you for showing them. My mood is lifted, my day is better after watching those beautiful blooms. I received a package with root rotting masdevallia and almost dried paphiopedilum so the day started bad 😅.

Hi Mathew, the orchids are doing so well and all are blooming beautiful. I killed all my orchids, do not know if I shared this before, sorry if I repeat myself, so, I bought 3 miniature Phalaenopsis, one stripy and one large white flowering Phal. I was literally petrified coming home with them, I thought they will die on me again. I changed the potting soil, and the pots, there are 3 new leaves from the miniature ones, I am watching always for the bigger ones for new leaves, nothing thus far. So now I am starting to feel better, I have hope. We are on the Highveld area in S. Africa, my house is quite cold in the winter, alas, those orchids will have to be treasured during May through to end of July. Wish me well in your thoughts. Well good luck with them! Phalaenopsis do like a cooler temperature change in winter to stimulate blooms so I wouldn't worry about the house temperature! If you can take it, they can!
