Naturally right after I rendered this and got it ready for upload, Blizz went and announced the release date 😂. We'll have some more info probably next week now we know the date so keep an eye out. So how about it, are you brave enough to put it all on the line for DEATH or GLORY?

The hardcore raid had cheaters in it. They didn’t even deserve to be at Naxx. If you group up with someone who has cheated (no longer hardcore), then you lose your hardcore status. So the whole raid wasn’t even hardcore anymore, because they grouped up (some of them knowingly) with non hardcore players.
The wipe was to make them admit their status. As non hardcore (or dead) characters.
Did you know they cheated or did you just not want to cover it?

Will it have the constant pop ups of people dying and their location? That was what made it most fun for me.
Rest assured Blizzard will put the absolute bare minimum effort into this

Always questing the green ones, 2 bags filled with healpots, bandages and food.
Warrior is so good - if you know what you're doing. A skilled warrior can chain pull for quite some time before needing to stop, so levelling speed is decent. And you will be in high demand for dungeons if you're able to tank (and if you're good - you can, easily, no matter what spec).
But its not easy. It'll never be easy, even for the best players. Its a real challenge with no 'safe' options to abuse (other then grinding green mobs, but that's quite slow after a while).

I won't be able to compete in the tournament, but I am really looking forward to all the content! A duel to the death tournament is the only way I would watch WoW PvP.
I would but too early in the server’s lifespan. They should wait till people get to 60 and flood the market with powerful boe before they do this.
It's the MMO equivalent of a sealed deck tournament.

If you die in Classic Hardcore you die in real life.
I really do not see the appeal in permadeath in games. I mean, why would you willingly sign up for a mode where hundreds of hours of game time can be completely invalidated all because of things that are out of your control? It's so dumb.
They want the sense of challenge and award, basically they are so bored, they want something to punch them in the gut to make their life feel validating.
Is it really so crazy that for some people having semi meaningful stakes for failure makes the experience more engaging to them?
if you go in with the mindset that ur not gonna make it super far and wil just enjoy the process its gonna be a blast

I quit Retail about 6 years ago and played thru classic era when it released and also wrath classic the first few months. Before everyone got extremely toxic and the game became jaded.
Looking forward to seeing how classic hardcore pans out. I'd play a combat rogue or survival hunter alongside ya if i still had a pc. Been refocusing on getting healthy in all ways again instead though! Much luck and love bro!

You won’t be able to resurrect. If you die you delete. So you can die in preparation but you will won’t be able to play that character.

thats a lot of the point, it'll be about how fast you go vs the risks you take because of the limited time.
HC servers are not going to last. i give it a max of 4 month, then its dead. It wil ofc have the few hardcore HC players, but less players

Honestly i dont agree that this troll was not funny, the amount if dedication and planing that had to go into finding the perfect place and time to kill so many instantly without petri flask was quite amazing and its a hats off to that troll.
One thing I noticed about Diablo 4 hardcore when people disconnected for whatever reason when they are able log back in their character was dead. Granted I haven’t touched a blizzard product since shadowlands people that still believe that blizzard won’t mess this up keep your expectations low.

The popularity of that has caused blizzard to make official servers.
I literally just want to hit 60 so I can say i've done it. I've got zero interest in HC endgame.
Seems unbelievably stupid, i guess a pvp tournament could be fun. But a whole server to this is 10 kinds of stupid
I would rather play a new SoM with changes like classic+ but might sub again for the HC challenge.
Honestly, to me, Hardcore in almost all games has felt like just a waste of time. I get people enjoy it, and it is awesome you do, but I don't think I have any plans on watching or even playing it. I just can't see the joy of dinging 30 and then just dying and having to play another 10+ hours to get to the same spot, and then likely dying again. What am I even achieving at this point, you know. So it's not for me.
You're playing a game all day anyway.. you aren't achieving anything at all with your life.
Back in the arcade days all games was perma death :). you dont achive more spending all your time at the end game on normal servers /shrug
@@viktorbengtsson676 The difference is that you probably didn't play arcade games for more than 10-15 minutes at a time, World of Warcraft is an mmo that can easily take weeks. And I said "almost all games".
@@RickNasty42069YOLO Depends on what you mean by "achieving". If I get a new weapon in a game that took time and effort, I "achieved" something. But if I did the same thing in hardcore and then died and lost it, then I didn't really achieve anything, right?. And that is an extra hard pill to swallow when it could easily have taken you a week or two of dedicated playing to get it. I personally don't find that time well spent. I could have done the same thing on a normal playthrough and have not worried about losing it, or done something completely different, like learning a language, or drawing, or whatever. I am not saying Hardcore is a bad mode, I think it's awesome for those who enjoy it. My point is that it is not for me.
You're playing it for the journey and the process. Otherwise no point, yes.
Hardcore just seems like the most unfun way to play the game. It's not like the game actually gets harder, you just need to be more cautious, and that just means completing the same exact content, but a lot slower in a lot of cases. I just don't get it. It's like feeling rewarded by making the game more tedious just for the sake of it.

finding an elite that you have to die 6 times to to finally figure out some cheese in order to beat it creates more of a challenge than "ok im just not gonna attempt anything dangerous because i might die and lose 50 hours of my life"

Started classic in 2019 planning to die as few times as possible. As long as I didn't risk 5man dungeon groups or went into infamous caverns it was more of a wanting to die than being overwhelmed.
To be fair, the Zeliek thing wasn't a troll, that was justice being served.

I will be slowly but surely farming with a wand spec priest. And will heal dungeons.and make bags. That's it. I doubt I'll ever make it to a raid
Wow classic hardcore is great. Wow classic is great. See I am playing retail amd every expansion I change main and/spec because they make mine worse and make another one better. So increasing longevity in classic is amazing for anyone who is sick of losing what they love.

... What does this mean? Does this mean PvP is disabled, outside of duels? Does this mean PvP is enabled, but you'll be punished for it? Or is this just some nonsense they are saying to try and alleviate the concerns **that anyone with even the smallest knowledge of WoW** should have? The concern of someone getting a rogue to level 30, 40, 60 whatever then ganking anyone and everyone?

PVP will be opt in so only people who want to participate will. Malicious player killing would be things like pulling mobs to someone in combat so they die.

I would love to participate, but I don't even have a desktop anymore. I will cheer all the warriors on from the sidelines. It was and always will be my favorite class.

if you are playing for character progression, you should not be on hardcore. There will be no meaningful character progression when you are just one d/c away from losing everything. You need to play for the fun and enjoyment of leveling because then a d/c is not really a big deal. Your next toon will have an easier level as it starts with mats and gold from previous toons.

They won't be reversing death but they implemented a lot of anti griefing measures specifically for HC realms.
Im surprise they wouldn't make a 3 life chance that way if die you 2 chances left and then 1 if die twice then final 3rd death is your game over for the character you create.

Players dont want Hardcore Games, Player Want Games That they are good at. This Game will have a few Players after the Hype woh will stick to it but the cost to let it running will be higher than they getting Money out of it so after 1-3 Years this Server will be shut down its just a Money graveyard for companys.
We already know that hardcore is a success because tons of people have already played the unofficial version of it

He played Classic when it dropped, and levelled a warrior to 60 and had a genuinely wonderful time. He didn't play TBC/Wrath because he had no interest.
