    Love your video…I’m 81, and have been sewing for 60 years, but have never tried hand quilting, until now. I’m watching videos to get an idea of what’s involved and what thread, needles, etc., to use. This video was very informative…thanks…Pat

    The title of this video should definitely indicate that’s it’s about big stitch quilting and not just “hand quilting,” because the supplies are completely different for each style. Love Corey and love big stitch quilting!

    Great info! Excited to get back into hand quilting. I haven’t done that since the early 90s. Looking forward to the next lesson. I have a quilt top that will be perfect to start on that I’m just finishing up.

    Thanks for the video, the story, showing some cool tools. One tool I am surprised you did not mention. Bees wax. My grandmother swore by it. My teacher swore by it. When I started using it, I quit swearing at my projects quite so much. Bees wax, very helpful. Is there a reason you don't use it? In another matter and only because no one else commented, and because you seemed to ask (sort of). The word you were looking for, I think, is adhere. Adhesive is the sticky stuff on tape, labels and such, which enables the paper, cloth, plastic or other substrate to adhere in place or in your hair if it gets there. I think you were looking for the word adhere, or perhaps stick. Anyway, why no wax and thanks for the video.

    Do you still prefer 505 since it has been reformulated? Great info! Now on to the pillow episode.

      I don't know that I have used the new formula. I buy 505 by the case and haven't needed to purchase any recently. I hope it hasn't changed too much!

  • @rosyc7094

    Good morning. I just found your channel. Is there another good 505 Fixative out there at a more affordable cost, but just as good quality? Here in Canada, it is now almost $19 and change a can, before taxes at Walmart.

    I have a Clover's thimble and after a certain time the leather began to be more loose at the articulation (where your finger folds) of my finger. Is somebody had this problem and what did you do to make it smaller? When I bought it,it was OK!!

    • @tracynail4432
      @tracynail4432 2 роки тому

      Buy one smaller! Or make your own. Leather stretches as it’s used.
