Dis it work. I have a leak rn on my 87 and I don't know the name on the pice that connect the small hose from the throttle body to the radiator hose. That splitter is like a valve and it's leaking

If you live where it's cold this isnt going to be the fix. The channels that flow coolant are supposed to inhibit heat so in the winter you wont crack that super fragile 500 dollar piece of garbage they call a tbi unit. This is literally the only drawback to my z24 first gen d21 (86-90ish) and that CAN be done in southern Florida no doubt. But if you had actual cold starts youd basically be handing that tb unit an asswhooping. Anyone below the Mason dixon probably has this to their advantage. But I do live where it gets cold and this more than likely wouldnt work worth a fuck in the winter where I'm at. I'm 100 miles away from death valley and I'll see 110 all summer and 20 degrees all winter. Glad it worked for you tho. Lucky guy

Maybe the intake manifold gasket. Or the meter is about done with. I really have no idea.

I just tightened the intake bolts a quarter turn. The TBI is full of coolant passages; it could be the manifold gasket, but I have to guess that the leak is inside the throttle body. Just checked everything and headed out for a ride. Because I blocked off all the TB coolant passages, maybe it will dry out eventually. It's a long trip for coolant to get from a gasket leak, up the manifold, up through the mixture heater, and up some more to find the air flow meter.

OH! It's fixed? Awesome! I was starting to worry you had a busted head gasket with that coolant on the MAF.

It's running, but hard to say if it's fixed. I don't understand how coolant is getting all the way up through the intake manifold, up through the mixture heater, past the throttle plates, and into the air flow meter. There is really no smoke from the tail pipe, like it might be burning coolant.

      What's an "under load" problem?

Junior Escareno under load is a term used to Describe the symptoms of the problem so under load is not a problem lol under load is when an engine is under more stress than normal driving like going up hill or when you get a green light ...once the rpms go back to to 1500 or so no under load
