Vader’s might is one of the strongest objective manipulating cards in the game. Especially on counting objectives, it allows Vader to potentially swing The objective four points in a direction. On key positions, intercept the transmissions, and payload, he can kill one thing, force push another thing, might a third, and on top of that score the objective himself. Not to mention operative. Vader has insane engagement range utilizing move, attack, scatter, push, might, move. This allows him to be one of the most effective zoning, control, and objective pieces in the game with that card.
I just realized while watching, if Veers were legal in any Rebel list, he'd be an incredible low-cost commander. Just imagine Veer+Double T-47 or.. Veers passing out recovers to a spent Rebel Captain or Specialist.
Darkness Descends is a staple for Vader at this point. But IMO Vader's Might is one of the strongest cards in the game while Fear and Dead Men is kinda MEH even more so with the recent deflect nerfs.
Agreed on "Fear and Dead Men"... I pretty much take it for the 2 pip, in Vader focused lists, as it is just _slighter_ better than New Ways to Motivate. Thanks for watching and the comment!
So here's what I've purchased so far: 1x Core Set (Rebels vs Empire) 1x Blizzard Force Box 2x Shoretrooper boxes 2x Scout trooper boxes 1x Imperial Specialists box 1x Stormtrooper Upgrade box 1x Vader (Operative) box 1x General Veers box 1x Boba Fett box 1x IG-88 box 1x Upgrade Card Pack 1 Should I still buy those extra Stormtrooper boxes you mentioned at 10:20 ? And should I buy another box of Scouts?
For the Stormtrooper Upgrades I would say yes... For two reasons.. First is the extra heavy units in the box, specifically the RT-97C (1R 3W / R4) and the T-21 (4W / R3 / Critical 2). The RT-97C with your HRU units in Blizzard Force is very good and the T-21 is just a good other option in non-Blizzard lists.. Second to that.. Is the Storm Trooper Specialist. This unit is a 9 cost, 1 more than the additional trooper unit, and gives access to aim and surge tokens. The aim with the Precise keyword on the Storms makes this a "most include" in Stormtrooper Units. The extra box of Scouts is really optional depending on what else you would like to play. If you look at the Tempest Force Battle Force you can run, if I recall, up to 6 units of Scouts. Note these can't be Strike Teams, just the full squads. Hope that helps and thanks for the comment and watching!
@@langerslegion Absolutely, and thank you for the reply! So just to be clear, do I buy 2 boxes of Stormies (the ones with 7 minis)? Or did you mean buy 2 more Imperial Stormtrooper Upgrade Expansion boxes (the one with only 4 minis)? Or do both of those things lol?
But...I love Dewbacks :D anyway i am really new in Legion and this video was helpful many thanks. I never imagine, i need to buy second Vader, only becoause cards etc. Interesting.
Yea... Op Vader comes with some REALLY good cards... You could easily "print and play" the cards... You might only have an issue at a "sanctioned" event...
You can grab the card images from AMGs website... Look up the Op Vader pack and it should so images of the cards... If not there.. you can grab them from Tabletop Admiral.
I wouldn't advice newcomers to start with iden and inferno... they're kinda hard to play effectively and they are expensive units at that too.. same goes for regular scouts even if you get the snipers through them.. In my opinion people are already well set up if they get the core box and the blizzard force, what you didnt mention at all were darktroopers who are really strong. Fully agree on shores being a solid corps unit but cost a bit more and cant be used in blizzard force for example. It seems the upcoming inquisitors might be worth a look as well 'n ya usually cant go wrong with a boba. The stormtrooper upgrades are good but you'd also want 1-2 specialists for the basic imperial officers 'n maybe a med droid.
Thanks for the comment! I was viewing this more in the mid if they got one or the other between the Core Set and Blizzard Force.. Just looking for good ways to "build" from the base of those separate boxes.. Totally agree on the specialists with the Storms.. That is how I "kit" out my Stormtroopers in a "standard" army... Giving out those free aims!
I have one doubt... if you start with the blizzard force box and you need two more stormtrooper boxes and two more bikes... could you take a core set if you can split it with someone or it isn¡'t worth it?
For sure.. The "split the core box" is always a good option but just not something everyone will be able to do... If you can go that route, it can definitely be cost effective!
What do ya'll think? Any changes you would make to these recommendations?

I would recommend the specialists and stormtrooper upgrade, they add a lot of versatility to the core of your army
Totally agree... Thought about including them as a "bonus" for the Core Set addon...

The Generic Imperial Commander, lovingly reffered to as "Becky" is a major value pick for anyone beginning in Empire armies.

@simonbelmont0993 the smaller box with 4 is the upgrade box. It comes with the unique options not found in core set.
@@seanalonzo9244 Thanks for the reply! I now have 2 of the Stormtrooper Upgrade boxes since I asked about it. Is that enough?
