Man I had bassani 33”- 2 1/4” black fishtails and i was SEVERLY disappointed in the sound… my street glide with stock exhaust was louder and sounded better!
You want louder pipes in 1954 there was a set of pipes called Chattanooga piper alot of Hot Rod 54 And 57 had them . First set I seen in 25 years was on Matts Channel . HIS Dad started that Antique Bike Shop in North Carolina . When I remember the Name I willget it to you . But it was on the Hot Rod PanHead it should pop up . Wheels threw Time annd yes its Comesright up

Yes tuning is always recommended when dealing with big air and fuel changed. In this case it’ll mess with both and compression.
