This “comedy” is so brave
Since when did boomers say "therapy bad".I know tons of boomers that have gone to therapy or worked in therapy.Never heard boomers act like this abt therapy.
My dad has tons of trauma from his childhood and anger management issues, as well as what I think it's undiagnosed and untreated depression, he refuses to go to therapy cause he "doesn't need it"
The parents of my best friend screamed at her that shes sick and there's way more problems on this planet to worry about, when she talked to them about her panic attacks and that she wants to see a therapist. There are sadly a lot of parents who don't want that their perfect little dolls got imperfections. And who see therapy as something bad.
My father (64 going on 65) has verbalized that therapists are after only your money and mental treatment isn't necessary because it's "not physical". He did turn out halfway fine and made a conscious effort to refrain from hitting me and my sisters as punishment when we were kids (his own father was a "disciplinarian"), but he still has quite a few backward ideas.
I have a family full of boomers and work with mostly boomers. I’ve never seen any of them go to therapy.
Litterally my father is like this. But you're right everyone's own anecdotes about the things they witness in their life don't apply to everyone all the time

Isn't the underlying point of this video to perhaps convince some people hiding behind tradition and toxic masculinity to reach out for help once in a while and look into therapy? Isn't that the point of the video?
