Yes, but this video isn't about the top 1%. It's about billionaires. A.k.a the top 0.000245% in the US, and they absolutely do not pay their fair share. As mentioned in the video, they often skirt paying taxes entirely.

But how many jobs does one billionaire could ruin if he leaves your country? Countless if they all leave at the same time like some people around here wanted to cause by raising taxes exclusively for the billionaires
They are going to leave no matter what. Currently the us is paying an ungodly amount to keep them here. And that hasn’t stopped them. It is always more useful to get low cost labor and Americans and other 1st world countries expect more than the larger companies are willing to pay.
It’s a lose lose. Our economy and government is at the whim of a few dozen people. Who also have the power to change out laws if the conflict with their interest under the guise of what you said.
The simplest solution is to remove the billionaires or set up a type of guaranteed income.
We have been kicking this can down the road since the 70’s~

There are reasons why they are in America, #1 being we are by far the World's largest economy. If they want to leave, let them. Nowhere else is going to let them get away with the government paying them at tax season.
Sorry, do you think Amazon is going to move all its warehouses to China and pay extremely high tariffs? What about Tesla? Their main source of labor is lithium and cobalt mines in foreign countries already. Corporate infrastructure moves its labor to where labor is cheapest. Which means they are going to exploit children in factories in foreign countries regardless unless we stoop to the same level of unfair labor law. Which we don’t do already btw.
@@Idontknowwhat2type remember France in the early 90’s? They tried to raise the taxes for the economical elite of their country. Result? They had no trouble at all moving to Luxemburg, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or Switzerland. They left behind a lot of unemployment.
They are not going to leave no matter what, because many works require a certain logistic that region/continent matter a lot as well as market and the know how of their workers.
Of course, most manufacturers are now in Chine because their government enslaves their own people and thats hard to compete with, but still… want any more of them to leave based on anger and resentment?

The remaining billionaires will take their money elsewhere and you will have no one to tax. So if it will cause them to leave and take their money to expend somewhere else, what are the pros?

This is crazy. Billionaires have a right to do whatever they want with their money, just like anybody else does.
The point is it shouldn't be their money if they are just basically stealing it from the regular tax payers by not paying taxes at all or just unfair or illegal work practices so they can make a buck by exploiting their fellow man 🤦♂️
