    That big sky shimmer reverb sounds amazing on the first few! I’m impressed. It needs a great sounding source with it! I think Dave knocked it out of the park with the REV2. The best of the Prophet 08, double polyphony, mod matrix, wave shape, sub, effects. Wow.

      That is one of my favorite stock patches, all I changed on that one was the volume of the second layer, to make it a bit more subtle. It's called DCO Chorus. It's supposed a very Juno like patch. Also I used my H9 chorus to make it richer.

    Amazing! You’ve made me decide on getting the Rev 2. Also I love The Midnight!!! Los Angeles is like my favorite song of theirs!!! I have a few questions. First is you have a perfect polysix sounding bass...is that in the presets or did you make that from scratch? And 2nd...can you make dx7 or EP sounds with the Rev2? Thanks!!! You play beautifully!

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  6 років тому +1

      To answer your question, you can do very convincing EP sounds with the rev 2! Also the midnight is one of my favorite bands ever. A while ago I found their song Sunset on a mix and just couldn't stop listening to them! The bass started as a stock sound but I modified it a bit to taste, but you can find that patch as a split called chariots or something. Most of the patches here are modified factory patches with a few customs. My idea was to show what the Rev 2 could do with factory based patches, however, other more recent videos I have show custom patches. As far as the DX7, I haven't tried yet haha. I got the Soundtower editor a while back for this and my OB6 and it really helped me with understanding the synth deeply. Enjoy it and thank you!

      Thanks Uriel! I just bought the Rev 2. i love it! I do have a question. Would you be willing to share these exact presets on this video? or at least sell a pack of these presets? These are amazing! I love those brass/strings sounds you have. I am still trying to learn sound design. So have a ways to go lol.

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  6 років тому +1

      Thank you! It's a mix between some tweaked factory patches and some custom designed. I haven't gotten too deep in the design on the Rev 2 yet, unlike the Peak. I find the peak is just so much easier to design for some reason.

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  5 років тому +6

      I love the big sky! It's such an incredible reverb for both synthesizers and guitars! The way that I am switching so quickly between patches, is that I'm using a disaster area midi switcher. The pedals and the synth are all chained to the disaster area switcher via midi patch. Then the buttons on the switcher will recall patches for all devices at once.

    • @leiruagetro

      Hey! Yes let me check tonight. I actually meant to write Junoesque but my computer screwed it up. It’s actually supposed to sound like a juno 106. I added a few things on that patch to make it a bit more interesting like a bit of slop and some external chorus to make t richer like a juno.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing!
    I guess you're one of the few that got both the Peak and the Rev2 and can give insight about them.
    I've been wanting the Rev2 for the past year (was waiting for it to get released) but then saw the Peak and thought it fits better and delivers more.
    A very important point to me is that i can get the Peak for cheaper as i don't have to pay extra for shipping/customs and vat like i do for the Prophet.
    My main concern is that, although i don't want vintage sounds, (maybe a bit), I love the flexibility of the Peak, however in all videos, I tend to notice how "musical" the Prophet is, whether most videos on youtube show the peak as stabs, sounds and the like.
    I know your take on both and how you believe the peak is a designers heaven. but do you think it's as musical?
    I'm a pianist/keyboarding and love the monotimbrality of the Prophet, however the desktop format of the peak is also very attractive.
    thank you for shedding some light, as i've been on hold because things are a bit messed up with that choice.

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  6 років тому +1

      Have you seen my song demo for the Peak? I used only the peak for everything except for the drums. The noise, arps and basses on the peak are my favorite. They are just so amazing. ua-cam.com/video/25Ys_tHS670/v-deo.html

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  6 років тому

      The biggest concern I had was how to play the Peak Live, however in this Rev 2 video I put a picture of my setup, I use my Rev2 hard case, at 0.05 you can see it. The Prophet is my ultimate performance synth, it syncs perfectly into my midi rig which is why I love it so much, I haven't tried that with my peak yet, however for me I wouldn't mind the peak as my sole performance synth, I just would have to spend more money for a quality midi controller. and a stand for the synth.

    • @JoeHannouch
      @JoeHannouch 6 років тому +1

      Thanks for the reply.
      Been listening to more demos online, and honestly i do feel that the Rev2 is more musical as it offers splits and as a keyboard player i do get to use that a lot.
      I'm considering the Rev2 desktop in that case. But i do lose the power of the Peak and the multiple filter setup of it.
      Great video

    • @leiruagetro
      @leiruagetro  6 років тому
