I feel like Dave built this synth especially for me. It’s truly the greatest analog poly within a stretching reach of the average consumer. If I hear a sound from the OBX or any other synth I can always dial it up and if I don’t nail it completely I get damn close. Wonderful synth and I’ll never sell mine.
I just got a prophet rev 2 16 voices yesterday. When i took it home from the store and installed it in my home and wanted to play it suddenly the phone ring. My company needed me to come and work for some hours. They needed extra hands. Now i have to wait until i arrive again. It's a little bit frustracting having it home and don't have the time to play it................ Until now.....
Dude, that sounds like the tenth circle of hell or something, there is no way I would even set foot outside that house without at least hearing one or two presets
focusrite probably paid $500,000,000 for Sequential. it will take them decades to get their money back before they even start making a profit (if they ever do)
How can I get the Prophet 08 sound bank loaded on my Rev 2? Supposedly it can be used in the Rev 2 also, but I can't find the presets. Are they on the Dave Smith website?
Theres no difference, when Dave Smith reacquired the rights to the Sequential brand they went back to using that. It's still the same hardware made by the same people at the same company.
The interviewer has a very feminine voice... buttery smooth, soft... sonorous, and yet lilting... conveying a sense of vulnerability and innocence, even as it seduces... a veritable kiss in the desert at midnight...
Got a Mopho, Pro 2, Pro 3 and a Rev 2. DSI and ASM are easily my favorite current companies. Rev 2 is planned to be my new tour synth whenever touring becomes a thing again. Korg has some cool ideas but the build is terrible and ultimately I end up liking the idea of them better than the actual sound of them. Roland seems to have just given up on coming up with anything. A certain brand that does nothing but make cheap rip-offs got old really quick. Especially for anyone that has real vintage synths. DSI and ASM are doing great things and make me excited for new synths again.
Why oh why does the Prophet 6 sound so much more powerful than the Rev2? The feature set on the Rev2 is so top notch. But then you hear them side by side and...
Fully analogue VCOs and a nicer filter design. The Rev2 can still sound fantastic, and of course has way more modulation options, but the raw sound quality of the newer designs is clear.
Real nice answer. Les Pauls and Moogs are stupid too apparently. If you educated yourself you'd also know that his original choice was Sequential Circuits.
Alex Jones seems to dig synths a lot.
Lmao

Larry David and Jeff Garlin.
Great video 👍
Fast forward to today and the Rev2 is $2599 not $1999. That's crazy.

Inflation is a terrible thing. Destroys economies and nations.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has no knobs on his poly evolver rack.

Hi, is there any difference between Dave Smith Rev2 and the one with “sequential” name on the right hand side ?

That’s so beautifully poetic that used in jest on this test subject it almost seems a war crime.

Dude definitely caught an STI (Synthesizer Transmitted Infection), probably using unprotected TS cables I'd wager.
The interviewer needs to quit smoking.
Ever heard of congenital throat problems? Not always caused by smoking.
James Reeno he did
Instrumentalists Jade could have fooled me.

Lower the price -_- man this thing is like 2G's.
at start 08 was 1999 ,too
its worth it especially as not made in China. An 8 voice desktop version will save alot too
Ameretsu Shidori 16 voices bro.
hey man, all good really, but there is one serious mistake you did. Your name on it is quite stupid idea.
his name is the brand don't all synths have the brand name on it
nerver seen this kind of stupid sentence.
Real nice answer. Les Pauls and Moogs are stupid too apparently. If you educated yourself you'd also know that his original choice was Sequential Circuits.
that doesn't make any changes on my opinion. oh, one more idiot here.
Name name name? Ok tell jc penney not to put his name..
