I Love to see this stuff, real hunting. The way us blue collar boys do it. not sitting in a big comfy blind, over a big food plot, with a decoy and a $2000 gun lol
I love how THP films a real reality hunt. It's not the stuff you used to see on tv where it was just perfect footage everytime. Yall actually show it from a perspective that 99% of us see when we are out in the woods. Always amaze me with the filming you guys capture. Good luck on the rest of the tour!
Congratulations guys! Florida certainly is a completely different animal as far as how you hunt traditionally. Good stuff for guys who aren’t from the south, especially Fla.
Bringing back memories.....used to canoe down the same North Florida river turkey hunting 40 years ago, just like you guys did here, fun times for sure.
CONGRATS JAKESTER! When Zach was filming you owl hoot and you had on the headband light, you looked like someone in an exercise video from the 80's!🤣🤣 You all be safe and good luck, Cubby
Great hunt guys. I hope you enjoyed my home state. It’s has a very unique, harsh and beautiful landscape. It’s definitely not the easiest place to hunt. Good luck on the rest of the tour. I’ll be watching. 👍
@@ohhunter1995 yes it does you learn a lot about what to do and what not to do. How to approach certain situations. How to find sign etc. Somebody who’s never turkey hunted before can learn so much from their videos.

So glad ya shot. I know this is a job for you fellas and the footage matters but you guys put the work in for that bird and it was your last day. Great video. Great adventure.
Lyme is no joke. I thought I was crazy careful with ticks, always checked my body or had my wife check. When I got bit I would check for bullseye( which I found out later means nothing). It took almost a year of getting random fevers, being achy, and just miserable before I got tested. I was arrogant and thought there's no way I had lyme, but was wrong. Any doubts just get tested.

I still got in trouble plenty but i think id been much worse if i didn't have them gobblers to get after once a year What a bird they are, Thank u Jesus
When Jake said, "I don't think this is a good idea" starting across that log, I remembered once that I tried the same only to hear it crack in the center. Thought we were going to see more than.a wet turkey!
Do a video on how you guys field prep a bird what you keep and what you leave since your on the road. I’d be interested to see how you keep your beards, fans and spurs if at all
That’s got to be intimidating to go far from home on land you’ve never set foot on and try and harvest big game animals. You all obviously do your homework but I’m sure you have to learn a lot on the fly as well. It all speaks volumes of the commitment and skills you guys posses. Thanks for the videos. Good luck in the turkey woods and Godspeed.

As a hunter for one the tough turkey hunting yall have experienced so far this year makes me feel even more involved in the hunt. and im sittin here yellin at my phone just shoot it jake shoot it haha. I dont care so much that you get the shot on camera just wanted yall to have a successful hunt. a double would habe been even better, hope yall get a chance to film one soon. I always wanna chime in, whish yall did some live streaming so we can chat with yall id love to sit sown and talk hunting with yall one day.
Went trout fishing today and got about ten yards away from four strutters and then seen three all white turkeys. Only one was a tom though. Biggest trout of the day was a 14 inch brookie
Hey, so the little groups of ticks you were asking about are a cluster of male ticks surrounding a female tick that is taking a blood meal. The males group around the female to mate with her on their host animals (Turkey in this case). Glad to hear you guys use permethrin...stuff works great. Great video.
Speaking for myself i think you guys and all your personalities would be great content fishing as well..🐔🐷🐰🐟... I think a lot of us would watch THP fishing, hunting camping or whatever 👍💯😂
Spay and hand held tick marrow don't leave home with out them . Also I don't carry turkey over my shoulder, will drag or out on gun barrel over shoulder . Birds have mites also .
Gentlemen absolutely love your channel the footage of the trials and tribulations of public hunting from camping to the kill !!! Was wondering if you could share some in-depth footage of set ups and when and when not to call ??? I’m a Maryland turkey hunter and have been successful in the past but always nice to learn different techniques!! One thing I have noticed in your vids when you have a bird approaching it’s coming down your barrel straight on if he drifts left or right you get yourselves stuck with mobility. Technique I’ve learned in set up is set up sideways!?!? I’m a left handed shooter so I put my right shoulder towards the bird so I have greater range of mobility or to swing my gun !! Anyways keep up the great work and awesome content and don’t stop the flop !!!!
Always take clothes off after and do tick checks. Permethrin is key for sure! I already have already removed 2 ticks from my pants when the temp was 38 degrees just looking for sheds in NY state. Nice hunt. You were def in the thick stuff. Looked like tick heaven in there for sure. Nice video and hunt. Be safe out there and keep on using that permethrin. Maybe consider getting your hair out of the way. Those ticks are in branches so easy to get in your hair then to your head. Hard to find at that point. Always shower if u can after then hunt. If close to home put clothes right in the dryer for 30 mins. Will kill the ticks
I'm in central Wisconsin had 4, 25+ pound Tom's cross into my yard headed for a hay field, I put my kids on the bus which pushed em outta the yard so I quick threw on camo and a chest pack to creep around see how close I could get... buggers flew into trees after while to locate the call sounds... spooked a Jake and Tom, never seen that before... smart bastards lol
I used to hunt in tick country in the NE. Tuck your pants in your boots and keep your shirt tucked in. Spray your hunting clothes with permethrin a few times a season. You don't want them to attach to an area you can't see, if you know what I mean. I had Lyme two times. The antibiotic knocks it out quick but it can mess up your life if you don't notice the tick. My hunting buddy lost over 50% of his hearing. He caught it early enough so it was treatable. When you live in a heavy tick area doctors are on the look out for symptoms. It wouldn't hurt to get a blood test when you have odd symptoms or have been bitten. One more thing, be careful you don't crush the tick taking it off.
I thought you would do better here in NW Florida. River bottoms be better than those South FL swamps. We've got it here - boonies, beaches, and babes. Nice hunt.
Nice mullet Jake, you kinda looked like Rambo first thing in the morning in the camera light. Laughing..... Anyhow great series of videos to start off the Turkey tour. Every since you guys have been talking about permepherin iv been doing quite a bit of research on it and ended up buying a big bottle of it cause it's pet friendly and am looking for to this summer knowing it works cause after last year's tick run ins on my dog I needed to find something that works. Off to bama now and less thing's that can eat you anyways so as always be safe and stay healthy my friend. Good luck fellas.
Hey, if you ever get the chance, come to Sylacauga in talladega county and go to the water shed's, it's right across the road from Hollin's WMA , we are the end of the appalachian mountains off hwy 148
Sounds Lots of wood ducks on that river! Would be sweet to see ubyuys hunt nore waterfowl on public land while ur in a state to deer hunt!! Live u guys vids, NEVER disappoint!!!
The other thing to worry about with those ticks is alpha gal syndrome. Creates an allergy to red meat that can be very serious! Awesome hunts though! Love y’all’s approach to hunting.
What I love about this channel is how wholesome it is. The only bleeping ever used is to protect their location.
Lol there’s 3 rivers that it could be only one is that small
@@334outdoors8 And running next to public land. A little research and it's all open, but I get what they do and how they choose to do it.

I guess you didn’t catch the clues lol
Anybody else duck hunters and couldn’t help but listen to the woodies a few times
Seen a ton of mallards and woodies trout fishing today. Seen some blue wings too

Thats tough hunting i would be freaking out about snakes and gators the entire time I wouldn't be able to handle it lol 🦉🦃👊
