Congratulations boys! I got my first Turkey ever this past weekend and I have to give you a big thank you for all the pointers. Don't think I could have done it without your help!
6:40 - that plant is called Wax Myrtle. You can usually find it in good deer and turkey habitat down here. Bucks also love to tear it up when they are actively marking territory.
First turkey of the 2021 turkey tour! I can not wait for my upcoming season! This is hands down going to be the best turkey tour/hunting series on UA-cam! Love these guys and videos!
Zach exactly how you're holding your flashlight down by your leg and covering it with a couple fingers is EXACTLY how my uncle taught me to walk into the deer woods in Michigan. Great video as always boys 🤘🤘🇺🇸
Incredible how tough it was to start but the very first tom that gobbled and responded to the call got shot. Zach never ceases to amaze me great job! 🙏
Big congrats to Zach. I have been hunting in this same region for many years. Hunting down here isn't the same as Central Florida where people pay for their Osceola. It isn't like anywhere else in the U.S. You have to earn a bird on public land in South Florida and you made it happen. Thousands of others have tried their luck and went home empty handed. You sir are a savage! Can't wait to watch the rest of Turkey Tour 2021!
A big time congratulations to Zach (as well as Jake and the THP) on your North American Wild Turkey Grand Slam. I hope to do that some year. I got a late start on getting my first Eastern after a decade or more of close calls and no action days back in 2019 with my Dad who called for me. Now time to get my first with a bow after I hopefully put one down with my shotgun. Typical Zach hunt with crawling, stalking, heart pounding close range action. Good job once again Zach and Jake.
Awesome job guys! That hawk swoop was sweet. I've been in a situation with a goshawk before. Swooping, calling and following us through the woods as we were searching for turkeys. We ended up getting a turkey that day too. Awesome experience.
My wife looked at me funny when I jumped out of bed saying “YES HE GOT ONE” Went into the living room and had to watch the episode before bed! Awesome job guys!
I have NEVER fast forwarded a THP video on the first watch to get to the kill...this one was almost the first! Lesson learned - persistence pays off! Congrats
Great video, great hunt and I’ve spooked turkeys off the roost one time with a red lens headlamp. It was so dark when I shut the light off I couldn’t walk in the woods. I rarely use even a red Lens but it’s better then getting a sharp stick in the eye!
Had no doubt guys , I was there at the same time but on the beach. Wanted to be chasing turkeys but can’t mix a family vacation with hunting and do either one justice. Waiting for MO and WI seasons. Now for Ted & Jake to fill their tags.
Finally got my osceola last spring on the 2nd time down from Michigan. That's what you gotta find is the oak hammocks with enough shade to keep the ground open underneath. And I found they typically roost over the cypress swamps and can usually have plenty of room to walk/scratch around the edges of those so if you can find a cypress swamp with an open oak hammock right next to it, that's the ticket. The spot I found on public eventually was so incredibly hidden and untouched from other hunters and was so phenomenal it looked like a private managed property. I came close in other spots but once I found that I killed my bird the next morning there.
Congrats. Would of loved to have seen a good look at his beard and spurs. Always leaves me wondering what he had, although it didn't matter. What a reward for such a tough hunt.
Great hunt! That shrub you were talking about early in the video looks like Wax Myrtle, also known as Southern Bayberry, although I cannot see it close enough to tell for sure. That is definitely the right kind of habitat.
Congratulations on the bird guys. The Osceola is the top of the “Grand Slam”. Just gotta say a couple things. The Bush you were wondering about is a “Myrtle”. When you think a Osceola is about 500yds, it’s probably only about 100yds. The sound here doesn’t carry like it does in the terrain you are used to. Next time, use a Thermocell for the Florida state bird ( mosquito). The hawk diving down on you was cool. Been here my whole life (58yrs) and never had that happen. The other hawk you guys filmed was a Swallow Tailed Hawk. They are very pretty hawks. I hunt farther north and we see eagles a lot. Pretty cool. Good luck guys on the rest of your hunt.
Way to stay after them gobblers fellas, it had to work out for ya one of these mornings. I'd say that Florida looks like it's been one of the most challenging states so far to find the birds. Congrats anyhow on another well earned bird. As always be safe and stay healthy my friend.
This was one of the most intense/suspenseful turkey hunts I've ever seen on UA-cam!!! lol.. Congrats on your first Osceola & Grand Slam!!! They definitely made you guys work for it. 💯💯💯
That one that flew off had me baffled momentarily, then I realized it was a THPer pulling the trigger.... Congratulations guys on another great hunt/video.
I could almost feel the pressure. Once you were on him, should I move should I call. After that many days of hunting to get it done. That is the best way to cook um. I like it cut in to turkey strips and rolled in pleasoning breading mix don't over cook. Comes in three and half pound container and made in Lacrosse Wisconsin. I am lucky to live right across the river in God's country. MINNESOTA. Hunt on
So for a tip for the head lights u can put them in your hand and cover them up but leave a small hole in your fingers that is big enough for u to see but not the turkeys to see. :)
That was a sick hunt man!!! I live close by and hunt that area pretty often, so i understand how hard it is to locate birds in a place like this, so expansive. Congrats on a good looking Osceola!!!!
Love you guys I learned a lot of hunting washing your video as me as Old timer learning a lot of new stuff keep up the good work and keep those videos coming
Awesome hunt, glad to see y'all finally pull it off. Looks like it's been tough going. Opening weekend here in Talbot county GA was a tough one. Only heard a few birds off of our property. Windy and cold had things quite around here. Glad to get home and see y'all finally had some success. Congrats THP.
Now you.boys know where to go next year if you go. Saw a guy towing a pontoon cabin boat yesterday and thought about you guys. I was thinking that's what I need to hunt the lake in my area where there is a ton of public around the lake and adjacent to it. Then I thought, that's what those guys on the THP need!!!!
i guess one can go places & kill turkeys w/o a lotta work. it's mostly walkin', lookin' & listenin'. the turkeys are ready when they're ready. great fun regardless!!!
The shots with the mosquitoes swarming zachs head while not hearin gobbles was the most accurate description of Florida turkey hunting I’ve ever seen!
I agree
Looked miserable! I'm sure its worth it!
I thought they were Bees at first
100% accurate statement!
I’m from New York and the last few weeks of turkey season in the spring is like that I can’t stand them
Congratulations boys!
I got my first Turkey ever this past weekend and I have to give you a big thank you for all the pointers.
Don't think I could have done it without your help!
Thousand views every ten minutes so far. Holy moly. Shows how great it is what you guys are doing! Congrats and continued success to you boys
i agree dan!

Even Max Kellerman in here showing love!
Nice work dudes! That is a great accomplishment!

That looked like Tosohatchee WMA as it is almost identical in all aspects.
If the hunting public was a family.

Dad:Greg

That’s so accurate
Not sure what made you think of this but it’s extremely accurate

Guess that oak tree comment from that guy was spot on. congrats boys!
Sweeet!!!
When you tackle an Osceola, you've tackled the one of the hardest..They are mean, nasty and tough as nails..
Congratulations!!!
Like it that you guys show the good bad and ugly of a hunt. Not all Turkey hunts go as planned or as you think they should. Good job
Congrats on the first turkey of the tour! Many more to come 🦃!!
Awesome job guys!
That hawk swoop was sweet. I've been in a situation with a goshawk before. Swooping, calling and following us through the woods as we were searching for turkeys. We ended up getting a turkey that day too. Awesome experience.
Picked up my turkey tag yesterday up here in Ohio looking forward to next month when spring season starts
Congratulations Zach on your grand slam that's an achievement to be proud of. Great hunt good video as always
Congrats on the turkey Zack! Keep up the good work guys excited to see what the rest of the tour will bring.
Congrats guys. Has been a tough season so far, but you guys have stuck with it and got the job done. All turkey hunters need to learn these lessons!
I don’t need to watch all of this to know this will be another great video by The Hunting Public!
Starting the tour off with great content. What a hunt. Congrats zach and jake. Hope you can get on some more.
I loved Zach's turkey stomp dance. Laughed I did. We knew you all would get it done.
My wife looked at me funny when I jumped out of bed saying “YES HE GOT ONE”
Went into the living room and had to watch the episode before bed! Awesome job guys!
I need a hunting buddy like zach high paced intense moving/stalking styles of hunting. Zach is the man
I have NEVER fast forwarded a THP video on the first watch to get to the kill...this one was almost the first! Lesson learned - persistence pays off! Congrats
1:09 Thought that rabbit was a kangaroo 😂 Congratulations on the Slam Zach!
Zach you and Jake are the best spot and stalk hunters there are that I've ever seen

You boys earned that one. Reminds me of Aaron and Zacks elk hunts. So epic. Keep it up boys !
Congrats guys way to start off the season it will only get better from now. Good luck to everyone hope its a great spring for you all.
Had no doubt guys , I was there at the same time but on the beach. Wanted to be chasing turkeys but can’t mix a family vacation with hunting and do either one justice. Waiting for MO and WI seasons. Now for Ted & Jake to fill their tags.
Congratulations Zach, great hunt, you guys really earned that bird. The music at the end was especially great Jim, fit the video perfectly.
Great job on the camera Jake! Zach got his grand slam!
Just realized Zach's hair makes a perfect gillie suit.
My buddies say that if turkeys could smell like whitetails, you'd probably never kill one. Worked hard for that one.
i believe that wholeheartedly!!
Had to go back for this one...busy couple of days but it didn't disappoint! Can't wait to see what's next.

Best soundtrack Jim has ever made, you know it was a good vid when you hear that at the end!
Great hunt! That shrub you were talking about early in the video looks like Wax Myrtle, also known as Southern Bayberry, although I cannot see it close enough to tell for sure. That is definitely the right kind of habitat.
Alrightee. The whole THP nations has been pulling for youall. Show us the turkey beard and spurs!
Congrats guys! Way to stick with it! You guys rock - a lot people don’t realize getting everything on camera is a lot of work.
I was crawling around and ducking along with you the whole time!!!
EXCITING TIMES!!!!!
All that hard scouting and hunting paid off!! So glad you boys got 1!! This is awesome stuff!! Cant wait to see what else unfolds this spring!!
Jakes like why you leaving? I got one here by camp bed and breakfast gobbler lol
Keep it real guys and the strategy knowledge for rookies like me is a plus! Thanks!

Swallow tailed kite, itn it? And second bird was maybe a red shouldered hawk
@@12390erock yes, you are correct.

Awesome awesome awesome. You boys earned that bird. They’re starting to get fired up in the morning here in WV
Women at Bed, Bath and Beyond: "You gotta smell this!"
Men finding bear crap in the woods: "You gotta smell this!"
😆 🤣 😂
Funniest thing was when Jake was done smelling it, he handed the turd back. You can tell he was raised well.
Congratulations Zach! Slammed out!! I hope whoever has tags gets on one I definitely enjoyed watching! First bird down 2021 kicking off right!!!
That one that flew off had me baffled momentarily, then I realized it was a THPer pulling the trigger....

Going on my first serious turkey hunt in the morning here in GA. yall get me pumped with these videos
Snuck up on 6 today while scouting one of my public tags, didn't see a longbeard, but super stoked none the less.
I thought I was an aggressive turkey hunter. I was telling you guys to stay put constantly. Awesome hunt guys welcome to Florida!

Y’all’s ability to keep pushing is unbelievable
Congrats Zack and the team! You guys do a hell of a job with the content. Keep up the good work as always
Awesome congratulations! You guys busted your butts off for that bird honestly made my day when I seen a nice tail fan spread in that thumbnail!
He needs to get him a Gould Turkey in Arizona to have all 5 birds
That slo-mo hair flip was legendary

Great bird! Love the videos! First season trying to shoot a Turkey, learning so much from your videos.
Good shit boys!!
I was pumped for yall on this one.
Well deserved. Definitely earned that one.
Congrats. We finally opened yesterday. So let the chasing begin. Yesterday and today had gobblers skirt all over me.
I’m pretty sure those are laurel oaks too I was a tree trimmer for around 8.5-9 years couldn’t really tell in the vid but I’d say that’s what they are
Get’er done fellas! Congrats Zach!
Awesome nice job Zach! Hard work pays off ! great video
Might need to find a new hiding spot for ur keys now lol.
CONGRATS!! EARNED HIM FOR SURE!!! Found them in their Pinhoti!! Lol
