Hey Kira! So sorry you went through this! I am a very small channel and not close to being monetized, but I put Soo much time into filming and editing only to get little to no growth or views. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about stopping and when I hear stories like this, with all the rules and everything that they make you follow, it kind of confirms that I'll keep my day job, LOL. At this point, I'm creating videos for my OWN entertainment (and the few that watch faithfully) and that approach is keeping me from stressing about the other stuff (subscribers, consistency, etc..) Thanks for sharing your experience though, 'cause there are a lot of people who need to hear it

Wow. I’m so sorry this happened to you! It’s very common though. I watch a lot of reaction channels and I take note on how they repost other ppl’s content. They typically post the fair use disclaimer at the start of their videos and “transform” the original content by adding screen changes or interrupting the original content after a certain minute mark. Also (as I’m sure you already know), copyrighted music can cause you to get dinged too depending on what the UA-cam bots catch (I think the bots are the first line of “defense” for strikes and stuff like that). However, some content is strongly trademarked where it’s dang near impossible to reuse the content at all. And while others may not get caught, others do 😢. But we live and we learn! God still looked out for you and used you to help others who may come across the same issue. Keep pushing! And like you said, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You are super talented and you deserve to be across many platforms. Don’t ever let your light be dimmed ✨. You should know these social media platforms don’t take too highly to “us” so we have to think outside the box and make ish happen regardless. Sorry for the long dissertation 😂, but your content and personality truly uplifts ppl’s day (definitely mine 😊) and it’s very informative. We all here to see you win sis and THAT you shall continue to do ❤.

Hey Kira! So sorry you went through this! I am a very small channel and not close to being monetized, but I put Soo much time into filming and editing only to get little to no growth or views. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about stopping and when I hear stories like this, with all the rules and everything that they make you follow, it kind of confirms that I'll keep my day job, LOL.
At this point, I'm creating videos for my OWN entertainment (and the few that watch faithfully) and that approach is keeping me from stressing about the other stuff (subscribers, consistency, etc..)
Thanks for sharing your experience though, 'cause there are a lot of people who need to hear it

Wow. I’m so sorry this happened to you! It’s very common though. I watch a lot of reaction channels and I take note on how they repost other ppl’s content.
They typically post the fair use disclaimer at the start of their videos and “transform” the original content by adding screen changes or interrupting the original content after a certain minute mark. Also (as I’m sure you already know), copyrighted music can cause you to get dinged too depending on what the UA-cam bots catch (I think the bots are the first line of “defense” for strikes and stuff like that).
However, some content is strongly trademarked where it’s dang near impossible to reuse the content at all. And while others may not get caught, others do 😢. But we live and we learn! God still looked out for you and used you to help others who may come across the same issue.
Keep pushing! And like you said, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You are super talented and you deserve to be across many platforms. Don’t ever let your light be dimmed ✨. You should know these social media platforms don’t take too highly to “us” so we have to think outside the box and make ish happen regardless.
