Find six flies that catch fish and don’t over complicate things, this is so very true, best advice ever
Nice fishing in UK...great..i like that place..beautiful....👍
Thank you 👍
Lovely footage! Quiet like that fly box too!
There's only 2 small chalk streams in England. River Test and river Itchen and could cost 400 USD for a day ticket. The trout is stocked and usually up to 2lb.
A delightful video and very informative. Thank you
Love the Avon. Great video too.
nice vidéo good fish

Excellent vid, I believe you Brits would say,'brilliant '.Costs are shocking, we'll have to enjoy said fishing vicariously.
The Best Job in the World.
Wonderful...
Nice fishing
Thanks for watching
What breaking strain tippets do you use?
Was wondering because of the small size of fish if you used smaller tippets.
Wonderfull Nick. I am about to visit England next year. Can you advise on great big trout rivers with advice, ie Gilly, Where, and accomadation available. Any help appreciated. Great Video. Tight Lines.
Where about in the UK are you staying?
The river "Avon", looks the real thing.
The River Wye and Usk around the Breckons hold some cracking fish
Give me a shout nik@famousfishing.co.uk
Is the river Avon an exclusive river to fish or are the day tickets offered affordable?
A lot of comments about the prices. Unfortunately in the UK we have a lot of people per acre, if these gorgeous streams were a free for all they would be decimated by oiks like me! Land is very much at a premium and in areas like this it is available only to the very wealthy and wealthy people price things to attract other wealthy people. It's the same as any premium brand really. Not saying I like that or agree with it, but I can accept it.
Taký rybár a nevie z háčika dať dolu rybu, bez toho aby ju chytil.... takto ju len vyváľa v tráve chúda a potomu ju púšťa... to že púšťa je fajn :) len mohol by opatrnejsie aby ju nepopálil...ryba ma teplotu vody cca 15°C a človek má 37....
nice river.
So most Uk trout streams are not free to fish regardless of them being stocked or wild?
You have to pay for most UK rivers, but there are some free ones, you just need to do your research.
techsecmedia is that because most streams are owned by clubs? I ask this because in the US trout stocking is maintained by the state and is free
potatoe467 I am generalising, but most rivers have "fishing rights" these can be owned by land owners, clubs, syndicates or individuals.
I understand, thanks
200 pound a day.. thats why i love my pike on the fly. I have been fishing in Patagonia and from dun to dusk and paid half of that to a guide.
Ye I totally agree. It's anything from £100 to £500 to unlimited a day.. Pretty stupid. It's a drag when you just want to go fish but it's out of your reach. Best to head to Spain, France etc.
This is pretty and all, but man am I glad I live in the U.S. I love our public lands and waters. A guy shouldn't have to pay an exorbitant fee for nature...
You can really tell how the difference in attitudes and politics between the USA and western europe stems from the fact that the US was only relatively recently populated by permanent settlers. An abundance of resources for a very low density population. If a guy didn't have to pay an exorbitant fee for nature here in the UK there'd be no nature left.
Brilliant
Outrageous!!! How on earth do you have to pay to fish a moving body of water, how is it even allowed to divide up a river into "estates"? Disgusting! Water is everyone's, it's not only the richmen's!
This it how things works in UK. One river and different stretches are "owned" by different clubs. Every mile different club left bank one club other bank is run by some another club. And prices for some stretches are ridiculous. Stupidity there has no limits
And you have to pay for healthcare
it's ridiculously expensive
The price of the license is okay but 150 pounds a day! Yikes, that is $194 US dollars plus the guide fee and tip. Nice fishing but not worth the price for my liking.
