For the price range of these buffets, the reason their price is so high so as compared to the quality is because they mostly focus more on quantity rather than quality. mas mabilis maenganyo ang pinoy sa dami kesa sa quality, realtalk.
8:03 that purple dessert is called binignit in cebuano, in tagalog we call it ginatan or bilobilo. The puple color came from purple yam or ube, it has glutinous rice balls, banana saba, sweet potato, jackfruit, tapioca pearls, taro and cassava cooked in a sweetened coconut milk. There is a white version of it without the purple yam. It’s my favorite filipino dessert. This dessert is always available in Hyehwa-dong Seoul at the Philippine Sunday Market so whenever I crave for Filipino foods I just go there on Sunday.
I don't really care about the food, but I'm most envious about the fact he went there during Christmas, the best time to be in the Philippines. Anyway, hope you had a good one, Tito Jimmy!
BRO i just stumbled upon your channel, best thing that has ever happened in the last 4 years of my great depression. Keep up the content! cant wait till your channel blows up with millions of subs!
Hi Jimmy! The purple dessert is called "bilo bilo". It is a sweet sticky rice balls with fruits (sweet potatoes, sometimes banana, and tapioca pearls. They are not usually purple but if they put ube or food coloring, then it must be why. Hope this helps ya.

Violet stuff is made of coconut milk with sugar sweet potatoes. Taro, bananas, jackfruit and rice balls that are like rice cakes Try SPIRAL BUFFET AT SOFITEL
picollo blood is called ube bilo bilo. a purple yum flavor with a mixed of jackfruit, banana, sweet potato and some mochi texture balls also it has a clear boba called sago. bilo bilo is sweet because of coconut milk and milk also sugar.
Not from the Philipines, but that soup is most likely Purple Yam/Sweet Potato/Ube. It's also served in Vietnam and China, but each have their own things added to it. In China, it's treated similar to Mung Bean/Red Bean soup. The Philipines is the only place I know that also has it as a jam.
That Lechon Kawaii and Lechon Baka was so hilarious! I'm kind of triggered they spelled my country name "Singaporean" wrong, I still prefer the cheapest buffet! looks super value for money!
i've been a fan since your deadlyjimmy days and as a fellow filipino and valorant player i must say that i miss ur valorant content and it feels good that you visited the philippines
Hey Jimmy! You definitely should try restaurants and food only available in CEBU. Danidoo Waffles, Dimsum Break, Proben(street food) and Sunburst(Local Chicken Diner). I'm flying to cebu next month just to have another taste of it😂
As someone who grew up in Cebu, I've always associated Sunburst with our local food scene. But recently, I discovered that it actually started in Iligan City in 1971 😆
I cracked when I heard "It looks like Piccolo's blood". Now I can't unsee that and probably will remember that for the rest of my life. I'd laugh whenever I see that dish and remember this vlog. Thank you.
tbh as a local, me and most of the people I know prefer Buffet 101 than that branch of Vikings. I haven't tried the other branches of Vikings but from videos I've seen, they seem be way better than the branch here. Also, I prefer the buffet in Nustar than in Marco Polo but it's probably just recency bias since I love both.
Come to India, Kolkata, I'll give you tour of best buffet in India.... You'll enjoy it things are affordable and cheap yet tastiest than any other states.
OMG 😂 ☠️ "I just find it extra liberating when the drinks are included in the buffet, too. This must be how an american person feels every day. Like, you feel freedom, but you're actually paying a lot of money for it." HAHAHAHA
Hello Jimmy, my in laws for Thanksgiving serve turkey and ham and I go for the ham everytime. They even make ham gravy in addition to turkey gravy where the ham gravy is a bit saltier and I think it tastes better too. I wish we had those kind of buffets in America because then they would be worth it. Most buffets if I can even find one near me are 15-20 something dollars and they serve like 10 main entress and a couple of desserts-so not worth it.
Vikings Buffet where even for most Filipino's is expensive enough is the "cheapest" here 😭. Anyways, hoped you enjoyed your stay here in Cebu, unfortunately didn't get to see you here but maybe next time when you come here 😁.
Please go to Iloilo city and try LA PAZ BATCHOY. It's a traditional noodle dish that rich in flavour and the ingredients are superb!! You missed the opportunity to witness the festival there.
lol when Jimmy ignores the weird sushi kombos. We also have those in Europe but there is still some sashimi too. I recommend to still try the crispy tempura chicken sushi and smoked salmon sushi with teriyaki sauce on top. Yummy.
As a middle-class Filipino, I could say with absolute certainty that Vikings is *not* a family/budget buffet. 😂 Honestly pretty disappointed last time we went there since the food quality kind of dropped in the one we went to, this branch looks promising though.
Damn, you were in Cebu! I've been following you for a while since I stumbled upon your Korean internet cafe video. Wish I could've met you in person since I live in Cebu. Anyway, very much enjoy your content! Hope you had a blast
Desserts in buffet are most often underwhelming, as a dessert lover myself. Even Sofitel's Spiral was so-so but their Asian spread is quite good. Very expensive though.
Hey Jimmy, can you show us in some video what do you mean by "good looking" and "bad looking" sushi? I am from a landlocked country, all sushi looks like sushi to me and I wouldn't know the difference 😣 It would be cool if you showed us what to look for!
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻I tried Viking buffet in Cebu and I think is great value and drinks wine and beer is included. But I tried the expensive buffet in Sofitel Manila and I was disappointed so much the lobster shrimp and seafood was overcooked and dry but the sushi and sashimi was delicious
I'm glad that Jimmy was honest with the many things he didn't like with the food served at the buffets he went to here in the Philippines. 11:08 "One thing I wasn't impressed by was their Filipino food." 11:35 "It seems that many of the food items here, it looks nice but doesn't quite taste nice." 18:00 "Maybe I'll have some of their sushi but never mind, it doesn't look very good, like it's not even worth an experiment." 20:48 "This is enough to know that you probably don't want to try sushi when you go to a buffet in Cebu."
Appreciate the honesty. By Philippine standards, those prices are excessive given the quality of the food.
For the price range of these buffets, the reason their price is so high so as compared to the quality is because they mostly focus more on quantity rather than quality. mas mabilis maenganyo ang pinoy sa dami kesa sa quality, realtalk.

Bilo2x originated in Cebu, the official name is Binignit. Luzoneros copied and renamed it. lol.

Merry Christmas! I'll have to visit Cebu someday.

Vikings is like the staple buffet to most of the Filipinos aside from Cabalen. They could be more affordable than the others while offering promos too

For me, the most luxurious buffet in Cebu is the shangrila mactan

Hey Jimmy, if you happen to be in Manila, pls visit the Spiral Buffet in Sofitel its the best!

I know I would have a humbling GREAT 🤣time restaurant hopping with you! Good memories great times, great times 🤣
i think many people go to vikings because bday celebrant is free when they go in group.😂 i think the gravy is lechon sauce.
