When I first moved to our home, my next door neighbors were philippino! Her cooking is amazing and I have been so fortunate to have many delicious meals with them! They definitely know how to throw a party and karaoke 🎤 is a thing with them for sure! They have since moved but she does send me food on a regular basis! That buffet looked amazing 👏 😋 😍! And as always, your videos are very well done! ( I get to live vicariously through them since I am homebound now! ) I look forward to Sunday evening to view them!Have a wonderful week and I can't wait to see where you are taking us to next week!
I don’t know how you ate all that food but I like how you ate such a trooper in tasting every one is bringing you! You’re very gracious to everyone of my kababayan and they are returning their graciousness to you!🙏🙏🙏
Hahahaha! I know what you mean! Every time they come they bring you something you know you have to taste even though you’re already full! That’s the graciousness from you!
I love when you go to the Philippines!! My Uncle Rudy was born & raised there. Moved to California with nothing & started his own bar/restaurant. My Aunt Pollye met him there & they had the most wonderful love story ever!! Uncle Rudy would make us the most awesome dishes when they came to Tennessee for vacation. He introduced us to soy sauce, cabbage rolls & his famous tuna casserole (which is a frittata with tuna, cheese, onions. I think, my Mamaw changed it to "casserole"😂). I think of him everytime, I make it. He was the sweetest man I ever knew, except for my Papaw. He spoiled me rotten(always saved the fish eyeballs for me 🤣😉).
What amazing hospitality! Considering visiting HEAT Shangrila in our upcoming trip to the Phil in a couple of months! Thanks for sharing. You are easily one of the most likeable/genuine food vloggers on YT!
Wow good to see you were back and enjoyed what you came in the Philippines for. Ilove your content and enjoy watching your videos. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope to see more wherever your next destination is. Stay healthy though. God bless.
What wonderful food adventures you take us on! Right off, the whiskey sour looked delish! Then a plethora of different dishes! All topped off with a few simple sweet desserts! The ice cream looked scrumptious! Thank you Tim!
Hi Tim, I really enjoyed watching this video. I love buffets! If I ever get the chance to go to Manila, I will definitely book in for this magnificent 5-Star Buffet.
OMG! Lots of people have told to me how friendly Filipinos are but they've downplayed their hospitality. Cause, I've only had family force feeds me like that!
That buffet looks AMAZING!!! The Salmon mosaic/ the salmon sashimi/long California roll looked soo cooll I don't eat Pork products but everything else looked amazing. I was particularly impressed with how good the desserts looked - usually desserts aren't so great at these buffets. And I loved seeing how appreciative and kind you are to the staff (particularly the kind man who brought you the naan)..
I love watching your videos. You are so polite and unassuming. It's no wonder you make friends with everyone! My Dad loves marrow. We thought he was weird when we were growing up!
Such a variety of food. Like the whole fish and lamb. And, lots of lamb dishes. I truly started feeling for you at the end. Hope you took that "thank you" dessert back to your hotel. Wow!!
Long time viewer, but this is my first comment. We need to thank you for NYC recs... we loved Crab House and The Buffet. But this trip we went to Mizumi and my gosh, it was your best recommendation. Well Ridge wallets have changed my life! If you ever get to Baltimore or DC, let me know. I owned/chuffed restaurants for 15 years and I can turn you on to many a spot!
Great video Tim. I’ve never seen take-out at an all you can eat buffet before…..you must have impressed them with your Canadian friendliness and charm💪🏼🥂
What meat dish did Chef bring you at the end? Everything looked delicious. Filipinos show their love with food. They will keep bringing you food until you surrender.
Thank you so much and really enjoyed the Filipino friendliness and of course the food. I’m sad to hear that the best buffet in the Philippines has closed down… The spiral buffet.
So happy that your back in the Philippines. We just watched it so I guess you'll also post the street food with your friends. Anyways, it will be better everytime instead of thank you, say Salamat and how are you is Kamusta na. Hopefully, we can go home next year.
Hi, Kansi and Bulalo are two different filipino beef soup dishes. Kansi is a specialty of Bacolod. It has a mild sour taste and the broth is yellow in color from Anato seeds. Bulalo is a Batangas specialty. It has no sour taste and has clear beef broth. It's nice to know you had a great time here in the Philippines.
Thank you so much! Really nice to know and I love the two soups as well. The Kansi is a nice way to open the appetite. Thank you again and wishing you and yours a happy holiday.
Thank you for the Shangrila in Manila tour. Their International Food Buffet is superb. Hopefully, Shangrila in Cebu will also have the same International Food Buffet ❤
I was duly impressed at how much of the savoury options you managed to put away.. 😃.. and then surprised that you chose a massive lump of deep fried sticky rice as your first dessert option.. but I think I understand why..this buffet seems to have a lot of very good options, and it’s refreshing to see that they avoid serving up most of the usual suspects that many hotels push.. can I ask you how long it usually takes you to make your way through such a large amount of food ? I do realise that you are filming too , so that must take up a lot of time also.. anyway a rough estimate would be a good thing to know ? Those Filipino dishes all seemed to be very delicious.. I only have a small knowledge about their food cultures- I’ve only spent a couple of weeks there so far .. but I look forward to returning and exploring deeper into their National food treasures.. ( not Balut though .. ever ! 😂) thanks for guiding us yet again .. I hope you recover often enough between bouts of Major League Buffet Eating !! Peace .. ✌🏻
They were certainly generous with all the dished served out in addition to the buffet. Typically when not filming, it's probably about 1.5 to 2 hours at the buffet to be able to leisurely eat and chat. When taking videos, it does take a considerable amount of time.. typically about another 1 to 1.5 hours, but very enjoyable and you're munching all the way :-)
Hi Tim…I enjoy watching your travel and food adventures so much. I’ve not tried food from the Philippines and this looked absolutely wonderful. I live in the Metro Vancouver area as well. Are there any Philippine restaurants you could recommend that you’ve tried? Looking forward to your next video. 😊🇨🇦
I was gonna say someone snuck salmon into your "California roll" 😁but you noticed it was salmon before you ate it...that was a really nice looking buffet and I enjoyed seeing the market love night markets
Thank you Tim Lee showcasing Philippines my home country foods first class you definitely inspired different cultures thank you showing appreciate watching from California 🙏🏼🌹
Really enjoy the philippines. Absolutely amazing food culture and people. I got to try quite a few restaurants this time and getting a little bit more spherical for it
TIM- I missed this video somehow! My God the food looked so incredible!! ONE amazing thing about going to Philippines (and my Filipino friends agree) is they offer SO many more food items than in Vancouver- a GREAT example being properly marinated BAGNET (deep fried Pork Belly). LAST time I had it was in Angeles City in 1998 when I was in the Army!!!
I know! It’s so different in the Philippines and there are so many more options. Yeah, I know this video had a bit of issue because UA-cam banned for a short while because of its shocking/inappropriate content due to the roast lamb and the roast pig
buffet looks so good. I cant help to compare but the food selection is bigger here than in Les Grand Buffet which you also featured, but they vary like the wines, cheeses, caviar, and french cuisine which the french restaurant had. And the lobster which ou love. No wines at the Heat?
This was very enjoyable, and yes, they do have wine here. I might not have shown the scale properly…Les grands buffet is quite large, and truly a sight to see in person😋
Tim - you are awesome, going from Europe, to N. America, to Asia in a blink of the eye. Maybe you should check out Australia, South America, and Africa too. In addition to the Shangri-La, you probably know Sprial Buffet in the Sofitel Hotel - both are top notch. Good job once again !!
You missed the crispy lechon skin.😂...that was way too much food. I was stuffed just watching you eat. Enjoy your trip, looking forward to your next video!❤
Good morning tim lee nice to see you again enjoy your buffet in Manila we ❤️ u ❤️❤️❤️ my favorite food eating vlogger 😊😊😊😊so handsome guy very good person . enjoy your eating 😋😋😋😋

That bulalo should come with a warning - 'EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK' and a 50% discount to a gym.hahaha. Nice review. The last time I was in Shangri-la, they had a different buffet.👍
Great video Tim 👍I'm sure it was a camel 😆can't believe this buffet is only $46, meanwhile, they're hitting us with a whopping $13 for just one pint of nitrogen ice cream here in Houston😅if you don't mind me asking, did you move to Asia ?
I just watched the other version(I think the 2nd). But watching Tim enjoy a Buffet twice to use his quote... "Is not a Bad thing" 😂 UA-cam making you repost... ridiculous for filming cooked fish 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thank you so much... But the violations continue (with this one just flagged as well) but they're still allowing it to be up and won't indicate where it is. I'm starting to suspect the duck...🤦🏻♂️😉

Tim, with that dessert line-up, I would skip everything and start there!
"Life is short, eat desserts first!"

@TimLeeLetsGo be sure to plan Baltimore in September thru early November when the crabs are fat, heavy and sweet! Plus pit beef!
I spent 5 weeks at this hotel last summer. The food was absolutely amazing!
Wow, the bite of fried croissant with pistachio ice cream sounded wonderful!
That was one of the best desserts I've had
I hope you know Tim your smile makes everything!

I have been to Shangri La many times and the international buffet is my favorite.

I wish it was in the states or in canada. This is in Manila Philippines
@TimLeeLetsGo thank you so much I love your videos I watch them all
Wow,they surely do feed you!
They certainly went over and above 😋
Seems like they would have taken the Grouper to peoples table instead . Is not like they cant see it . But no seafood in Manila is strange.
Do you have a cameraman or you are doing the video alone?
It’s just myself filming. Hence you never see both hands at once.😆
@@TimLeeLetsGo Cool! That's a very effective way of making a living with UA-cam.
