Thanks so much for this. Dyson was apparently not going for the "user-friendly prize" when they flung this assembly together. One thing's for sure, it'll be a cold day in hell before I'm ever tempted to buy a Dyson again.
Great vid. I went a step beyond and figured out how to remove the attachment receiver with the flap to clean it out as well. The really cool part is that ALL the plastic non wired parts are dishwasher safe. ....
With canister and filter off my dyson still shuts off after a few seconds. A repress of the button a second or more later and it goes for another few seconds. Is there anything you can recommend top check? Is there a thermal cut out on motor easy to get to
Kind of confusing so I would stop at each step of the process until I got my dc35 completely taken apart. It helped identify why mine was stopping and starting. Lots of dirt inside the housing. Wasn't a problem with the filter at all. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much, your video was very useful. I can now wash the bin properly.👍

I was watching your video while I was fixing my DC45
my Dyson was smelling like a wet dog but this video showed me how to get to that area that had old dog hair. Thanks!

is the cyclone assembly all plastic with no electrical wires? Can it be washed, rinsed to clean out all dust?

thanks you saved me a lot of money
How about removing the flap-valve in the part which connects the suction tube to the bin? Is it glued on?
Thank you so much! This video really helped!
Very helpful. Thanks very much.
Would be a good idea to use a wider blade screwdriver to remove the barrel, to enable easier prising off.
Thx man, problem solved
