Every time I hear that song by the Cars, Circuit City comes to my mind, apparently the song worked to remember, but not enough to save the company from its demise.

My parents frickin miss Circuit City. My family and I live in Texas, and the news about reopening made them go all around TX, but found no Circuit Citys, now abandoned near you.
I remember Buying Double Features DVD of (Dawn of The Dead & Land of the Dead), WWE One Night Stand: Extreme Rules 2008 DVD & Shawn Michael's Triumph DVD in 2008 at Circuit City really good store do Missed it being around.
This song worked so well for Circuit city’s brand... I thought their latest overall brand image and logo and commercials before they went under were clicking really well, but unfortunately it was just too late and not enough...
I worked for them for like 3 years. I remember when this new marketing campaign rolled out. We had to come in to work a half hour early before we opened. They showed us these just what I needed commercials and management explained how all our roles were going to change... Yeah, well that worked well... Hated working there. All managers did was ride you all day about your sales per hour. Ours were ruthless. Other employees and even managers would swoop in and steal your customer and sale to bump their sales/hour. We didn't even make commission. It had ended right before I got there. So we were basically all just competing to keep our jobs. Lot's of fighting and grudges. It's no wonder they went under.
We used to have Circuit City in Salem, OR where I lived and they move cuz they didnt have to much people in Salem so they decided to move to Keizer Station & open February 18, 2008 then close in 2009. The old one is now Willamette Family Medical Center and the second one in Keizer is now REI (Recreational Equipment Inc.)
I been there too, I haven't been there for years now, btw my uncle told me that Fry in the past used to be Future Shop! Is that true that used to be Future Shop where Fry was?
