This is very pretty Jeanette. Your work is always beautiful
This is so pretty, Jeanette! Your stitching and choice of fabric colors is just as beautiful and creative as your creations with lace and appliqués. I like to slow stitching and need to pick it up again. There is so much going on in the world and slow stitching would be very relaxing and freeing for the mind. Thanks for sharing your work. Wishing your family member the best 😊

So very lovely.
Beautiful 😍
Very nice!
How lovely!
Good Lord, Jeanette, there is nothing you can't do. This is gorgeous -- I love the colours you have chosen and can't wait to see the final result. I did an "embroidery roll" just to have something to do during lock-down which didn't include eating, which I somehow still managed to do -- ha -- I hope you and your family fared well during these past few months; it's been crazy, that's for sure, and seems to be getting worse as the days go by -- this would make a lovely needle book -- over the years I've collected embroidery threads from the thrift store when I found them, and often in sewing grab bags little projects with needles, etc. would be included, which I crammed into plastic zip top bags -- ha. We are in the process of moving, even though we haven't found a place to move to -- my awful, awful neighbor turned us into our landlord for having cats, and he 2 wks ago he literally murdered my 16 y/o cat Samantha, who was the only one of our pets, and me, to survive our house fire in 2005 -- he put stryctnine poisoning in cat food and put it under the bush in our yard -- he's literally sick in the head -- our police are involved in other activities now, and he disposed of her body -- just like Molly, whom I think he now killed her, too -- he told my neighbor about Samantha; she got out by accident -- animal control advised as soon as they open back up for business, they will have someone come out and "talk" to him, but without her body and with nothing more than her missing and his statement to my other neighbor, there's not much they can do. I worked in the law for nearly 30 years, and I know the right course of action is not vengence, but justice through the legal system. He has filed for federal disability benefits stating he is 100 % disabled because he had surgery on his neck and now can't bend his hand all the way closed, or do other physical work -- so, we have filmed him doing strenuous yard work for over 2 hrs. at a stretch, washing his two cars (parked on the street) and carrying in bags with his "disabled" hand firmly closed. He also stalks me --- his blinds are broken where he has been looking into our house, and I've now filmed him numerous times when I walk to the bus stop across the street, he comes out on his porch and as soon as I get on the bus, he goes back in -- but since all of this happened, both he and his wife are staying inside -- After the fire, I worked for the government senior and disabled persons healthcare, called Medicare, even though I could have gone out on disability; I had a child to support, but I know the steps -- we have what's called the Inspector General, and they investigate government fraud -- federal fraud, especially now when funds are tight due to covid-19, is a huge issue, which carries severe monetary penalties, as well as jail time -- kill my cat !! We also used to have two colonies of feral cats here -- hence how Finn got her man, and we got all those kittens -- finally have found homes !!! for all but one !!! -- but realized they are all gone -- we also had a huge family of white squirrels, which were not albino and had nests in the big trees around our houses, but a recessive gene -- they're all gone -- as well as that possum which used to eat my tomatoes in my garden -- and -- the regular squirrels are gone since Samantha. We had an owl who would come sit in our tree in the back yard every single night until the past month -- he's gone, we think from possibly eating a tainted mouse or squirrel -- and owls are federally protected wildlife -- a $2500 fine and potential jail time -- plus, it's illegal to acquire stryctnine -- and -- I kept smelling pot during the "lockdown" when I'd go sit out in the backyard, and kept yelling at my kid, who claimed he was innocent -- well, my son caught him at 3 o'clock in the afternoon puffing away on a joint in the alley behind our houses -- and Tyler said he used to come in the store where my son worked 2 years ago all the time buying "rolling papers" -- so I've been talking to other neighbors and the stories they tell are unreal -- this one man who lives on the street behind us, but his uncle lives directly behind us -- nicest elderly couple -- and we'd had a storm and there was trash back there, and he was bent over picking up the trash in the alley and this man comes barreling out of his house accusing him of going to the bathroom and not No. 1 and just was yelling and cursing at him -- we've heard terrible arguments coming from their house in the middle of the night and he literally pushed his wife in front of my son, who stepped in -- so it's good we're going -- but geeze !!
Sew pretty. How do you order thick batting?
Thank you Shirley and my apologies for the late reply. I use a thinner wadding and found some in the thrift shops last year but I'm sure you can order from an online fabric store. Take care :)
