@AngelKlavir I didn't have a problem with crosses, I would only throw hooks with my forward hand because I assumed jabs wouldn't do any damage. I was mostly a street fighter so everything was a power swing.
@Heassik ! I didn't have a problem with crosses, I would only throw hooks with my forward hand because I assumed jabs wouldn't do any damage. I was mostly a street fighter so everything was a power swing.
A trick I use that always hits is: do a left hook and let him block it. While retracting your left hook back, stop midway and change it to a hard push jab.
@@ra6160 Yeah, it creates a confusion for the opponent. When retracting your left jab, your opponent thinks your right hand is coming, maybe an uppercut or you're going back to defending. It opens up their defence a bit. And you're pulling only 50% back, not fully. So your jab will be there instant. So he drops his guard a bit and you're still very close with your left hand towards his. It connects instant to his face with the jab. You can also do a feint backward step with it, let him think in that split second you're backing off. And then out of nowhere your retracting left hook becomes a jab. Once your jab or it's called a cross, once it connects use it to place your uppercut. Create the opening with it and make a path for the right uppercut.
@@damolaolugboji7545 thanks! When I was sparring with my cousin he had such a good defence and I tried this. He could not evade my jab, it was so unnatural to him.
Well it’s the (half) the ability to recognize patterns, and here they’re recognizing patterns in a fight, and how to capitalize on that. So, you could say it’s a strategy against people with above average iq, which was in fact created by technically higher iq.
I’ve been watching you guys for a month as I’ve got my amateur boxing fight on June 25th and you guys are so good with teaching things. Makes it so much more simple. Love the videos ! Edit - I’ve uploaded my fight onto UA-cam. I did a mma fight in March and it ended as a no contest so this fight was a redemption arc.
This is a useful move for fighters who move around the ring a lot. Especially if you notice that they’re trying to anticipate your movements or cut you off. They will essentially create the angle for you
I have seen many boxing videos. Some are master class. However, the way you two use your Iq to market , your technical ability, and keep me engaged and more than all making me laugh... I have no chance to deny that you are the no 1 boxing technical videos I've watched so far. ❤
I trained Kyokushin Kai for a while, something I always kept a mental note of during spars was: don't watch their legs for the most part, the only time you should take their legs into account is if their knee raises at least halfway up the length of their thigh, since most people keep on the balls of their foot to preserve energy and keep a considerable amount of explosive energy and effectiveness, they aren't going to be worried about raising their legs much for any other reason than kicking
I'm no professional...but having been a scrapper in the streets...footwork makes all the difference. Being able to move off the "X" and change your angle...timed right...opens up combos all day. Send it!
@@thecrazycapmaster The power in the punches start in the feet but something like a duck starts from the knees. Blocking or parrying a punch starts from the arms(or shoudlers) ... So not everything in boxing starts from the feet, but powerful punches do.
👍...I've had success with stepping forward into range, stepping off angle to the back then blitzing forward. Spinning back fist and back kicks are my only worries
Was literally just thinking about this move in my head as I was falling asleep and how cheeky it is even for confident fighters that like to follow or chase
I think this could work on my main sparring partner but not me because if a guy does some funky shit in front of me I usually just take a half step back and keeo my range
It’s pretty effective but I’ve been caught with the right hook whilst doing this, it’s best to keep the left hand close to the chin when lunging in like this, then you can throw the left once they’re stunned from the right, saves you getting countered 😂
Love the vids, thanks!! My cardio/strength is okay, Been boxing for a month now, hoping to go amateur in a year of hard work. Thanks so much! Liked/sub
this is awesome it legit reminds me of a stepback three in basketball, using your momentum in reverse to come back to your back foot, then propelling all that force into your straight is such a great way to generate power and misdirect your opponent. great vid
I think my biggest problem when I started boxing was thinking that jabs were weak.
Thats a cross tho
Thats cross 💀
Jab is the hardest punch by far.

love that combo. Flows very well too

At this point, I’m confident the entire internet doesn’t know what iq is

Good luck bro, first fight is always the hardest but also the most rewarding.
Best of luck, don’t neglect your road work🫡
Good luck homie
2 days to go Gl bro
He looks 100% like Austin Theory

its amazing how that worked when you acted it out together
He even told him what he was going to do 😂
Bro crip walked his way into knocking his ass out 💀
deontay wilder did this exact move to knock out stiverne
Guy has his own Durden Tyler.
That loud beep caught me off guard, I went to check if my kitchen caught fire 💀
That pfffftttt after he hit the big😂😂😂😂

Oh nah lil cro jumped in the ring Roleplaying as main character
Deontay Joshua Ruiz did that against Stiverne before banishing him to the shadow realm
Y’all are so funny yet informative
Loma dominated haney with moves like that.
You finally own a ring.
"My iq maybe higher then yours" sounded like resident alien

Well Thank You Very Much ! Great Coaches! My Boxing Is Improving Because Of Your Videos! Thanks A Lot! 🙏🙏
This is one of my favourite moves along with the Tyson side shuffle
The shuffle
Lol he fell alright 😂
kinda roy jones jr vibe 🥊
yes this does work, especially later rounds. Sean Omalley does this alot and it works with him

By my understanding, everything in boxing starts from the feet which is why boxers will watch their opponent’s feet so much 😅

I’ll remember this for the next time my dad comes home drunk
Ive seen sean O'Malley do this alot
Less jokes more demonstration.
Thanks for the tip 🤝🏻
The ring dive😂
just like basketball crossover
It's like the Ali Shuffle

Watch this with headphones and its get each of theres voices on each other side
I used that technique in football and i didn't know that i could use that when fighting.
I imagine tricks like this is another reason why Mike Tyson said to watch from the hips to the shoulders
Pendulum step with a 45 degree cut, I like it.

I love sneaks when both men have their hands up! Izzy does this with his head kicks by the time his opponent looks down the shin is coming up
Yes Coach 🫡
I train alone a lot .
Can you guys put together some heavy bag workouts that we csn follow along with you ?
Great tip! I should probably mix this in my pendelum step.
Don't pendulum step frequently
In essence it’s just a far less flashy Ali shuffle right, diverts attention from the main goal
Throw in some jab faints in the beginning and thats great entry. Land and pivot out with footwork.
This is why you need to watch the chest when you box
How to run hands like a cyberpsycho:
This works 👍🏼
Many variations that one can do, but overall-- APPROVED!
I love you guys
And that’s how you perform a whip nae nae
Thank you guys. This is a gem this one 🙏🏼
Until someone isn't watching your feet and KOs you when you threw that weak little punch
Beautiful, beautiful, and again beautiful!❤
Whoaa😮😮
bros teaching the ksi karate stance now
Doesn’t make sense but okay
Lyoto Machida comes to mind
I'm backing up like homer into the bush as soon as I see that "baloney" footwork 😂
That was def Daley lmao
One good old school trick is putting your hand to the side as a distraction at the same time you hit jab with the other hand.
I have to try this tomorrow 🔥
Trevor Wittman fighters counters their opponents when they are at their step back.
Making your opponent watch your feet is the same logic as the Ali shuffle : Distract, and hit them at an unexpected angle

Sean O'Malley does that movement often.
That tumble edit was too silly.
Sorry mr beast
You never watch the feet, you watch the shoulders and hips
Crazy I was trying to visualise something like this yesterday and this came up 🔥🔥🔥
Good Stuff 👍
I use some of their techniques in mma and they are all valid
I did this before. And my coach calling me wrong moves😂
